It was a really nice and modern art gallery. Definitely exceeded my expectations. A separate kudos for the experience of riding the grand lift! I've never saw one this huge!

Great little gallery with a study space, gallery spaces, and cafe. Carefully designed to take in the view of its surroundings and add a punch of colour ( if the retain the amazing commissioned wall mural).. Great cafe with balcony too.

First time visit for me despite having lived locally for years.

Really impressed by the Covid precautions taken by the gallery. Felt safer here than any other venue (be it pub or restaurant etc) that I've visited recently.

My art knowledge is very limited but I very much enjoyed my visit. My girlfriend who is much more knowledgeable really enjoyed the experience.

For me the Hassan Palestine/Israel border crossing installation (I hope I got that right) was the highlight and very moving.

While we didn't pay to see the David Hockney collection, the free galleries are more than enough and I will be revisiting soon to get the whole experience.

The Towner Art Gallery hosts a number of fantastic art exhibitions, the most recent exhibition which I visited was put together by a local politician who was head of the green party. She chose out of there 5000 paintings and sculptures the best ones which represent climate change. She captured it perfectly with the pictures she chose. She put together pictures that represented what we as a race are doing to our planet. The Towner Art Gallery also has a lovely cafe which serves a range of coffees, teas and assorted cold refreshments. The cafe also offers sweet treats like cake and millionaire shortbread. The Towner also has more than exceptional lavatories and a lovely gift shop, perfect for souvenirs. All in all I love the Towner Art Gallery and would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
