Had such a fantastic time here, so much for children and adults to do. Will definitely be going back.

Really fantastic for children. Lots of brilliant hands-on discovery activities. The talks weren't brilliant, but the place was still so interesting for adults and children alike that it's still 5* for me. Some steps when you first walk in, but pushchairs fine after that. Nice little tea room and gift shop too.

Excellent for children and adults too. Give yourselves as much time as possible, it is more fun to do things for a second time.

(Translated by Google) This place gives way to experimentation. Young and old alike can touch, handle and learn.
Adults should accompany children to explain the scientific basis of each experiment to them

Ce lieu fait la place belle à l'expérimentation. Petits et grands peuvent toucher, manipuler et apprendre.
Les adultes doivent accompagner les enfants pour leur expliquer le fondement scientifique de chaque expérience

Great place to visit with the kids. So much for them to interact with, they all really loved playing with the water part.

It was amazing, I didn't even know it was there. I took my kids to see the castle but there was a wedding going on & feeling disappointed I thought we'd have a look at the science center. I was amazed. The kids & I loved it. It's so interactive & hands on even for my 3 year old!

Absolutely fantastic for kids, our 4 year old loved it but there will be much more to learn there when he's a bit older. Tonnes of well designed and thought provoking interactive exhibits. Speaking as a primary school teacher, this is genuinely one of the best educational places I've visited and in many respects better than the Science Museum in London. Good balance between indoors and outdoors too. The whole place is small and self contained, perfect for a day with showers forecast as you can just pop in and out as you please. Cannot recommend it highly enough, we will definitely be returning!

Lots of solid science experiments for kids to try. Not sure how they survive hundreds of little hands bashing and pulling at the levers and pulling strings, but almost all the exhibits were working great. Lots of outdoor space. Bring a picnic or the cafe is reasonably priced compared to the natural history museum etc. Free parking. Friendly staff.

A fantastic place to take children, plenty of fun hands-on experiments to keep everyone busy both indoors and out. The staff are friendly and helpful. The main domes of the observatory have a wealth of knowledge about the history of the site as well as its ongoing importance to astronomy. The cafe has a simple selection, or you can bring a picnic to enjoy in the marquee to the rear of the site.

Really enjoyed our day here, it was pouring with rain and was a good day out in spite of it. Lots of interactive things to do. Some a bit dated. Overall I would still recommend it.
