Arrived in Eastbourne late on Sunday night after cycling Southdowns way over three days, tired and hungry... our hotel's restaurant was closed so had to search for place to eat after 9pm... couldn't be happier to find this place. Owner (my assumption) managed to find us table for two and it only got better and better... we were offered warm bread, olives and mini pizza... service wad excellent and everyone was ever so friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. We had hellim and calamari to start with, followed by mix grill selection. Lamb, chicken and adana kebab served with burglar wheat, salad and grilled peppers, as well as spicy dip... what can i say... it's a must to visit... i will definitely go back again even thou it's over 50 miles drive... thank you so much for delicious food and excellent service.

Visited for lunch without booking or checking reviews first and were pleasantly surprised. Maybe not the cheapest but portions were generous and all we had was tasty. The bread, in particular, is delicious.
Loved that the chef came out from behind the charcoal grill to speak to us all (kids included) after our meal.

The food is very good. A bit rushed. Tables too close together for social distancing. Food is cooked in front iof you. Had to ask twice for water, even though we had alcoholic drinks.

Delicious food, friendly & fast service. We have been to this restaurant so many times and the food is delicious every single times we have been here. The main reason we come to stay in Eastbourne to eat here. I wish this restaurant was in London then we can enjoy every week. Highly recommend to anyone if you visit Eastbourne

Came in recommended by the reviews.. It was a bit far from all the other restaurants and quite small. It was way better than expected, the fact that you see the chef cooking all your food just right your back is amazing.
We ordered the kalamar and the lamb kebab, in less than 10 minutes was on the table! The house bread with some starters are such a nice detail! The only thing we didn’t like was the beer temperature, was a bit warm.
The waitress was really nice and helped us with the menu, also recommend the typical Turkish coffee that we loved it!

On holiday. visited first evening when on holiday 31st July. Amazing food. Very friendly and good service. However, another couple was placed on a table to the side of us, quite close. One of the senior staff, think it was the owner, was shaking hands with customers. Not following Covid protocols and felt unsafe. Would have given 5 * if they took the Covid regulations seriously. For that reason did not return to restaurant for further visits. This was a pity as the food was great.

We love this place , the food is freshly cooked in front of your eyes on the BBQ or in the clay oven. You feel like you are on Turkey again. Staff are efficient and friendly . Service to quick and excellent value for money.

Wonderful selection of food at reasonable prices. Great service and delicious flavours. Only let down was the calamari starter, leathery and clearly not fresh.... reminded me of frozen bags of calamari. That said, I will be returning and would recommend Meze for authentic Turkish cuisine
