The membership of the Friends of the Hampden Park voted back last year to encourage me to work towards bringing a Hot Air Balloon event into Hampden Park. Since I first contacted David to help me promote the Eastbourne Hot Air Balloon Festival he has worked tirelessly coming up with ideas, suggestions and practical help. It is now an International Festival with balloons coming from visiting countries; it will be a 2 day event on 29th and 30th July 2017 in Hampden Park. It's aim is to bring an Eastbourne event into the heart of the community, to promote local people and local businesses. We hope to ensure that all participants from entertainment to sales stands are local people and groups thus promoting the best of Eastbourne and what it can offer and keeping the proceeds in Eastbourne.
