Just back from an amazing meal at Meze restaurant Eastbourne. Lovely family run restaurant, food was fantastic, so fresh and generous portions. Complimentary bread and olives at the start as well as other delights! What a lovely man who owns the restaurant, attentive and great the way he made sure we were all happy. Love the open cooking. Proud of his restaurant and so he should be. Cant say enough about this place. Thank you so much!

What a great find! Thanks to the other positive reviews we set off for an early evening meal and we’re so pleased we did. They were fully booked later in the evening but fitted us in. Great service, tasty, interesting food. Big portions had us walking home the long way…. Highly recommended

We went here for lunch with our friends who were visiting Eastbourne. We had 2 babies needing high chairs and they only have one (just a heads up if you need 2). Firstly the food is sooooo nice! I would recommend the meze for 2 as its the perfect amount of food I think. The service was excellent despite our noisy children 😂 definitely worth a visit.

Not mind blowing but ok - meat was tender and nicely spiced. The guy that served us (I think the owner) couldn't decide whether to be happy or grumpy. The tonic water was flat. V busy restaurant - would go again but equally wouldn't rush there.

The place with perfect food and very welcome prices. If you like a lots of meet or fresh grilled fish, which will be cooked just in front of your eyes-you are in a right direction. And be hurry to book your table, it’s not always available, coz restaurant is full every evening)! Most welcome service in best Turkish tradition and a massive portions are awaiting for you! We happened across this place for lunch today and what an amazing find it is!

What a great find on our weekend break in Eastbourne. Had to eat early as later evenings fully booked but glad we did as would not have wanted to miss the opportunity to sample this amazing food. Great table overlooking the chef freshly cooking the food. I am vegetarian and enjoyed the feta and halumi dishes. Complimentary bread and olives and samples of lamb pizza. Would recommend 100%. Great value too...our bill with wine for 2 was £60. Remember to book a table in advance as very popular. Oh and the staff were incredible too....

Small, cosy and warm restaurant. Lovely ambiance and perfect for both a family night out and with friends. The open grill really heats up the restaurant so we were sweltering sitting next to it. Good measures to help with social distancing in covid but it is an increadibly small restaurant. Limited seating so booking a must. Wide range of Turkish foods, some of the descriptions on the menu are a tad bit and miss, so you can be a little unsure if what you are getting but all the food is lovely, freshly prepared and reasonably priced especially with the large portion sizes. Very easy to rack up a big bill, escpessially with the drinks so do be careful but a lovely experience. Has decent sized toilets in the back but steps at the entrance (which is also narrow) of the restaurant and to get to the toilets so not wheelchair friendly at all.

Had a really lovely meal at Meze after being lucky as a walk in couple. Initially we thought we were out of luck but a table came free at just the right moment. Given time to look through the menu as we nibbled on complementary bread, olives and cheese we both chose cold starters of shaksuka and Hummus which came with more pide bread and the bottled "draft" Efes which was very nice. We had mains of lamb shank and mixed kebab which came with a range of lovely accompaniments, bulgar wheat, salad grilled tomatoes and green peppers and lovely thick yogurt. Certainly a very filling meal and really good quality. Only 30 or so covers but has a lovely ambience with the food cooked at a charcoal grill in front of everyone and all the salads prepared as each meal was plated. Highly recommended
