Another fabulous meal at Pomodoro e Mozarella.
The value is unbeatable, £10.95 for two courses, a varied set price menu with good portions, excellent quality and fantastic service as always.
You can go on to the long ala carte menu which has some wonderful dishes
The atmosphere is friendly, warm and relaxed, we enjoyed our lovely meals;
I had the bruschetta to start, followed by the Pollo Milanese, breaded chicken breast with herbs, garlic , lemon and a side of delicious spaghetti with tomato sauce. Both courses faultless.
My partner had the ham pizza which was fantastic- crispy base and delicious topping, well seasoned and a very generous portion. Followed by the profiteroles.
We enjoyed some Merlot which was supreme.
Fantastic, can't wait to return.

Beautiful restaurant, warm atmosphere and engaging staff. It's better than when I was in the town some time ago.
The food was delicious, the servers professional (friendly, attentive, but not obtrusive) and every dish was presented like an artists palette, a picture per course.A thoroughly splendid dinner, with good wine and an enjoyable final digestive Grappa.

That was a real treat! The staff is super friendly and attentive. The place looks like a classic Italian restaurant, just perfect!
We thought the type of cuisine comes mainly from Calabria, but I might be wrong. Anyway everything was delicious. I had Risotto ai funghi e zafferano. Whoa! That was something really special. And after that Tiramisú! It wasn't gigantic, but it was soooo yummy.
I honestly would recommend this place. Top marks! If you happen to be in Eastbourne, just go there for dinner and you won't be disappointed.
BTW, the house wine was also nice.

So, my husband and I thought that after having lunch in the Italian restaurant La Locanda del Duca, we should go and try their neighbours for dinner and see how the competition is doing as they are so close to each other! And surprise! Pomodoro and Mozzarella belong to the same owner as Locanda del Duca! And that was a nice surprise! Again nice food, specially the calamari starter ( I forgot to take picture♂️) and the gluten/dairy free dessert! OMG! And some more friendly portuguese members of staff! Thank you and maybe see you again in the future

Been here two years in a row after beachhead marathon and every time the staff and food have been excellent. There is good set menus options if you want it cheaper.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They even took the time to inform us that the parking attendant was at our car. Our fault totally as we forgot it was Saturday and not Sunday. They still took the time to inform us. Can't fault anything with this place. Always been happy with the food and the drinks.Hopefully we will be back next year.

I reviewed this place in 2012 and again in 2015, both after visiting with friends for dinner the nights before the Beachy Head Marathon. We went back this year. My first review mentioned a few problems for vegetarians, and the second noted they'd improved a bit. Really pleased to report they now have an extensive number of not only veggie but vegan options on the menu - great progress! The bean and avocado starter was delicious, and the pasta arabiatta was also lovely, both from the vegan list. The pizzas looked fantastic too and according to friends they were as good as they looked. Still good service and still great value for money - we'll be back next year!

Very good value, quality meal. Huge menu and good set meal options. Our son went for the kids meal, which was generous for a 10yr old. Very busy for a Thursday night - the manager greeted a lot of couples like they were regulars.

Came here for a Birthday meal with the other half's family. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone enjoyed thier meals. Lovely restaurent. They cater well for gluten free and fussy eaters.

Went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We had booked a table still welcomed very well even though we a little late. We chose the fixed price menus - one at £13 and the other £21. Prawn salad and the aubergine starters were both excellent. For the main course had chicken with spaghetti and veal pizziola and both were excellent. The creme caramel and apple strudel were both great. All finished with an espresso. The service was excellent. Attentive and not rushed. Even had a card and a candle with the dessert with the team of waiters and fellow diners singing happy birthday. It was a lovely evening and a great celebration.

Decided to eat here before going to the theatre as close by. Ordered penne pasta with beef strips and lasagne with side salad. Salad beautifully presented. The food was gorgeous. Service very good and really quick. No wonder it was packed. Will eat here again

Three of us went for the first time and found a 2 course lunch for £10.95 and a 3 course lunch for £13.30 excellent value. The portions were of a very good size and the food was very tasty and piping hot. There was a wide choice, certainly something for most people i feel. We will definitely return in the not too distant future.

We were able to dine here on a mo day which was fab as many places were closed. We were served very quickly and the food was good however it is a large restaurant which was quite empty with a lot of staff present. It felt as though we were being watched the whole time and that we were being rushed to leave, our plates were cleared pretty much the moment we put our forks down. I would definitely recommend the pizzas however.

Did not make a reservation but restaurant recommended by our guest house owners. Relatively quiet at 6.15 but by 8.30pm absolutely packed and very lively. A warm welcome despite this being our first visit. Table was a little "in the centre" with people passing by every few seconds but did not really inconvenience us although next time we will book and ask for a table by the wall. All staff extremely friendly but efficient. Our meals were delicious, and excellent value for money. We were not rushed into choosing a dessert and/or coffee despite the restaurant being busy, and had a very relaxing evening. Would recommend both the chicken Milanese and the lasagne. Definitely one to use again.

We called without a reservation on a Friday night. No problem getting a table. Service was quick and efficient .Manager /owner/ greeted everyone-and seated everyone-and it did get very busy in the time we were there. I think a lot of customers were regulars. The food was as good as expected, with generous portions. Manager thanked us for visiting and hoped that we would call again-and we will when next in town!

An very nice meal. Very pleasant and efficient service. This restaurant was very busy/popular, but all courses were served in good time and the quality was excellent, as was the service. I did feel the tables were a bit crowded in, but if the alternative is that there wouldn't have been room for us, I'll go with the close tables. We would definitely recommend it.

This Italian family restaurant is in my opinion the best run restaurant in the area (Eastbourne/Bexhill/Hastings). As you enter you will be greeted. The delicious food always arrives at the right temperature, and the hot courses arrive on warmed plates - as they should. The service is professional, and you can decide whether you want speedy service (pre-theater) or a slower service.
The restaurant is always busy with a good ambience, so there is no need for patrons to be subjected to muzak. The table cloths are always clean, and the toilets well maintained. You can glimpse into the kitchen which is always a good sign. What's not to like?

We visited Pomodoro to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised! We all loved the food and customer services were very good too! Looking forward to sampling another scrumptious menu on our next visit! Thank you!

Four of us ate at Sunday lunch which was very busy - glad we booked. My taglitelli with king prawns in a cream, wine and tomato sauce was top notch with plenty of juicy king prawns. My partner had penne with beef and our friends had the veal (a good slimming choice) and spaghetti carbonara - again all good quality. The sicilian wine was also excellent and first class service.
