An absolutely fantastic place to eat! The food is tasty and authentic, and the restaurant itself is creatively decorated - will definitely be visiting again!

Tasty dishes, plenty of space, attentive staff.

Been here a good dozen times and can't think of having a bad experience.

Recommended.

(Translated by Google) We were well attended and the employee advised the dishes most suited to our tastes. The detail of the tablecloth keeps us entertained until the food arrives, that's a good thing. But it was not the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in Eastbourne.

Tried for first time yesterday, great atmosphere, loved the music in the background! Service was great, was looked after right away. They had a solid variety of indian style snacks to choose from. We tried gol gappa, 3 way chicken, channa masala, and chicken egg roll with mango lassi. We thought it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wish I could've ordered more but I just had a footlong hot dog outside. But in all, excellent food, service, and atmosphere!

Absolutely delicious food - very athentic tastes! Brilliant choices for veggies, although I felt the small portions were a little over priced - but I guess it’s expected in a coastal town by the sea front.

Having just returned from Southern India we were longing for some traditional south Indian food, but it is very hard to find near us. We were transported back to India! We had the Bhel Puri and Golgappa, followed by 2 dosas. Wow - very authentic tastes, absolutely delicious. The Golgappa was superb. We even got to drink Thums Up! I remember eating snacks like this all over the south of India when we first went to India 30 years ago and we have loved them ever since then. We used to eat them for lunch on the beach in Goa. These are snacks - ideal for a quick lunch or quick dinner - you can fill up by ordering 2 or 3 plates. The ambience is great - yes it is a cafe, but it is like many in Bangalore and Mysore. The staff were delightful too. You can't compare it to a normal Indian restaurant - it is different food (and in my view, much tastier). We will be back! In fact, I am going to have to find excuses to come into Eastbourne...........

Dropped in on a whim. Glad I did, great food at a great price. Nothing pretentious, meal and a few glasses of red, less than £20.00.

I was really pleased to find Tuk Tuk during our stay in Eastbourne. I have been visiting Eastbourne for a few years now and it's a very welcome addition to the parade of cafes and restaurants near the seafront. We both enjoyed the food which was very fresh and authentic and the service was efficient and friendly. You should definitely try the mango lassi which is delicious! We hope to visit again soon.

Never been here before, nor experienced a restaurant like this. The basic interior is entirely in keeping with the street food, somehow a plush interior would not seem the part,
The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is casual.Service was quick and very good. Menu choice is extensive, with much variety including vegetarian and vegan choices, and there was much that was very new to me, the origins of the dishes were described too which makes the food that bit more interesting. The portions are the size that you would expect from street food and you are advised to order two or three things from the menu.As to that food well, its truly excellent and some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The menu is inexpensive does have a small selection of Indian desserts, not those boring standardised ones that so many Indian restaurants dish out that can be brought anywhere and I would like to see this part of the menu extended but that's not essential and hey ho if it isn't I don't care as I'll go back any day.
In summary this is a restaurant that is truly different and is a must try

Stopped here to grab some lunch and were treated to delicious food with a good variety. We had 3 dishes each and were stuffed. The dosa, railway platter and paneer sticks were particularly good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cheerful.

Walked past this place in the afternoon and it was full. Walked back past it in the evening and still full. We went in and were greated straight away. Staff very polite and freindly. Great vibe going on with the music and posters of different films on the wall. Food was reasonably priced and tasted amazing... fresh and fragrant. Couldnt fault it. Would definately recommend and hope we have the opprtunity to visit again.

We love this restaurant and are always amazed that more people do not seem to have discovered it.
The food is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared and very authentic. This is no run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant but one which shows flair and imagination in its choice of dishes. The menu suggests, like Spanish tapas, trying about 3 dishes per person but we find 2 each or even 3 between both of us more than enough especially at lunch-time. We particularly like the masala dosas and the Indian railway snack food recently added to the menu.
Do give it a go. I'm sure, like us, you will be back for more!

Quirky little place. Proper Indian street food, reminded us of our India trip. Beer only comes in small bottles. Recommend the Dosa, Chana Puree, Golpoppas and especially the Dal Fry. Pleasant service.

We have visited Eastbourne a few times and seen this restaurant but had yet to eat there. This visit, we thought we would try it and we are glad we did. A really great selection of food served in the taps style so I would recommend ordering a variety of different dishes to share to experience the different dishes. The chicken tikka three ways was moist and beautifully cooked. Calamari and prawns just right as well as the other dishes tried. What made the meal all the better was the excellent and friendly service and atmosphere. Good value for money. Whether you are eating alone, as a couple or in a group, this restaurant should be a first choice for authentic Indian food.
