Beautiful place, plenty for kids and science literate, fun loving adults too! Very well worth a visit, but keep an eye on your toddlers, there's an open sided pond, full of fish to watch.

Fantastic day out at this interactive science centre. Lots of talks given by very enthusiastic staff and lots of hands-on experiments for the children to do. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A good experience overall. Lots to do outside and inside and will occupy 1-2 hours at least. Parking coukd be improved and annoying to have to queue behind tailback for the castle when access to the science centre could be opened up farther down the access road but that's a minor aside.

The science of family fun...
Great quirky place, kids will be happy here for ages, from smaller ones mine were obsessed with the large water based features / toys. Great talks and good café.

I was a little dissappointed by the Science Centre. Lots of hands on exhibits covering all aspects of science but I didn't find them very well explained. I have a reasonable knowledge of basic science but had trouble explaining a lot to the child I was with. There were signs on each exhibit but I had to read a lot to understand it myself before I could explain it to the youngster.

So much more to do for the kids than i expected, and all the hands on exhibits worked, unlike lots of similar places. Reasonably priced too.

For children, this place is actually better than the Science Museum in London, with a wealth of hands-on activities for all ages. Fun and educational.

Suitable for children of all ages, it's also great fun for the grown-ups.
