We recently visited Hertfordshire Zoo, with the little one and mrs and it was an amazing experience! The variety of animals was impressive, and it was clear that the staff is dedicated to their care and wellbeing. The enclosures were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to see the animals in their natural habitats.

The zoo is perfect for families, with plenty of activities for kids, including interactive exhibits and educational talks. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and share interesting facts about the animals.

I particularly enjoyed the walkthrough aviary, where I was surrounded by beautiful birds flying freely. The picnic areas were a nice touch, allowing us to relax and enjoy our lunch amidst the lovely surroundings.

Overall, Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic day out, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to connect with nature and learn more about wildlife. It's definitely worth a visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic day at Herts zoo. The animals are all extremely well looked after and appear really happy. Never been to a zoo where the animals were so active!

We visited yesterday (Nov 12) and it was fairly quiet, almost so that we felt like we had the place to ourselves; all keepers super friendly and extremely knowledgeable across all subjects. Ended up being the only ones showing up for the tortoise talk and (I can't remember the keepers name!) but he was so friendly!

The dinosaur exhibition was really cool, reminded me of the natural history museums robotrinic t-rex but on a far larger and more impressive scale.

Cannot recommend anymore!

Nice day out but quite expensive for what there is and you have to pay additional for the mini golf and the train.

Booked our tickets in advance and arrived reasonably early in the October half term. Still had a short wait but not too bad. The entry tickets are a bit expensive as most are nowadays, but parking is free. We had a child with disabilities in our group so the carer and child tickets were 2 for 1. Food is a little expensive, but there are plenty of picnic areas to bring your own. We spent most of the day there and I think we still missed a few bits. The dinosaur animatronics were amazing! Everything is on a large scale and lots of photo opportunity spots even when it got busy. The zoo is spread over a number of areas on various different levels. Good idea to use your maps or it gets a bit confusing. There are play areas for kids who just want to let off steam. Overall a great day out at the zoo with some amazing animals and there’s a train ride, (pay extra), for those who are interested.

My husband and I did the meerkat and capybara experiences today. Every single staff member that we interacted with was extremely knowledgeable and so welcoming. You can tell that their is a lot of passion and love for the animals. I would 100% recommended going and already looking at booking more!Visited on

The zoo provided a pleasant experience overall. The dinosaur exhibit was well-managed and engaging. Our children particularly enjoyed this special event. However, it would be beneficial to have a wider variety of food options available. We look forward to visiting again soon.Visited on

This is a lovely place to visit and the Dinosaur world is inside, plenty of parking and places to eat or picnic, the train is a must although extra £2 each. Clean and animals seem happy, some work taking place to improve some enclosures.Visited on
