On a gloomy evening we just needed a quick dinner, there are lots of others close by and this was nearly hidden behind some building works but the neon sign looked welcoming. We tried several tapas style dishes and enjoyed this different kind of Indian food. Nice welcome, decor and tasty food. Will be happy to go back if I am visiting Eastbourne again.

Since the last time we were here they have had a refurbishment. The place looks good now. Really comfortable seats and cutlery as well. Nicely decorated and clean restaurant.
Service is great, really friendly staff who made us feel most welcome. Nice to have a view of the kitchen so you can see your food being prepared. Be ready for a rumbly tummy, the food smells so good here my tummy rumbled at the aroma of our lunch cooking.
Good selection of drinks available for a smaller sized restaurant. Good selection of dishes on the menu for all as well, even plenty of vegetarian dishes and a lot not spicy so ideal for children too.
The food is amazing! Chicken tikka trio was really delicious, curry was lovely. In fact everything we ate here was perfect, juicy tender meat, perfect sauces, faultless.
If only this restaurant was nearer. It's a 2 hour drive for us. It's so good every time we stay in Eastbourne we have lunch here, even if it's a couple of days on the trot.
It looks unassuming from outside, but if you don't try it you're definitely missing out. I'm looking forward to our next trip to Eastbourne already!

I've had a lot of Indian meals and this was one on the best in the UK. I had the Mumbai street biryani with chicken. Normally biryani comes with vegetable curry, thus didn't but did come with spicy curry sauce and raita. All in all very tasty. Would definitely recommend for an Indian with a twist. Slight warning dishes are quite spicy but not overly so.

I’d passed by a few times but it wasn’t until friends suggested a bite to eat there that I got to experience this great restaurant. I love how it’s decorated and I like the chairs! I found the waiting staff to be friendly and welcoming. But the food... the food was excellent. We had a good selection between the four of us and we swapped and shared everything. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend it and will be going there again.

We decided to look for something to eat to avoid all the junk food at Airborne airshow.
The street food type of cuisine is truly wonderful at this restaurant. The flavours are fresh and deep. The staff are very welcoming. We will be returning regularly.

Really tasty food and friendly service. I was pushed for time as I had a theatre show to get to. I am always thrilled to find a separate vegan menu with more than one dish on it. I will be back next time I’m in the area

We were lucky to find this restaurant on our first evening in Eastbourne. We decided to try the tapas dishes which were all absolutely delicious. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our food was served in small dishes and the staff explained what each one was. We had a great evening and were not only impressed with the food but how welcoming the staff were. Next time we visit Eastbourne we will definitely visit Tuk Tuk again.

Came here and had the chicken wings and the tandoori platter. Was lovely. A shame when eating alone you can’t ask for them to come as starter and main but this was explained when ordering.

I dont have much to say, except...amazing! Remindered me of the same food I ate during my month in India!!
Reasonably priced and the Tahlia is to die for.
If you want a western style chicken tikka, masala or some other weatern curry slop go elsewhere - if you want an authentic Indian meal Tuk Tuk is your place.
Thank you to the manager and all the staff who made our meal a great experience

We went there not expecting it to be as busy as it was. We sat on a small table for 2 where my partner could see the kitchen and was amazed at how clean and how everything was so efficient, It really was Indian food with a difference. I had the Seafood Thali which consisted of several different thing but most exceptional was the calamari ...that was cooked to perfection. The manager was so attentive not just to us but every person who came through the door. I will certainly be going back there but will make sure that i book a table next time....Thank you for a fantastic meal.

We went for a mixture of little dishes, and to be honest I can't remember what they all were! What I do do know is that they tasted great and we had some left at the end we couldn't finish. I have no idea, not having been to India, how close this is to Indian Street Food, but we're rating it as some of the most enjoyable (if not the most enjoyable) Indian food we've ever had. The staff (there appeared to be only four of them, two front of house and two in the kitchen) were great, friendly, as chatty as they could be with that number of covers, they were full, and we were impresed with the way the two front of house staff clearly knew what the other one was doing so while they both served our table there was no doubling up of requests or questions. They were totally killing it :-)

Visited on a whim while in Eastbourne.
Came up on google with great reviews and we were not disappointed..
Lovely bright place, amazingly comfortable chairs and tables, great indian bolly music and a spot-on street food menu.
We ordered samosa chana chaat, bhel puri, golgappas, chilli chicken and a egg roll..
To say that all of it was stunning and absolutely delightful is an understatement. It all took me back home to India and its street food. We had a lovely afternoon lunch.
This is going to be a once a month drive for some great Indian street food.

My friend who is vegan and I came here for lunch. I have the veggie thali and she had an extensive menu to choose from before opting for a spinach dish. The food was delicious. I loved the naan bread, thin, soft and freshly cooked. The portions were just right in terms of size. There was a lot of flavour in the dishes And the variety was good.
The restaurant itself looks nice and the owner delivered great service

First time visit and wasn't dissapointed. Lots of tapas dishes, so you can try several dishes for the price of one meal. Not far off the seafront, nicely decorated and furnished and good friendly service.

I dropped in for an impromptu lunch the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. My wife and I have enjoyed street food in India and found that this was as close as it gets to the real thing. Excellent.

I had a fantastic meal at Tuk Tuk last night!
I love to eat the “street food” style of Indian cuisine as I find it less heavy on my digestive system than a traditional restaurant meal!
The food at Tuk Tuk is really tasty - you can actually taste the different spices!
My friend isn’t overly keen on very spicy curries and we felt the guide on the menu represented the spice level accurately.
There’s a great selection for all tastes (and budgets) and it took us ages to choose as we wanted to try everything! In the end we chose a selection of the smaller street food dishes (very similar to tapas in terms of size and price) and shared everything.
There’s also a specific Vegan Menu and plenty of choices for vegetarians.
We had a few questions about the food and a couple of the drinks on offer and both members of staff were really helpful and answered our questions with great information.
If you’re used to visiting a traditional Indian restaurant then I’d encourage you to give Tuk Tuk a try to experience the “street food” side of Indian cuisine.
The menu is available online so it will give you chance to have a look in advance if you’re not sure how “street food” is different to the dishes at a traditional Indian restaurant.
Oh and try the mango lassi - I wasn’t sure but I’m totally converted after trying it!

Great Indian food and glad we found Tuk Tuk. The place has a hip, contemporary feel with brightly colored tables and chairs, a spice/herb mural on a wall; wood textured wall paper on the other wall. We enjoyed the Swedish raspberry cider, but dinner was the highlight. We had tandoori sausage with a chicken kabab and the chicken thali. Both were delicious.
There was scaffolding on the building around the entrance to Tuk Tuk, but we found our way to their delicious food.
