This is a very good large Italian restaurant , even when busy service, food and welcome great. ideal place not just for families/groups bur for couples as well.

We came for a birthday lunch, 9 of us and a guide dog. Food was lovely as always, and the service was excellent. Attentive and a birthday card was a nice touch.

All eight of us had a thoroughly good meal - impressive Italian cuisine and a good wine list.There is a wide choice of starters and the hot dishes were served piping hot. The service was attentive and not obtrusive. It is a large restaurant and obviously popular - no wonder. But the noise level made chatting difficult. It was a very good value meal.

We went on a packed Saturday night and am very glad we were not put off. Despite being a table of 18 in a very large busy restaurant the food and service was excellent, great portions, delicious and reasonably priced.

What an amazing restaurant, we went to an end of year party where the restaurant was full, they served a 3 course meal which was all fabulous, tastes amazing even with so many people to serve it was perfection. The staff treated us as they would if it was empty, very friendly, happy, calm and a perfect service. Can't even think of a negative...not even a small one...
Definitely would recommend to anyone, at the end of the night it was lovely to see the owner looking after his staff with well earned pizza and drinks, it goes to show well looked after staff, is well looked after customers. Thank you pomodora

4 adults plus 1 baby.....we went for a Birthday meal. This was at a very busy time on a Saturday night.....we still didn't have to wait too long for our food! It was delicious and the portions are extremely generous! There's plenty of room in the restaurant, everything is clean. The food is reasonably priced.....I really don't have a bad word to say about the place. I had the "The child's pizza " and that was a good size. I will definitely be going back and 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. If you visit from out of Eastbourne and looking for a lovely place to eat........well here it is. Thank you to Everyone that works there.

Visited with a friend for the dinner menu with an offer they had I think it was 3 courses for £15 or something, staff were a bit to in your face & was crammed in with other diner but lovely food none the less.

We live close to the restaurant and it is one of our favourite eating destinations. The place has a lively ambience, the food and wine are good and the value of the set meal is excellent. Although a big space, it is almost always full with the busy, cheerful staff doing a remarkable job of keeping pace with the customers' demands. It is a place that leaves you feeling happy and you really can't wish for more than that.

We are here with a group of friends! The food was fabulous I had pizza, my husband had Calzone and our friends all had pasta. The portions were good and the food was really tasty.

This noisier, more family orientated restaurant adjoins the more up-market La Locanda. Here one finds the buzz of the Italian trattoria. It is a clever operation, catering for students (special rates), pre-theatre goers, families and groups, as well those needing a good quick meal at lunchtime of dinner. Cooking is very good - the pizza ovens are open to view - and the menu extensive. Set menus cover many concerns and the a la carte caters for all tastes; there are regular 'specials'; the pizzas and pastas are generous in size and are popular; there are many regular customers which speaks volumes; it all comes at realistic and affordable prices. A very good, well priced wine list. Very good speciality breads. Booking advisable. It knocks spots of its competitors. Go there!
