Wonderful show, spoilt though by several groups of noisy, disrespectful people.

A great medium sized theatre, the team that operates the Hippodrome are kind and welcoming. We have recently been entertained by, guitar heroes and Tom Fitzpatrick, fabulous shows, and affordable, please help and support this gem in Eastbourne.

We have just been to see secret Santa the frost files in Eastbourne..what a fab show my kids really enjoyed it ..especially the second half as we were near the front (I don't want to give the surprise away) I would highly recommend people with little ones go .. there is also the great jokes in there for the grown ups. Songs, dancing , elves, a love story , a Christmas crime and of course the big man himself father Christmas.. what more could you want from a Christmas show... brilliant. x

We came to the theatre as we wasn’t sure on what we wanted to do and we watched a pantomime which was entertaining.

First time I've ever been to the Hippodrome in Eastbourne and the place is fantastic. So nice to come here and support not only the wrestling but the Hippodrome itself. This theatre deserves to do well. Very good prices on confectionery unlike other theatre's I've been to. The staff are the best, so polite and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for them. And I must say very well staffed to. If your visiting Eastbourne please go to The Royal Hippodrome your really enjoy yourself.

Just sitting in the interval of ‘thats Entertainment ‘ It’s fantastic! The performers are all so brilliant and the theatre staff are the best! They’re all so friendly and helpful. If you’re planning a trip to Eastbourne make sure you visit this wonderful show and the lovely people in the theatre! You’ll regret it if you don’t!

The theatre is very quaint and the many volunteers friendly with the coat of refreshments not astronomical like in most theatres.
The seating is very traditional and perfectly comfortable. I thought the decor looked lovely, newly refurbished and very attractive.
My only negative was the show! That's Entertainment wasn't that entertaining. Obviously targetee at the more mature audience (I was easily the youngest audience member and I'm in my 40's!) And the humour was obviously old fahion e and embarassing. The adult performers were all strong singers and dancers and gave it their all despite such a small audience. The children, you couldn't hear them and their performance was less than average. The show definitely picked up after the interval (when the children left!) I loved the theatre but would recommend a different performance to watch.

The Theatre is tucked away at the back of the town. It is a lovely little theatre.
We saw the show "That's Entertainment" and it was brilliant. The cast danced to old musical numbers from the 50s and 60s. The young compere who was a cross between Bruce Forsyth and Larry Grayson was brilliant and great at interaction with the audience. During the show there were two games with audience participation.
This theatre is run solely by volunteers and they receive no grants, etc and it was lovely to support them by watching this show.

A lovely old fashioned theatre. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere but strewth, the seats. I'm not tall and I couldn't sit straight. We saw Danny Baker who is brilliant but famous for 3 hour + gigs. I wouldn't want to be 6' in these seats for that long.

Went to The Greatest Show today with the kids. We knew there were changes to the show and it was a mix of musical songs. We really enjoyed it. Full of warmth and fun and some genuinely beautiful performances of songs. The kids loved the children performing & loved hearing their fave songs from films such as Moana & Frozen. The dancing was a bit cheesy but they gave it plenty of welly and we were all on our feet at the end!

We loved The Greatest Show today, my children really enjoyed it and we found it unpretentious, fun and high energy. There were some actually very good professional singers, even if some seemed less professional standard. We considered getting a refund and were glad we didn’t.

Took friends to this sing and dance show at this restored theatre.
It still has a slight whiff of the early times it represents so is a bit of a time capsule. That said we all came out of the show having enjoyed the experience very much.

I love this theatre, the decor inside it's old and traditional, but not dirty old, beautiful old. This is like a trip down memory lane. The stage is so close you feel involved. I've seen local productions and big stars here like Miranda who I went on to see at o2 and didn't enjoy as much.
Parking isn't great so maybe get a taxi and enjoy a little drink.

Did not know what to expect . Wow what a great theatre 133 years old.
Great seats 3 row from front. Show production by locals and young kids chorus. Show as good as any west end. The compère was brill had us all laughing with his seaside jokes.
Concession tickets £15 each
Bargain . Brill all round show. Jokes bit cheeky for kids,
