Just spent a Friday till Monday pre Christmas break at the Langham visiting our daughter. The reception ar the hotel could not have been warmer and accommodating with attentive smiling staff, comfortable beds for a great nights sleep in a clean comfortable room, thick soft towels in a lovely ensuite together with a great menu for breakfast, not to mention the sea front where you can have that after breakfast walk nothing is too much trouble to make your stay great and make you want to come back.

Brief weekend stay and room very comfortable though not very spacious. Very small TV but free wifi with no access code which made it easier (but I don't know if that affects security). Lovely sea view and we had window open and could hear the waves in the background. Hardly any traffic on third floor Bathroom was modern and stylish. Breakfast was served rather than buffet which aids digestion but limits choice. I felt the breakfast was cheap with a cheap sausage and one flabby piece of bacon. Service was excellent though. Decor in main rooms rather old fashioned. I would say this hotel suits the older generation.

Fancying a cheeky night out at the seaside pre Christmas, and not liking the prices of trendy Brighton, our party of four thought that we would take a punt on Eastbourne.

Fantastically located on the seafront, the hotel is ideally placed for either a late night walk or an early morning sea front walk or run. Great for blowing the cob webs away.

Check in is seamless but if you want to make use of the car park, please be sure to book at the time of booking your room.

The hotel is very well maintained which unfortunately is all too rare in other seaside hotels of a similar age. Rooms are quite modern and well appointed, but not particuraly spacious. But still value for money.

Only slight let down to the whole event was breakfast. WOnderful service from the waiting staff and the impression is given that breakfast is cooked to order. Alas, I think not...I suspect that there are hot plates in the kitchen holding mass produced food which does show. Had breakfast been cooked to order, then another circle may have been added.

All in all a good option for a night out at the seaside.

Since my last visit to the Langham in November 2015 the bedrooms and bathrooms have been refurbished to a high standard. The restaurant was excellent, catering for a large crowd. On our table of eight people only three did not have special dietary requirements, including gluten free, lactose intolerance, diabetic, vegetarian and fish allergy. Everyone was catered for with appetising enjoyable hot meals, served in unison by well trained waiting staff.

We visited here for coffee after a seafront walk with a friend. Served on the terrace overlooking the sea. Outstanding value for money as we were offered either a flapjack or Christmas shortbread with our coffee. Price £2.60 including the homemade flapjack which was a generous portion and had a lovely buttery, syrup taste. Will be returning. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely 2 night break in October and the hotel was fantastic. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The food was fantastic and were already looking forward to going back next year. The staff couldn't do enough to help.

We could not have been made more welcome from the minute we arrived. Staff always on hand to help if needed with a smile, extremely polite and friendly. Rooms very comfortable with a fabulous sea view. There is disabled access from outside as well as a lift to all floors. Parking is also available just a short walk away Would definitely recommend

We stayed at this hotel as a part of a Lodge Ladies night. The hotel is situated right on the seafront. You can drop off your cases right outside and then had parking at the barracks just a short walk away.
The food was excellent and the staff friendly and obliging.
The rooms were of a high standard with tea and coffee facilities in each room along with TV. There is a lift to all floors.
I would recommend this hotel for functions and short breaks.

We stayed at this Hotel for a few days on a coach trip. I have family in Eastbourne and two lots of them joined my partner and I for dinner on two separate evenings. The staff went out of their way to make them welcome, especially the children. This hotel is very clean, the food is excellent and the bedrooms are very quiet but the main thing which stood out is the staff and the owner who do their utmost to make your holiday special.

We booked for afternoon tea the hotel itself is lovely with regard the afternoon tea there was an abundance of lovely cakes and a beautiful homemade scone each however there was a lack of sandwiches between 2 people we had only 8 finger sandwiches really feel that less cakes and a few more sandwiches would greatly improve this afternoon tea. Staff were friendly but seemed a little disorganised. Overall not the best we have tried

Last minute unexpected business stayover saw me booked in here in preference over Premier Inn which was too expensive and was taken aback by the magnificence of the building ! Staff most welcoming and polite. Impeccably clean. Exceptional breakfast. Sea views amazing. Room was small but was booked as a single and at a very reasonable price. Window draughty and electric storage heater was of the vintage stinky type but got me dried out and nice to see somewhere with original windows, decor etc. Will definitely make the effort to stay here again. Class.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. It is conveniently situated on the front with lovely views and only a 15 min walk to the pier and shops. Once again the food was excellent and the staff amongst the friendliest I have come across. The front facing rooms are of better quality but having stayed in a rear facing one this time apart from being a little bit small was fine. Shower didn't have massive power but water was nice and hot, even at busy times i.e. 1st thing in the morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel

We are repeat guests and returned to the Hotel on the 19th November for our Ladies Weekend and were pleased to find that the good standards had been maintained. Excellent, clean and comfortable accommodation with polite, curtious staff who are willing to multi task and pamper to your every needs. A family proactive involvement who continually invest in maintaining the four stars this period hotel deserves
Well done Langham Hotel keep up the good work and looking forward to our next visit.

For my wife's Birthday decided to take up the "special" stay this Thursday for dinner bed & breakfast.
Over the years had some delicious lunches when with a large group-and assumed same quality/quantity would follow through in 2016.
Oh dear not so,
Forgot to realise that premises now such as this over-run by coach parties to fill it up on a regular basis-to break even.
Chose a back room as for 1 night not worth the. extra. It was very well appointed except that one had no possibility whatsoever to read anything in bed as lights pure decoration-such a pity being provided with low output.
Dinner was OK-but certainly not memorable-one was confronted with 2/3rds of the menu being subject to a surcharge.
Many people have said how they have enjoyed themselves-sadly we disagree .It was supposed to be a treat -such a shame we beg to differ.
Not for us sadly.
What really annoyed us was to turn up only 30 minutes after dinner commenced to have over cooked vegetables(and only a few) plonked on a plate-used to attend functions when bowls of plentiful freshly cooked vegetables were placed on the table to tuck into. Coach parties have clearly lowered the standards.NO excuse for a few soggy ones now .Does not cost much to revert back.
Shall stick to just having excellent coffees on the terrace-live quite locally..

We have visited the Langham Hotel a couple of times now and everything about it seems to just get better and better. They have refurbished some sea view rooms (that are named, rather than numbered) and they are absolutely stunning, definitely worth the extra cost if you enjoy pure luxury! The bar is lovely to sit and watch the world go by, the lunch menu is extensive, very enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the owners stop to say hello and have a chat which is always a nice touch as I'm sure they are extremely busy. All in all, it is a great place to escape and relax, that's certainly what we did and I'm sure we will plan to again! :-)

Had one of the newly refurbed rooms would recommend Cuckmere absolutely great room with full length windows, drinking tea in the morning and looking across the sea was just lovely.
Had a wonderful walk in Cuckmere Haven to the life guard cottages(where Luther was filmed) superb view of the seven sisters.
Can't wait for our next little break.

It's hard to fault this hotel. Great value, lovely rooms and fantastic food. I have been staying here for many years and each year it gets better from the reinvestment programme. This is a really well run hotel with helpful friendly staff.

Attentive, pleasant staff .
Nothing was to much trouble .
We were a mixed age and ability group that had many requirements !
The hotels manager made himself known to us at a very early stage and regularly engaged with us. Although he had many other guests and functions to deal with he was a credit to the hotel.

I booked this Hotel as I was working in the area and needed a convenient Hotel for one night and this one looked the best via its website. I found it to be near empty, it is November after all. The restaurant was busy in the evening with a function. I did ask if I could have a sea view after all I had booked a superior room, but was told this would be an additional charge? I suggested that given the Hotel had only 25% occupancy and it does not cost anything more to service a room but my request was turned down. I understand any upgrade is at the discretion of the Hotel but felt a bit put out! My original room was very cold at the back of the Hotel so they moved me to another which was equally as cold, also at the back of the Hotel between floors, however after turning up the electric heater it soon got warm. There was no heating in the bathroom except for the towel warmer which was obviously covered with towels. No towel rail beside the sink so nowhere to hang the towel other than at the other end of the bathroom on the heated rail. Bit of a faff! I didn't eat in the Hotel due to the noisy event in the restaurant. Generally it is a very good hotel and I would stay there again. Maybe not as central to the pier and shops as others in the town but for one night it was a worth the comfy bed.

This hotel deserves in 4star, it has beautiful rooms, lounge, bedrooms, the staff are so helpful including the owner, nothings too much trouble & the food is 6 star, looks great & taste even better, lovely menus. The location is terrific. Right on the beach, the pier and pavilion close by. The rooms are nice and they are renovating and updating them one by one. If you can get a renovated room, grab it. The owner lives on the property and is simply wonderful. He is a life long hotelier with amazing stories (his dad lived there till he was 104). Food is good, the bar is nice. And, if you have a room with a sea view, life is almost perfect.
