A most enjoyable Sunday lunch with friends. This is a regular event at the hotel and always popular. The chatter in the room can make it difficult to fully enjoy the jazz trio but doesn't spoil it. The food is served very hot on very hot plates which suits me fine as it's easy to spoil a meal when 'mass' catering can delay some dishes reaching the table resulting in luke warm meals.

The service was excellent from start to finish. Good disabled access. Room service is reasonably priced and breakfast was everything advertised. Located opposite the seafront. Parking can be accessed free on the side streets around the hotel.

We attended this function and had a wonderful evening. The food, ambience and entertainment were top class. The Elvis impersonator was exceptional as well as his impersonations of Dean Martin and various other crooners. This was a thoroughly enjoyable evening backed up by the friendly and helpful staff.

March 24/25 .2017 . 3RD Time of having our Ladies Week End here I didnt think we could have had a better time than we did L/Y March 2016 but we did .Everyone said what a wonderful time they have had .The rooms are all very Comfortable and Beautifully furnished, the Food is always Outstanding ,the Entertainment was Brilliant and the Service in Every Area of the Hotel is a credit to the Proprietors Wendy and Neil Kirby and all the members of staff nothing is too much trouble for them to provide you with what ever your need is .(within reason) Hope to see you all again soon.

I treated my husband to lunch in the Conservatory to celebrate his 70th birthday. The service was excellent and our waiter, Lucas, was very friendly yet efficient. We couldn't fault the food either, (which was also excellent value), and after the meal Lucas brought out a complimentary birthday cake as a surprise for my husband! The sun was shining and we had a table by the window overlooking the sea - what more could you want? The stained glass windows in the main areas of the hotel add a lot of character. One area that could be improved, however, is the bar area, which could do with a refurb to update and brighten it up, but overall we thought it was a lovely hotel.

Visited for an afternoon tea after having read the excellent book Celebrity Hotel written by the owner Neil Kirby a 'rags to riches' council lad makes good, from washer up to Hotel Owner.
I bet he didn't have a zero hours contract when he started out lol !
Friendly staff, great quality afternoon tea, and nicely decorated. not old world, but not modern corporate or seaside either, kinda classic hotel, but up to date. Very thoughtful and appealing, and I really liked the huge photographs in the bar, though that was opposite end of hotel from where afternoon tea was served in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit, all the other customers were very enthusiastic about the place and it appears lots of people were return visitors both for food and staying over to visit Eastbourne.

Always difficult to recommend well priced hotels with attentive staff, situated right on the sea front in Eastbourne limited car parking on site 86 bedrooms some with marvellous views over the sea, still busy in March but they market it to coach trips and Masonic events, whilst its busy but the staff manage it well, only one lift, food menu is reasonable and well prepared still prepare breakfast to order not buffet

My partner booked this hotel for me online whilst I was travelling on business in the area. I am very glad she did, I had been booked to stay in a single room but was offered on arrival to upgrade to a double for an extra charge. The room I was allocated was located on the third floor conveniently by the lift (Room 306 - As I understand a very newly refurbished room). The room was well decorated, modern, the bathroom was excellently finished, with lovely Gilchrist & Soames luxury shower products.

I enjoyed a glass of wine in the lovely lounge/bar area before I went into the restaurant for a wonderful value three course meal - The Full English Breakfast was also really good the following morning!

Overall a very good value, well managed hotel, with excellent very helpful staff!

I will definitely be returning for leisure in the near future and may even choose to opt for a seaview! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Enjoyed the best afternoon tea I've had in ages! Amazing scones, delicious sandwiches and everything was so fresh! Staff were lovely and a fabulous view as well! Very happy to deal with food intolerances too!

The hotel's location, our room with large sea view bay window, the attitude and courtesy of the staff, the quality of the food, and the fact that breakfast was served at the table rather than buffet, all combined to make the experience of staying at this excellent hotel very memorable, and my wife and I hope to return. It is clearly very well managed.

I attended a Langham Luncheon Club on 22 March. The lunch club is a regular monthly event held in the main restaurant. The speaker this month was Jonathan Maitland, entertaining us with his talk about "The Downfall of Margaret Thatcher". We had a delicious three course meal, followed by coffee/tea and mints. The starter celeriac soup with wild garlic was delicious, followed by cod fillet with an unusually tasty orange sauce, was rounded off with a vanilla and white chocolate mousse with candied kumquats. All this was accompanied by a pre-lunch drink and wine with the meal. All in all a very enjoyable luncheon with good company and, tasty, fresh and well presented food. Staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel's website gives details of the various luncheon events throughout the coming year. I'll be sure to be back for another event.

Just returned from an excellent Masonic Ladies weekend here. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere; our rear bedroom was not huge, but perfectly formed with everything we needed other than the view (but we tend not to sit in our hotel bedroom looking out of the window)! The food was just excellent, both breakfast and the evening meals. The Saturday night banquet was especially good with a large selection of reasonably priced wines. The bar area has space for everyone and was well staffed, we never queued long to be served. Breakfast was served at the table, and was top quality. I reiterate my previous comments, what really made it so good were the staff; from reception to bar staff, waiting staff to maid service, everyone was courteous and polite, yet smiling and friendly. So refreshing to see people apparently enjoying their jobs. Free wi-fi, and free parking was 5 minutes walk away. Thoroughly recommended.

Just returned after enjoying a lovely weekend with thanks to the Langham.
Held a big family celebration for 87 people. Enjoyed a beautiful dinner followed by lots of dancing. It was a wonderful evening and everybody found the hotel extremely comfortable.
Thank you so much to all the staff and the owners Neil and Wendy Kirby, for making our day and weekend so memorable. Everybody loved it and the hotel.

Visited over Friday and Saturday nights in early March as part of a group of 60+. Not everyone can get a sea view room ... so our room was comfortable if an unexciting vista. In close proximity to the kitchens and main dining/function room we were untroubled by any noise pollution. The room a little small with standard fittings and features and the en suite bathroom relatively spacious.
Meals were excellent and some good wines at reasonable (hotel) prices.
parking a pain (an arrangement with the local TA centre 5 minutes walk away) but this is to be expected on Eastbourne sea front.
All in all, a comfortable and tidy hotel with good staff and service that I would use again.

Just spent a weekend at the Langham at a Ladies Festival, this time returning and being there for the second time, we arrived on the Friday to find the staff very helpful and getting to our room also found that to be lovely, parking was in a secure compound which was a short walk away, the attendant was very polite and helpful.
On the Saturday of the Ladies Banquet I had a problem and asked the Hotel for help with regard to a mistake I had made, Neil the owner had it sorted out within a couple of hours, and I can't thank him enough, during the festival meal Ali the restaurant manager was also very helpful steering me in the right direction.
Well done to all the members of staff.
Great Weekend

Revisited hotel and took advantage of their £59 March special tariff for dinner bed & breakfast, which was superb.
The refurbishment programme they undertook several years ago has made this into a delightful hotel & improvements in furnishings still continue.
Eating in the conservatory is always a delight and strongly recommended.
Service and menu for breakfast and dinner was excellent.
We will be back there next year.

We have just returned from a weekend at The Langham Hotel for a masonic ladies festival. Although Neil and Wendy were on holiday, Simon and all the staff looked after us superbly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was excellent, from the cleanliness and size of the rooms to the facilities. The bar area has spacious seating overlooking the sea, and although the actual bar is fairly small, even with a large number of people, there was never a long wait to be served. The food in the bar, and in the restaurant was excellent, to a very high standard. All the staff made our stay so enjoyable, I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team, they were truly superb. So many of our members and guests commented that it was one of the best hotels we have attended for our festival, and I am sure we will be back in the near future. Once again many thanks to you all at The Langham.

Spent two nights here in February. I had a superior inland double but actually think a single would have been big enough (and saved me £20 a night). Lovely comfy bed, modern bathroom (scorching bath, not so warm shower). Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast but I was disappointed with the burnt toast (which was brought to me too soon, so cold and inedible) on my second day.
Don't bother with booking a hotel parking space as plenty of free parking on the side streets nearby and payable parking on the sea front (pay 20p after 6pm and you're covered until 10am next morning)

I decided to hold my 60th Birthday Party at the Langham Hotel. With 15 people attending, it was decided to choose the menu before hand.

I must say the communication with both Neil and Wendy ( the owners) and Simon ( the manager) was second to none. As there were such a large number of people and with all their different dietary needs, nothing wasn't to much of a bother and catered for everyone.

To top it off, the meal was absolutely lovely, everyone within the party commented on how lovey the meals were presented, and how delicious their meal was.

I would recommend having a meal at the Langham Hotel anytime.

We won a one night stay in a raffle(having been before) and thought we would extend it to two nights- a Saturday and Sunday evening. Cannot fault the hotel, our room was clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Both nights we ate in the conservatory. Saturday evening there was a Masonic evening so an atmosphere was there. Sunday evening was very very quiet. We had dinner at 7.30pm and only one other couple was there, then they left. The ambience was just not there- a little light music would have made a huge difference! Also the menu had only just changed one choice otherwise it was the same as the Saturday evening. Also, food didn't seem so well prepared and as nice as before- was this because they only had us to cook for. We know it was winter and only 7 people in the hotel Sunday evening, but surely the food should be just as nice as if it was cooked for lots? Having said that, we loved the hotel and would definitely stay again, but would probably not eat dinner in the hotel more than once. Breakfast was brilliant, my husband loves fish and the kippers were plenty-thank you.

We stayed in the Amberley suite for 3 days. Superb atmosphere & the staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble especially my food requirments as I am Diabetic. The suite & hotel were spotlessly clean & the food was superb inluding the shortbread biscuits with your coffee. The hotel is on the seafront & a short walk from the shops & theatres. We look forward to our next visit.

STUNNING room (Ambleside/Amberly) which had been recently decorated was sublime. Sea view and everything we could ask for.

Great service but would expect the £8 parking to be inluded in the >£120 room..

Breakfast was a bit of letdown as it was basic bread- no seeded or artisan (local). Our waiter was half asleep and we waited a while to get a drink- which should really be offered when we were seated. I enquired regarding the trype of coffee (was it machine or freshly ground) and was told it was Nescafe! yet other tables had cafetieres. Finally I would have liked a read napkin not disposable.

I would stay here again but would not opt for any food.

Had a weekend at this wonderful family run hotel. From the minute you walk in you feel at home, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the public rooms are inviting and the bedrooms are spacious. We had a large room overlooking the sea, it was very nicely furnished, good sized bathroom and spotlessly clean. The food is excellent and we can't wait to go back again.

We stayed here as part of a Ladies Festival Weekend. The whole weekend was great. The hotel lovely, staff friendly attentive and would do anything to help.

The food throughout the weekend was lovely.

Already thinking about going back.

My only gripe would be the bedding. Sheets and blankets? Please get duvets.
