Oh to dream!!
Even our 2 1/2 grandson was overawed when the bridge was raised to let a huge 57' yacht out and 1 out of 4 actually managed to say hello back to him

We used to live in Eastbourne, so on a recent visit we walked along the prom from the pier (a walk that is highly recommended – and easy). But on arriving at the Marina it was a ghost town. We walked right to the centre but it was dead everywhere. If Eastbourne had tumbleweed, then it would have been rolling through the Marina. All of the houses seemed empty (presumably holiday homes) and it was just so depressing, because we know from previous visits that in summer it is a fun place to be. So the lesson is to go there when the weather is warm and the sun is up, but don't bother in February. Since we know that Eastbourne developed the Marina as an all-year-round destination, it's sad that it's turned out like this.

Just come and look at the boats or walk around the many paths around the marina. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great to while away a few hours. Lots of free parking.

Right next door to the Crumbles, Sovereign harbour is continually growing and changing. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants along with a couple of independent gift shops. It's great watching the boats being checked and then the big crane winching them into the harbour.

Stopped off at the marina in Eastbourne - Sovereign Harbour, quiet place, nice walk around the area, lots of little shops and places to eat, worth a visit if passing the area, make time for lunch plenty of options

This is a perfect place to stroll around or just sitting down in one of the restaurants having lunch or breakfast, watching all the boats in the marina.
I like to go here after I have been to TK Maxx

An assortment of eating establishments some on first floor.
Can amble around the harbour for a round trip including the locks providing access and egress. Fascinating array of boats.
In summer a trip can be taken on small launch around inner harbour areas with commentary.Reasonable cost.
Also, trips can be had out of the harbour into and along English Channel but expensive in my view
Car parking is free and there are public toilets.
Particularly lovely spot in sunny weather

Weekend away with the Swan Radcot Cruiser Club and an enjoyable morning spent in the Marina. coffee houses/restaurant's the Harbour Club and so many boats to see was delightful. Only downside was directions to Marina and car parking which could be better.

Sea shore walks; harbour full of boats and fish; excellent restaurants, cafe's and bars; and free parking. If you want a day at the seaside without the amusement arcade style attractions this is the alternative.

The Marina is always nice for a short trip out and a bite to eat. There is access to the beach if you want a longer walk but walking around the Marina itself is very pleasant. There are many boats to look at and you can watch as the locks are opened and shut to let boats in and out. There are a good variety of eateries and coffee shops. You can go for a quick drink, a snack or a full blown meal at any time of day. It is lovely to sit on a bench over looking the water on a sunny day just chilling out. There is a cinema and shops there too so a little retail therapy too.

The harbour is a lovely place to have a wonder around, especially if you are into boats. It is particularly lovely during the summer months, but still has its charms during winter. There are numerous eateries with varied menus where you can have a long lunch and do some people watching. Loads of free parking or there is a good bus service from the town centre.

excellent choice from fish and chip shop, coffee shop, restaurants snd pubs all in a clean well laid out marina.
For a small fee you can take a trip on the boat around the marina or take a walk to the outer wall and Seal watch.

We hadn't been to this marina since it was built and were really impressed. It covers a huge plot with four separate basins that you can nearly walk around the whole of the perimeter. As would be expected the boats are on secure pontoons but close enough to be see. Small shopping and eating area around the main lock area. Lovely walk from town along the prom for lunch and a look at the boats

The harbour is a wonderful friendly buzzy place come rain or shine and all of the restaurants (too many to name) are of excellent quality and represent a great cross section of tastes from around the world and some like The Ganges have spectacular views.

Lovely Marina with just enough to do to make a visit worthwhile. Selection of waterfront restaurants which should meet most tastes and a couple of retail shops selling boutique type lines. Boat trips around Marina available. No admission fee which seems like should given but so often sonehow they are sneaked in! Thai restaurant nice but if you want english or just fish and chips all are available. Quieter out of season but in heght of summer you could find quite crowded by visitors and the yachting fraternity so be prepared to wait for a table etc. There is a modest retail park quite close by fir those who cannot go a day without shopping.
