Visited on a Tuesday evening, and it was already very busy, but service was fast and efficient. There was a large menu, with a great value 2 course special menu for £10.80! Pizzas were excellent, all in all very impressed, you can see why it's popular. Although it was very busy, the bill came straight away when I asked for it, which is great, I hate hanging around waiting to leave while waiting for the bill.

Have visited Pomodoro and La Lucanda on several occasions food is always good, always busy. the only negative I can say is they are always busy and sometimes they don't listen fully to your requests. Great authentic taste of Italy and the Tiramisu and Limoncello is always nice.

We had a recommendation for this restaurant from a lady who has a very successful pub/restaurant near Battle.
When we arrived at 6.45 it was already very busy. We were seated quickly and our coats taken by a friendly manager/owner? We decided to try the dearer of the set menus, £20.99 for 3 courses, less for 2 courses. We chose sardines and baked aubergines for starters, both generous and delicious, followed by veal in a tomato sauce with black olives and capers, and accompanied by vegetables, again really good. Although we felt full we did have a dessert, an apple strudel and a tiramisu. Lovely.Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying the occasion and the waiting staff were very friendly and efficient and cheerful.
With so many people, we did wonder how they remembered which coats belonged to whom. Simple! Every table has a number and a corresponding peg.A very pleasant evening!

Can't fault this place. Went for the £10.50 2-course set menu - excellent value. Huge plateful of delicious garlic mushrooms, followed by a lovely big, freshly made, thin crispy base pizza. Service is very friendly and efficient.

Went with 3 adults and 3 children ages 13 - 6 and it was great. Wide choice on the menu, very clean, tasty food and very very nice staff. Thoroughly recommended. I doubt you could find a nicer place in Eastbourne for a good family night out. Oh and good prices too.

We wanted something simple and good value. This was exactly what we got. The restaurant is large and very busy and we expected a long wait but the service was fast and efficient. The food was as expected - pizza & pasta. The house wine was £14.50 and drinkable. Overall if you want a buzzy atmosphere with good value simple food then this is the place to go.

I went here after going to the theatre using my tickets for the 10% off. I had chicken & mozarella and my friends had pizza with bruschetta to start. Food is pretty good and service is swift. The servers in this Pomodoros are all verymozarella and I come here a lot. Its great value for money.

We had a very nice family lunch at this restaurant. We use this place often as the food is always very good and the service is excellent. If you find yourself on a trip to Eastbourne looking for a place to eat then this is a very good bet. Try the profiteroles for afters they are fab!!!

Went here in December last year with workfriends for the Christmas Party. The food on the Christmas menu looked excellent (I went for the pizza), while the options for the courses was of great value. The pizza I had was brilliant, while their wine selection looked like an A-Z of the wines Italy has to offer.
Only snag is that the acoustics in the room downstairs where we had the party, were bad to a point each of us had to shout sometimes to get a conversation across, but that aside, I will definetly come again and bring my friend who lives in the flat upstairs with me! :)

Pomodoro e Mozzarella never let us down. Delicious food, great atmosphere. A special thank you to Rui for looking after our table and for helping me with organising a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Everything went according to a plan and everyone had a great time.

Often eat here. Wonderful gluten free pasta and pizza and range of desserts although usually too full for a pud. Happy friendly staff, good food au reasonable prices. Very popular, it pays to book but you can usually get an early table.

To be honest we were struggling to find a place that wasn't booked out and I was slowly making my way down the recommended Restuarants. Really glad I spotted this.
The Restuarant is down to earth with lovely food and good service. They have a good kids menu and my lamb was beautiful. My husbands pizza did not last long.
Would recommend this as a solid option for Italian dinner.
Please book so that you're not disappointed as Lisa and Tony our B&B hosts weren't so lucky.

We went on a family vacation to England in August, 2015 and during our visit we went to Eastbourne to see the Airshow. We were traveling with young children and one with strong food preferences, and whilst we mostly cooked for ourselves we knew that if we went out we would need to find a place that served something he liked, as enjoying an evening walk around Eastbourne on a Friday evening, when we spotted Pomodoro E Mozzarella we knew that we couldn't go wrong with an Italian restaurant,...and once you walk through doors, you truly are in Italy. Delightful Pasta dishes, an Italian waiter, understanding of children needs, excellent service, clean, classy. A pleasure. If we are ever in Eastbourne again we will go back.

This is the top choice for a visit to grandparents as it is great for all ages from 88 to 8. The food covers all the Italian bases from pasta and pizza to meat and fish dishes. Service is prompt and swift and children are always welcomed and never seen as a burden. The food is well priced and as a result the restaurant can get busy and noisy at times. Wonderful pizza bread with tomato and garlic. Great coffee
