Vegan food is not usually so available in Greek restaurants but there was so much vegan food on the menu I couldn't order it all. It was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was really fun with great service. The waiter even danced with the birthday girl!

We had a wonderful meal last night at this fabulous restaurant, although it was so busy we nearly never got in. I had a lovely moussaka and my husband had the lamb chops, which he said were the best he'd had in years. The service was attentive despite being so busy and all the staff were very friendly. Wish this restaurant was closer to where we live.

Been to gr/eat a number of times now and every time has been brilliant, whether we've gone as a couple, with family or friends. Would recommend the sharing meze a great taste of real Greek cuisine.

Went last night for our wedding anniversary. Warm and friendly welcome, excellent staff, attentive without being intrusive. Loved the Calamari starter, best calamari in Eastbourne. Lovely main courses with lots of choice. Very good value for money. 2 people with a glass of wine each for under £40.

Excellent value for money. Extremely attentive staff and the food is fantastic, we had the Lamb Shank and Moussaka which were cooked to perfection. All washed down with a Metaxa Brandy - Well worth a visit.

My friend lives in Hove and we traveled to Eastbourne to see another town. We were starving by the time we got to Eastbourne and noticed a lot of shops, but not a lot of food options. I remembered seeing the TripAdvisor list of restaurants and asked if Greek food sounded good to her, she said yes. We found this place and it was busy at 2:45pm on a Saturday, very good sign! The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and they had a good deal. One meze, salad or dip plus an entree for almost £11. Great deal! The food was fantastic. We had the kafterotiri, the Greek salad, and we each had the loukaniko with pita. We also ordered the Zamponotiropitakia which had ham and cheese inside, it was okay, but not great. They had Mythos beer, which I had one of and Greek coffee, I was in heave and so full I almost exploded!

Visiting Eastbourne, we found Gr/Eat Greek on Tripadvisor and are so pleased that we did! We were lucky to get a table, as very busy - so would advise booking. We had a deliciously authentic Greek meal in a lovely atmosphere, with Greek background music and wonderful staff. We haven't tasted Greek food like this outside Greece! Wish this restaurant was nearer to us! Thank you Gr/Eat!

It is a small restaurant so will get busy quickly. Luckily we managed to get a table without booking. Upon arrival they bring you a glass of water. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a fairly wide selection of food and drink. The food was delicious and the portion size was good. We rather enjoyed our meal and would love to go back. I would recommend this restaurant, very authentic.

Great restaurant, ,very busy so booking is recommended. In terms of food, traditional fare, the meze is superb value for money and great food but pace yourself as the courses kep on coming. The only downside is a totally greek wine list with no idea as to what the descriptions would compare to.

We have visited twice and have been so happy to enjoy really great Greek food both times. Hospitality as it should be and Vicky & Vasilis both passionate about what they do and keen to share their knowledge and advice over the menu choices. We have had Meze twice - Vasilis chose different dishes the second time ant tried them out on us - all exciting. The meats are marinated beautifully and so full of flavour as a result. Prices are great, food fantastic - NOT TO BE MISSED! We are going back with a prty of friends at Easter and leaving the menu again for Vasilis to bring the range of delights to make our palates dance!

Everything about this restaurant is incredible. I always have the best time whenever we choose to eat here. The place is always clean, the menu is extensive and tastes amazing. It’s beautifully authentic and the owner and chef Vasilis is wonderfully hospitable. The Greek meze set menu never fails to delight and the surprisingly extensive options they come out with when faced with vegans is great. The enchanting waitresses Steph and Harriet are the best team and work so hard to ensure we always have the best experience.

Date of visit 17th March at 6:30 pm. We stayed in Eastbourne for one night and took a stroll down the road feeling undecided about what we wanted to eat. Looking at the menu we decided to go Greek! Although we did not have a booking and the place was busy, the waitress managed to squeeze us in ( a very nice table!). We ordered 4 starters and 2 mains with a glass of Retsina each. The starters arrives promptly and were delicious. The portions very generous. The mains arrived about 10 minutes after the starters were cleared away. I had the lamb Shank and my wife had the chicken Souvlaki. The lamb fell of the bone and was tender and full of flavour. The chicken Souvlaki was pretty amazing and I got to sample that too as my wife at this point was bursting at the seams! For all the food and 2 drinks we had the bill came to a very reasonable £53. I have 2 regrets though; I forgot to try the Kalamari and secondly because I paid by card, I only had a small amount of change to leave as a tip. The food and service were both Great!!!

Yet another really lovely meal at the Gr/eat in this warm, clean and charming restaurant. The waitresses were great, the food was exceptional and the Manager/owner Vasilis was his normal charming self. There is nothing else to say except that we will be back again soon. Just a mention, remember to book up first instead of popping along on the off chance as they do get very busy, especially at weekends. Recommended!

We were looking for lunch in Eastbourne on a wet Sunday after visiting The Towner gallery (well worthwhile), it was 2.30pm but no problem at gr/eat.It is a greek family restaurant. The waitresses were very good indeed. The restaurant was welcoming and the food very good in quality and amazing value.One of our party was a vegan and this was no problem at all as they had good vegetarian and vegan options.

First visit here.The food was lovely ,staff very helpful and friendly and prices competitive.
The only downside was getting to toilets.They were spotless and well stocked but the stairs to get to toilets were quite steep and anyone with mobility problems I.e. Joints ect would have had problems.However it couldn't be helped as not a large resaurant and being in an old building toilets do all seem to be down stairs..

Good value, good atmosphere, clearly very popular restaurant. I wasn’t blown away completely but we enjoyed our food, moussaka was tasty, although chicken souvlaki seemed slightly under done, and we had to send it back to be grilled for a little longer

Having had the evening mezze on our last visit, we thought we'd try the lunchtime version. Yet again it was excellent but luckily smaller portions (cheaper price). The food was extremely tasty, freshly cooked and delicious.There was plenty for us to eat and sadly we didn't have room for a pudding. Perhaps next time we'll just have a couple of items from the menu rather than the mezze selection ...
We were lucky to have a seat in the window which meant we could watch the world go by whilst enjoying our food and red wine.Our waitress, Steph, was a delight and made us very welcome, as did the rest of the crew.
