Very friendly and attentive staff, and in nice weather the pool is an amazingly sheltered haven. Very welcoming of cyclists. If you’re going for an anniversary, be sure to tell them for a special treat.

Best hotel on the island in my opinion. Been here for events, gym and to stay the night I couldn't fault them. Rooms could use a bit of tlc and upgrading but otherwise an incredible spot.

Amazing hotel, such elegant rooms. The staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Love staying here, especially in the summer with the outside pool.

Brilliant afternoon tea served in the lounge. Service was excellent, tea choices good, and sandwiches, scones and cakes all fresh and slightly different from elsewhere, even had an Easter theme for Good Friday. Recommend

We booked this great deal. flight, transfer, hotel, afternoon tea, one night two course dinner. The staff was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The food was lovely and so is the hotel. The hotel is very well situated for all amenities. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

6 days is good for getting round Guernsey, a car is a good idea and costs little more than parking at Poole Port. Excellent curry room in hotel, which is a short walk from the quay and high street.

An exceptional five star hotel with unparalleled service. I had booked into the Duke of Richmond hotel and due to renovation work was relocated here. Rooms are small but well appointed. The food is fantastic. We had dinner one night in the Governor's dinning room. It was an exceptional India meal. It's an expensive spot but definitely memorable.

We stayed here over Christmas and the staff were exceptional!
I’ve stayed at numerous five-star hotels around the world - the Ritz-Carlton’s, the Mandarin Oriental’s, the Park Hyatt’s of this world - and I can say the service was on par with, and in some cases better than, those properties. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. They make you feel like you’re the owner of the hotel.
The hard product is also really good even if the decor isn’t typically what I’d go for. The bed was really comfortable, the room was super quiet (even overlooking the street), and they have really fast wifi if you’re working remotely.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guernsey.

Stayed for 4 nights, food excellent, staff brilliant. We had a lovely room with sea view, immaculately clean, nightly turn down service was an extra treat. Excellent choice at breakfast including GF options, hubby particularly loved the kedgeree, wife the scrambled egg and salmon. Afternoon tea was splendid in the cosy lounge area. All staff were excellent in every department on every occasion. We will be returning. If you plan on using the spa book ahead. The daily service charge was well deserved by all the wonderful staff

A really lovely holiday staying at the OGH. Everything was so well done, attentive courteous staff, delicious food bothe breakfasts and evening meals and such a quirky, interesting building. Congratulations to all involved in running this establishment.

My wife loves a hotel with sumptuous fabrics, deep pile carpets and old world charm, but not in a fuddy duddy-ish way. Sadly, she wasn't with me on this trip as she would have loved this hotel. The hotel is relatively small, beautifully done up and interesting, tucked away in a side street. My room was small but very nice - plush but in a non-overbearing way (with a 1920s vibe) and with a sea view. The bar was small and atmospheric with great cocktails, and the breakfast was excellent (think homemade granola, fresh berries and fruit and nuts and seeds). To top it all off, the staff were professional, efficient and welcoming.

Very much a 5* experience!
