Always a pleasure to see JR's work. Despite many promises to myself, I've yet to visit Guernsey to see if some of the spectacular places and views are as good as his photographs suggest. His 365 project was a great innovation and was a much-looked-forward to event every day.
During the summer of 2015, JR Photography supplied me with some very informative articles for the local newspaper in Spain that I was editing, accompanied by some stunning images. I know many of our readers enjoyed his weekly contributions. I was also very impressed with his dedication throughout the year in undertaking his 365 photo project, managing to somehow keep it going with something unique in every photo.
In a time when people are choosing to go abroad more, the stunning images taken by JR Photography keep flying the flag for his local area and would certainly encourage me to visit Guernsey. His images always portray a sense of fun too. He would be a more than deserving winner of this award.
I've never been to the Channel Islands, but certainly John's excellent work would be a massive encouragement to do so! His images would perfectly compliment any promotional work as they capture both the ruggedness and quaintness of the island at the same time! Very impressive portfolio!
