A jewel in the crown of art galleries in the South East, The Towner always has something to delight and challenge the senses and your perceptions. Split over 3 floors with a variety of sized spaces, with a new cinema and the soon to be unveiled new Ravilious gallery, the Towner always makes for a wonderful visit. And it's FREE!

Not really an art gallery appreciator, but this place was nice to visit, cafe at the top was very nice (our reason for visiting) but we had a walk around the gallery and definitely appreciated the sensory room with the massage chairs!

Always a pleasure coming here and it's free.
A different array of artwork every visit, mostly I like, and could imagine hung on our walls at home.
It's very interesting how the word "Art" is interpreted though . Today, a most odd array of different objects hanging off a bar construction, including a lot of black feathers. It obviously means something to the artiste but I came away quite baffled 😳.
The coffee shop is a must visit. We arrived at about 2.00 and had a late lunch, tasty selection of lite bites. We both had coffee and had avocado on soda bread with a a perfect poached egg on top drizzled with virgin oil, with a hint of chilli, yummy!!
On a warm day a table outside on the balcony is great, views of the tennis courts and beyond.
We always browse the well stocked gift shop as we leave. Plenty of interesting books and gift ideas for grandchildren. Quite often I buy a card or two.
