Came here for an evening meal with work colleagues. One of my work colleagues was visiting from Pune India. We all enjoyed sharing a thali and a few dosas together.. I thought the food was excellent and my Indian friend thought was very nice also.. Good choice of different foods some of which he needed to explain to me what they were as there were things on the menu that were not familiar items in my usual Indian restaurant.. we ordered some Indian beers with the meal.. really enjoyed it.. I would like to go again..

On visit to Eastbourne for short holiday, we had a lunch which was best price and food were fresh. The "lunch thali" came with various dishes. All the dishes were so authentic and portion were enough. The restaurant was with different vibes compared to regular, cosy and classic restaurants . The staff was very friendly and helpful. If again happen to visit Eastbourne, we will not miss this place.

My husband and I had lunch at tuk tuk today for the first time. My husband & I both had the tandoori platter which consisted of chicken tikka chicken kebab & lamb kebab. The chicken tikka was cooked to perfection & the kebabs were delicious. It came with mint yoghurt, salad, naan bread and curry sauce and was very well presented. I had a side order of lamb samosas - the 3 samosas were spiced so well and were tasty & delicious! My husband had chicken chilli stir fry which was spiced very well too and very tasty.it was definitely the best Indian food that we have had and we have tried most of the Indian restaurants in Eastbourne & the surrounding areas. The gentleman who served us was very friendly polite and professional.
If you want fantastic food & great service then you must go to tuk tuk in Eastbourne - I can assure you that you won't be disappointed!

The food was absolutely great with unusual but very special flavours. Great presentation and atmosphere. Seemed to be genuinely family and couples friendly. Good value for money.

My wife and I visited Tuk-Tuk in Eastbourne for the first time last night and were very impressed. We hadn't booked and were lucky To get a table. However, all staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fabulous! There were x14 dishes my wife could choose from that were gluten free. This is amazing, as usually there are only a couple of choices in restaurants. We shared six dishes between us and each one was truly delicious. Yes, it's a lively place, so not somewhere for romance, but for amazing Indian food and a great Saturday night vibe, it really is worth a visit. We shall return!!!

We visited Tuk Tuk for one of the best lunches we have ever had.
The restaurant is a brilliant new idea and the whole experience was frankly wonderful. We had a warm welcome and loved the informal decor. Although we had no children in our party, it is obvious that Tuk Tuk is particularly family friendly.
We had varied items from the menu from seafood and meat thali and tikka to calamari, spiced king prawns and dosa - all absolutely superb. We all liked the variety and the way it was all presented.
Thoroughly recommended. A wonderful lunch experience and a big thank you to the Tuk Tuk team!

Went here as part of a group of 20. Staff were very well organised as everyone arrived at different times. Management dealt very well with a very demanding customer. Choice of food was good, portions right size and very delicious. Authentic feel.

Light, tasty and exciting food. A one off worth trying imo. Try the sharing plates to spark your tastebuds and then order more of what you like. This is a great way to try new dishes.

This is a new restaurant in our ever growing town.
We visited for the first time during Airbourne and they were relatively busy, yet still prompt and attentive.
The food was served in a tapas style, on metal dishes.
Although the food and quality was very good, I found that 5 out 7 dishes ordered where very spicy despite them not reading as hot dishes.

I'm not a fan of fish so I'm always a little bored of seaside food places so I was sooo pleased when we stumbled across Tuk Tuk. The food is served in a tapas style so do order more than one thing! We ordered: the tikka platter, korma (spicier than the norm, I personally liked it better) chicken wings, mutton curry. Everything was pipping hot and absolutely delicious! The main waitor was very attentive, very knowledgeable about all the dishes. I love this place I wish we had one in my hometown. Come to Oxford!!

Food was okay, service slow. Very expensive for small portions. £15 thali not enough food to fill me up.

Friendly authentic independent eatery which provides a wide ranging mix of really tasty Indian meat, seafood and veggie dishes in a tapas format. We chose 6 dishes between two with a couple of Kingfishers to wash them down for a delicious and interesting lunch. Seafood was really good with the Goan fish cakes and spicy calamari, with a great veggie mix of Bombay street food battered vegs, sag paneer, a dosa and a Dahl for something more saucy, all served with a smile. Really nice ambience - don't be put off if like today it is very quiet.

When you walk the streets of Eastbourne, specially close to the beach, you will smell mainly fish and chips and pizza places. Tuk Tuk is a surprising exception. Here you will find street food from Bombay. Very nice deep fried pakora's and samosa's, curries, everything in small quantities. It is set up as a sort of tapas restaurant. Food was maybe not great but certainly good, service was pleasant, the restaurant is set up as a kind of modern snackbar. Not expensive at all. Go there!

On entering the restaurant it is nothing grand to look at basic table and chairs. But it is a friendly atmosphere and matching staff one of us was late but they was understanding and did not rush us we had a drink and looked at the menu as we waited. He finally turned up and our order was taken we didn't have to wait long for the food to be put on the table we had a mixture from the menu and all had a little bit of each there was plentiful and each dish had a different taste and very tasty. We all said that we could not find a thought with it. And not to forget the drinks all cold and a good choice

Went here around 5.30 on Sunday ,liked the look of the menu as it had some nice sounding dishes . It advertises it self as Indian Street food which I'm afraid it does not come close to compared to what I've had in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
The restaurant is clean and the service and staff was friendly. The food its self whilst not bad was very bland and over priced. Best value was the red wine at £14.95 a bottle. I had the seafood tharli at £13.95 and found it very disappointing. I think the best the best way to describe the place would be a sort of Indian meets Mac Donald's.
I say again not bad just disappointing.

Came across this place by chance when visiting the Airshow and needing some lunch. Had a vegetarian Thali which was brilliant, really tasty and authentic. So pleased to find this place, but wish there were other branches near where I live! I would visit regularly! Recommended highly. Loved it.

We ate here on a Saturday evening at around 7pm. The place was quite busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. We love South Indian food and have had Thali before so we ordered a Meat Thali and a Seafood one. I was surprised that neither Thali came with a vegetable side dish. The seafood Thali had 3 seafood sides of calamari, fishcake and prawns but only 1 curry. The meat had one samosa side and 3 curries. It was good that we could share the 2 as otherwise both Thalis lacked balance. The food was tasty but the curries needed vegetables to soak up the rich sauces. I have also had better value food in central London in terms of portions offered. Service could have been better. It took 15 mins for the waiter to come back for our order once we had ordered drinks. This may be to get people to drink more. My husband had finished his beer before we ordered food. All beer only comes in 300ml cans, unusual for an Indian restaurant. Once we had received the bill, it took ages for the waiter to come back for the payment. Why not take the payment straight away? I was looking forward to eating here as the concept of serving street food was interesting.I hope they review their menu and improve their service. Providing large bottles of beer or draft beer would also improve the dining experience.

Really tasty Indian Street food served by cheerful staff in buzzy cafe-style surroundings. We had tandoori mix of chicken and lamb koftas, a delicious chana puri and mixed lentils with nan. Only disappointment was the keralan fish cakes which were bland, not enough fish or spicing.

High on Trip Advisor ratings is this gem. If you love Indian and tapas format it's great. We had six small dishes and great tastes. Two were small curries and the others samosas and pieces. Makes a change from big dishes.
