The Teen Anxiety Coach, Eastbourne

Following a few traumatic years due to domestic abuse and me and my children having to go into a refuge and then relocate to a new area, I was very worried about my son. He was in year 7 when we had to leave his home and relocate (we had to move 4 times in one year for our safety) and then due to Covid he still hasn’t done a full school year (he’s in year 10 now). He had lost his confidence, suffered extreme anxiety, lived in his bedroom and it was becoming more and more difficult to get him into school. He had stopped doing schoolwork and didn’t do it during lockdown. I was then told about Jason, JPL Hypnotherapy and how he has really helped other children with anxiety etc. Jason was really professional, we had an initial appointment for free where he explained to me and my son how hypnotherapy worked. My son initially didn’t want to go, but after the initial appointment was very keen and said Jason was really nice and not how he expected him to be! After the first proper session (which I sat in for) I noticed a change immediately. My son actually talked to me in the car on the way home! He started getting up for school on time, school mornings / school run were suddenly good. My son had about 7 or 8 sessions in total. I have my son back - a happy confident teenager, who gets up for school, enjoys the lessons, does his homework and is doing well. He talks a lot more and even comes out with me. He even asked to go shopping for new clothes. He seems to have more friends at school and is genuinely happy. Jason doesn’t do counselling, he focuses on the positives and moving forward and that is exactly what he has done for my son. I can’t recommend him enough. The door is always open should we need to go back, though I’m hoping we won’t need to. If you have anxiety, OCD, lack of confidence or anything you want to improve on, try Jason. To me he was worth the money I spent - what price is there on your child’s happiness and success. Josie Skinner
