We arrived Friday, we landed an hour early arriving at hotel before check in time, we were able to check in early as room was ready, and my 12 year old daughter had a nap in our very comfortable room, amazing bed with air-conditioning. Cleaned to very high standard.

Check in was swift and warming, were made to feel very welcomed by receptionist (Karen)

We had dinner in Victor Hugo restaurant which we very much enjoyed, the only disappointment was the portions were so big we couldn't finish it and had no room for dessert. Both cocktails we had were perfect, refreshing and delicious..

We had afternoon tea (my first time) and was not disappointed, again couldn't eat all the cakes but was offered to take it away.

My daughter loved the swimming pool, there are children only swim times which didn't effect is and the pool was not crowded. Very clean.

We also used room service which was very swift and still served hot.

Overall our short break was short, but we fit lots in and all the staff, could not be more attentive.

Special thank you to Karen, Arra (both on reception) and Richard (who we seen everywhere) thank you for making us feel special and very welcome.
Sorry but didn't know the housekeeping maides 'name' nothing too much trouble for her. Sara in breakfast is delightful and caring.

It really was a fantastic stay, were already planning our next visit to return and hopefully a bit longer.

Excellent hotel about 30 minutes walk from St Peter's Port ( on a very busy road!) but with a regular bus stop just next to Waitrose (which is opposite and very handy!) which can take you into St Peter's Port within 6-7 minutes or the other side of the island which is Cobo Bay (worth a visit too!). The breakfast was great and our children especially enjoyed the homemade waffles with fruit. The spa facilities were brilliant - a really good sized pool with sauna and hamman and lovely modern gym and weight room. All of this was included in the price of the room. Beware there are certain times for children to use the pool. We had two adjoining rooms as there were no more family rooms available but this worked out great. As a family with youngish children (7 and 10) I would recommend trying to get rooms away from the parking lot as the lights are really bright until quite late at night. The staff in the hotel are absolutely lovely, friendly, smiley and accommodating - nothing was too much! Would definitely stay here again.

My teenage son and I have just returned from a wonderful half term stay at the hotel. The location, facilities and staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

All the staff were exceptional and we were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Personal favourites were the spa and pool facilities and the golf course.

Whilst we only ate in the Terrace bar the food was lovely (albeit limited on choice for a lengthy stay) but it served us well. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a wonderful base to explore the lovely island of Guernsey!

I spent 4 days here with my old Labrador, she is 13 years old, with an active mind but much slower legs!

We were treated like royalty as were all the guests, you could see everyone really made an effort to make you welcome.

The room - fantastic, ground floor, deluxe, floor to ceiling sliding door windows and a lovely terrace with chairs and table. It over looked the lake and gardens, secluded but still near all the facilities, it was simply perfect for my dog, she could stroll straight out of the door and into the gardens within a second. She loved if, especially woofing at the ducks through the window!

The hotel is lovely, good big bar with outdoor terrace over looking the lake and grounds, we ate in here most days, the dog is welcome to join you in the bar area. It’s not over priced at all, very good value when compared to English mainland these days.

We spent our days driving round the island stopping at beaches and having a paddle in the sea, the hotel kindly lent us some wellingtons just for the task! The weather was warm in the high 18’s quite unusual for that time of year.

A great spa facility, super outdoor hot tub that was really warm, nice swimming pool with views out on to the grounds, well appointed gym and modern treatment rooms - couldn’t ask for more.

Really nothing to grumble about, the team went out of their way to give the guest a great experience, so we highly recommend for business, leisure or indeed those all important canine holidays. We are taking home some brilliant memories.

We’ve had a short half term stay at this hotel and everything about it was amazing. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The staff are something else. It’s been a few years since we’ve experienced such wonderful service. They were attentive when needed, super friendly to the children and genuinely seemed happy to be there which is a rarely!

The food in the Victor Hugo restaurant is superb and the staff amazing.

All in all we couldn’t fault the hotel. 5* service and facilities from truly exceptional staff. The best break we’ve ever had. So much so we’ve booked again and can’t wait to go back.

Arrived not far off midnight 23rd October for a 4 night stay only to find travel company had not passed on information! Duty manager very helpful and offered to upgrade us as we had all our paperwork and proof of payment. Lovely room, comfy bed lashings of hot water, breakfast good plenty of choice and evening meal in bar area excellent. Alas did not try out swimming pool or the cocktails.

We found the Hotel excellent - from our arrival and to when we departed the staff could not do enough for us, very polite and extremely friendly. This was from all the staff and Managers who made a point of daily asking if everything was ok, and could they do any more for us. The room [335] was clean and comfortable and the food excellent. We would have no hesitation of staying there again.

First time in Guernsey and what a great place to stay, why did I chose to stay, well the welcome dogs, that sold it for me. My 13.5 year old Labrador has travelled over from England on the ferry for the first time, she is a well known visitor to the handpicked collection on the mainland so we thought it was time to try out the channel island locations.
We have a superb room, well thought out for the dog, it has floor to ceiling windows and a patio door straight out to our own terrace and steps right out to the massive lawns outside and beyond. Well appointed for the human top with the typical handpicked touches to make our stay relaxing.
Service is great from a friendly team, who have offered us plenty of advice on where to go on our travels and even lent us some wellingtons to go paddling in the sea. Nothing is too much trouble.
A very well appointed spa, for humans only, of course dogs can’t visit everywhere, which is a good thing as Poppy Labrador would be swimming in the pool!! For me the outdoor spa pool is a treat.
Food has been excellent, from the usual handpicked breakfast selection to the terrace & victor Hugo fine dining. It’s a busy hotel too lots of functions adds to the atmosphere - really nice to see a bustling hotel.
Thanks team St Pierre for going above and beyond.

This is a lovely hotel and one we look forward to staying in again. Good size rooms and attractive grounds. We had excellent service from the moment we arrived. Gemma on reception gave us the perfect welcome. We were lucky enough to have an upgraded room as it was our 40th Anniversary. There we had a lovely food-decorated plate. We then went for a lovely meal in the Victor Hugo with complimentary prosseco. The food & service was excellent.
Betty in housekeeping was very cheerful & did a great job of making sure everything was clean & tidy.
The staff member in the leisure complex was really helpful.
Arra booked a taxi for us on our departure and chased it up to ensure it was on its way. Her & her colleague helped put our large amount of luggage into the taxi.
Richard, the operations manager checked that all was well with us.
You don't normally get this level of service in a hotel and it will definitely ensure we return and stay at their sister hotels.
Thank you

Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff, good amenities and lovely food. I stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely breakfast each morning, superb pizza and fries and a lovely buffet at the event I attended.

Grounds are very attractive to walk around.

Would like to extend our thanks to Richard and his team for quickly getting a private room and breakfast organised for a party of 35. Sofia and Fernando were also exemplary in their service, very polite, very attentive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will certainly recommend to others.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful in every area of service, they are a real credit to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was bounteous but as I am coeliac I ordered off the menu, which was also included in the price, and the breakfasts I had were delicious and beautifully cooked. Our room, the Guernsey Suite, was spacious with a lovely sitting room and kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The only minor point I would make, which did not detract from our stay, is that the decor was a little tired and in need of updating in style.

A short stay in July and I cannot fault anything.
I was a single traveller and initially was put in a room with a connecting door. Not ideal but the occupants next door and I said hello in the corridor and all was ok. That was until change over and my new 'neighbours' decided to try the door!
I spoke with the Duty Manager (a wonderful man) and was moved immediately. The only room available was a deluxe and I was not charged extra for the reminder of my stay.
Both rooms I had were absolutely fine. Both were more than adequate; hairdryer, iron/board, fridge, tea/coffee, hot chocolate, water still & sparkling, bathroom was huge with wonderful smelling toiletries. Both had view's of the grounds.
The only difference in the rooms were that the deluxe had air conditioning, a coffee machine, dressing gowns and slippers.
House keeping staff were friendly, a morning 'hello' and extremely helpful.
I only had breakfast at the hotel and again the teams were fantastic. As a single traveller they try and sit you near the window so you don't feel your in a goldfish bowl! Very thoughtful. One morning I wanted to take breakfast to go, a wonderful waiter fetched a container so I could 'grab & go'!
Didn't use the pool but did use the gym. It's a little out dated and could do with an overhaul but I could still manage a workout.
I use to live on Guernsey so know of the hotel over many years. Having now stayed there as a guest, would I recommend, definitely

Although a little faded in places this is a most pleasant hotel and the staff were just terrific going out of their way to be helpful. Sitting out on the terrace overlooking the lake in the warm Guernsey sunshine was superb and the bar prices very reasonable.
We used the pool every morning at 7.0am and enjoyed the sauna, steam room and outside hot tub. Lovely towels were provided and the showers in the changing rooms were great.

BUT we made the mistake of going half board rather than walking into town to eat. We often had to wait up to an hour after ordering for food to arrive. I am vegetarian and with the menu not changing all week I was very limited.

On two nights they made a dhal just for me but on the last night I had a bowl of chips and some rather overcooked onion rings. Not what you would expect from a four star hotel.

The breakfasts were excellent most mornings but warmed plates were a rare thing and twice I was served rock hard poached eggs.

A hotel that you will enjoy staying at but do not go half board.

Lovely hotel, pool and spa. Spacious room with large and comfortable bed, nice balcony, fairly quiet. Friendly reception staff, only gripe was breakfast served at 7am which isn’t convenient for some business users like myself, needs to be earlier even if continental.

We were guaranteed a walk in shower for our stay. Our travel agent rang the hotel to ensure it and the guarantee was written in capitals on the booking. Arrived tired to find only over bath shower and a shrug from management . Very distressing for someone with mobility difficulties- and no a bidet does not help as was suggested!

Hotel is great but a bit outdated. Rooms are a bit noisy, you can really hear the people on the rooms beside you. There is not really privacy when it comes to the hottubs or your private space outside. People can walk by and shutters are see through. For Breakfast there is plenty of choice and service is good.
