Seemed like a really nice place. Though only 1 viewing when I visited was open, which was kinda disappointing.

May be best waiting for a few more weeks until paying a visit

Nice gallery space. The current John Nash exhibition seemed quite popular. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Eastbourne. Cafe, shop and toilets on site.

A lovely large space but there didn't seem to be much art to look at. Some if the Ravilious work was in drawers that had to be opened one by one by a member of staff when there was plenty of room to display it. The shop was also a little lacking.

Perfect place to take your children or visit yourself. Lots of exhibitions to explore for hours and if you need a break, there's also nice cafe upstairs. Some of exhibitions are free but some need tickets.

The Towner gallery is well worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne. A lovely modern space for art, and mostly free of charge. You will be asked to pay for special exhibitions, the sole purpose of my visit was to see the Alan Davies / David Hockney early works exhibition which on until 31 May 2020. It was a beautifully curated exhibition and if you are a fan of either or both of the artists or if you enjoy and appreciate abstract expressionism then you won't be disappointed. If you need sustenance there is a reasonably priced cafe. The gallery is on several floors with lots of stairs but there is a lift and easy wheelchair access to all the exhibition space and facilities. I can't comment on the permanent collection as I only had time to do the Davie/Hockney.
