We visited on a busy Saturday night and the food was very good. The pizzas were lovely and traditionally baked and had a good view of them cooking in the kitchen. The service was a little slow and three was a big wait between courses, it may be better to have a few less tables as it was rather crammed in. Food was good value and would recommend.

I have eaten at this restaurant with friends and family over decades and have never been disappointed.
The food is delicious, beautifully presented and served with great attention to detail. The staff are delightful and make every effort to ensure that you are enjoying your meal. I am a coeliac and find the gluten free wood fired pizzas absolutely delicious. There is always a wide range of dishes for me to chose from and I never feel left out.
The atmosphere is lively and I always feel that I've had a good time. Prices are very reasonable, especially the set menu, and I
will be heading there again very soon.

I went for lunch with 2 lovely ladies, shared the antipasti starters, they had pasta and gluten free pizza, I had the vitello ai funghi, a bottle of Prosecco, then desserts and proper Italian coffee..
Everything was very enjoyable, reasonably priced, excellent food, very friendly personnel.I shall go back very soon.

We were looking for an early evening meal before attending the theatre and enjoyed great value food and friendly service. We choose to eat from the £10 for 2 courses menu and we were delighted with the choice. In fact the pizzas proved too big to finish!
I'd say this is an excellent choice for early supper before the theatre and we will definitely eat here again.

At 2 courses for £10.80, and 3 for £12.80, I really didn't expect too much.How wrong I was!
The service was rapid and polite and the food was gorgeous! I chose bruschetta, which was full of flavour and I certainly couldn't have eaten more for a starter. Carbonara also very good - huge playful. Husband's Apollo Milanese of chicken and spaghetti similarly enjoyable.

I have paid considerably more for, and enjoyed less, more expensive restaurants. It was great that the owner spoke with all his clients. A lovely, old fashioned approach that will continue to entice visitors back. This was a real gem of a find, and we will certainly be going back. Well done and thank you!

Ive been eating in Pomodoro since they opened many years ago and it never fails on simple, authentic, home cooked Italian food. The thin crust pizzas are amazing and the pasta dishes so simple but so tasty. The service has also remained fantastic over all the years. Ill be back again and again...

Went here last Saturday with my misses and we really had a great time,never tried this place before so went here after reading all the glorious reviews on tripadvisor,really love this place,atmosphere was buzzing and food was very tasty,service was little slow but they were really busy so that's not a problem,ovarall it was a great nighg and we will definitely return soon.

My friends and I went here on a Saturday night. We went in quite late and managed to snag a table despite the place being very busy. The food was incredible, the waiters very friendly and helpful. The price was really good also, I had the Spaghetti del Chef, it was so yummy and only paid 9.50 pounds for it, it was quite substantial and very filling. My friends both had pizzas which tasted so good also. Would definitely recommend.

I used to come here a lot when I worked in Eastbourne but I haven't been in a good few years. Was apprehensive as I wasn't sure if it would still be as good but it was as nice as I remembered. Fantastic food, attentive staff and a great atmosphere. I won't leave it so long again before I visit!

We had booked a table for a Friday night get-together. As expected the restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were properly welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant is a fair size for a place the size of Eastbourne and felt bright and cheerful to me. Waiting staff were attentive (but not overly so) and helpful. The food was good, nicely presented and in good portions. As far as I could tell, all in our party were satisfied with the food. However, if on a budget note that the menu indicated that the cheaper set meal is not available on Friday or Saturday evening.

This is obviously a very popular italian restaurant, but we just managed to get a table for two without booking. The staff were very friendly and super efficient. Portions sizes tend to be large and good value for money. We would suggest sharing a dessert although we did finish all three courses.

We went here last Thursday evening for our Anniversary meal before going to the theatre and I have to say the food was exceptional and staff very friendly and efficient and service very quick as we had to be at the show by 7.30pm . We can recommend the sea bass and the carbonara as we're both excellent! Will be coming back when we have more time to have a more leisurely meal!

Went to this restaurant for a Sunday family meal. We went close to noon but we hadn't booked. We were surprised to find it almost empty so got a table straightaway. The staff were attentive and friendly and gave us sufficient time to peruse the extensive menu. Two of us ordered from the set two course menu and two picked from the general menu. The food was delicious, my spaghetti carbonara was so tasty and my wife said she could just have eaten the tomato and herb sauce on its own, it was so tasty. By the time we were ready for our second course the restaurant was very busy so we were glad we had gone early.

We visited on a Saturday evening before seeing a show at a nearby theatre. On arrival it was extremely busy with a variety of clientele. Lots of family's, mixed with couples and large groups of people. I was worried we would have to wait for a while and only ordered a main dish as we didn't want to miss the start of the show. I'm so disappointed we did that!! Our meals were lovely. I had monk fish which was delicious. My partner had pizza which looked amazing! And the food arrived really promptly so we could have ordered more! The staff were all very attentive and friendly. Will definitely return in the future to try out the rest of the menu.
