Went here today for the first time not the best day as blistering hot which meant we were unable to see some of the animals as they were hidden from view trying to keep cool. I liked the cleanliness of the place, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. A great place for the younger ones as so much on offer for them besides the animals. I liked the fact a lot of enclosures were see through from ground level so little ones could see easier. Very surprised not to see any monkeys other than gibbons. Car parking very fair at £3 for all day and free for Disabled.
Food in the cafes a bit pricy I thought but then isn't it all ways. All in all a great day out and will be improved once the penguin enclosure is finished.

Went with my 3 young kids. Loads to do there.
But some of it is extra money, which considering the entry price I was surprised about.
Also when I wasn't looking as I was helping my youngest son with his shoes, my son with ADHD ran up the slide and a member of staff started screaming at him that he wasn't allowed to. Which caused him to have a meltdown.
As we were the only people in the play bit (as it was 9.40am) there was no doubt who his parent was. He should have spoken to me or at least approached my son in a nicer manner. So that did put a damper on the day.

So having loved tigers since I was a child, to find out I could get married a tiger tree tops at PWP was a dream come true, the planning of the wedding was made so simple by the help of James Simmons, the whole day was organised to perfection, the keepers were amazing as we fed the Tigers after the wedding ceremony, adopted a snow leopard for my daughter and had an up close and personal experience to the theatre, the venues were spotless, food amazing and the disco was perfect, all our guests were made to feel part of the PWP family, I even got a lovely warm hug from a member of staff when leaving, nothing seemed to much trouble, amazing day, amazing staff and amazing wildlife park, and great day out for all the family where the animals are so well looked after

A great range of animals and play. My kids love it so much we have bought an annual pass. The team here are excellent the talks are always kid friendly and the staff are so helpful. Don't forget your swimming stuff as the splash lagoon is a perfect way to end the day- brilliant!

Unless you have kids in tow this will take no more than 3 hours to visit all of the animal attractions, shows and talks. A lot of the park is geared up for young kids with quite a significant amount of play areas to keep them entertained further. Make sure you pack a picnic as park prices are ridiculous. Standard pack of walkers crisps and a hotel style pack of two shortbread biscuits £3. Bottles of drink well over £2. Cafe expensive and found the service far from acceptable for the prices being charged £7 for a burger and waiting in a queue for 20 mins plus on what I would consider a quiet day. Good selection of big cats not seen elsewhere together with some shows worth watching . We visited as part of a Virgin Experience Day - 'Afternoon Tea with Tigers'. The main part of experience was tea and keeper talks. Group of 20+ of us were walked round the all the cat enclosures whilst providing some insightful additional detail. This took about an hour but no access to any areas that you could not get to whilst walking around park under normal admission. Afternoon tea in Tree Tops cafe very disappointing. Do not expect it to be anything like a normal afternoon tea. All self service in a buffet style. Sandwiches were good but the cakes were all fresh out of a freezer and the scones were all cut in half with a bit of jam , squirty cream and a cut strawberry with the stem still attached! Pretty much the worst afternoon tea experienced. Suggest you give the experience a wide birth and just get a general admission to the park - just remember to bring your own food and drink. Oh and to top it all you need to pay an extra £3 for parking.

Brilliant place for children and adults alike. Animals all looked well cared for and there were play areas for when little ones got bored. Food was reasonable too

To begin with I thought it was quite expensive at £50 for two adults and one child. The variety of animals was good but I thought their enclosures were quite small, they looked happy as everything was sleeping! We saw a tiger asleep, Jaguar asleep, snow leopards asleep and lions asleep. The otters and mere cats were good though. Although not a brilliant review I spent all day there and the kids enjoyed it.

Fantastic for the whole family. You can get really really close to the animals and the enclosures are far, FAR better than those found at ZSL London Zoo. Big on the conservation and education behind all of the inhabitants.

We visited today with family, and enjoyed a really great day, there was so much to see and lots to do for children some of which are free which is a bonus, plenty of good places to eat and well staffed, so not too many queues, the staff seemed to be really friendly and we're willing to help , the lagoon area was very popular and was well kept, a really great day will be going again soon.

This is a lovely little Zoo, ideal for a day out with the family, the animals are in well kept areas and look fit, healthy and happy. There is a very nice refreshment area where you can buy food and drinks and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It caters for all ages and at certain times the children can even feed the animals too, which they all really enjoy. I would certainly recommend a trip here if you are in the area.

Great zoo and well priced, plus for an additional £1 you can get a bag of fruit/veg to feed to specific animals during your day. This zoo allows you to get very close to many of the animals which is definitly an exciting moment! All the animals look healthy and well cared for and the park looked very clean. Although it is quite a small zoo, you can spend all day there and there is a large play area near the enterance for young children plus crazy golf for £2 per person.

We had a lovely day here with children from age 4 to 13yrs , we had a picnic in the gardens before starting our visit. all children enjoyed the animals who were very well looked after. All varieties of animals were here . The park was well laid out & very clean & there is something for everyone really. There were also plenty of play facilities for all age groups of children & a small pool which we didn't use but there were plenty of children there enjoying themselves. There was a cafe & souvenir shop also.

Good day out, especially for young Children as there's a lot to do.
The only thing that puts me off is the size of the cages - the area for the 4 lions is not big enough at all for animals that large.

Well run Zoo's (as this clearly is) have large overheads, however, I feel that charging a two yr old a gate fee of £15, when an adult ticket is £18 (which I consider acceptable) is too expensive. A half adult cost of £9.00 would be fair I feel ?
My wife and I took our grandson here a couple of weeks ago. There is certainly plenty to see and do at Paradise Wildlife Park. Since we were last here (approx 20 yrs ago with our daughter), there have been play areas/rides added, which are a positive addition to the Park for younger children.
We enjoyed seeing all the animals, particularly the lions from the raised viewing platform. The animals looked well cared for by a team of staff, whom clearly love their work.
We took a picnic and although we did manage to find a picnic bench, some additional seating is needed around the park.
We were at P.W.P. for 5 hrs and managed to see everything. We had a very enjoyable time, the sun shone all day and we were worn out at the end.

First of all I would like to thank all the management and the staff for the whole fantastic experience, it was a truly wonderful relaxing couple of days.
We had the privilege to enjoy two of the Paradise Wildlife Parks experiences, firstly "Breakfast with the Tigers" and "Snooze at the Zoo" on two consecutive days.
We were amazed at the whole thing and the added value attached.

The accommodation is far superior than expected, and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

The staff are all very enthusiastic, friendly, professional and obviously very proud to work here, which is very refreshing.

Now for a reality check...
I have read quite a few of the previous reviews, and people not happy about various things, such as extra charges for things like food and car parking...
Everyone who runs a business or even a home or a car knows there are necessary costs attached.
Things such as staff wages, electricity, gas, water, various insurance policies, fuel, commercial waste removal, business rates, garden maintenance, general maintenance, repairs and renewals, cleaning equipment, clanging materials, hand soap and sanitizer and even toilet rolls, plus much much more.
Not to mention animal feeds and vets bills...

I would imagine that visitor numbers will decline during winter months, but animals need to be fed, kept warm and cared for (even on Christmas Day).

And yes, the penguin thing is under refurbishment (and looks very exciting), the reality being that this part of the Park is temporarily out of action, but that to us will be a reason to plan a future visit, instead of whining.

Please please go here with all this in all this mind and really enjoy your day, after all if you don't want to pay a nominal £3 fee for ALL DAY parking, get a taxi or a lift, maybe catch a train to Broxbourne railway station, then get the FREE shuttle to the park.

Also, if you don't want to pay park prices for food (no one says it's compulsory), take your own and use one of the FREE picnic areas that they kindly provide for our use, and place your debris in one of the many rubbish or recycling bins provided.

There really are plenty of stimulating, exciting, and educational activities specifically designed for children which are absolutely FREE, so again, "the extras" are not compulsory.

Rant over!

Overall this place represents fantastic value for money, and therefore would thoroughly recommend a visit.

I would like to thank Paradise Wildlife Park for all your hard work and efforts, also for the absolute dedication towards conservation of rare and endangered species.

We truly had a lovely weekend thank you once again. x

The Kids left happy, job done !
We were more than pleased with the animals, particularly the white lions, the viewing platform was great for photos.
Cafe was a little pricey but can't complain, we brought our own lunch and only bought a few hot drinks.
Plenty of areas to shelter as it was a little rainy on the day we visited so no worries there.
Would return as the kids has a great day..

We visited on Wednesday with our daughter & 2 grandchildren aged 5. We regularly visit, usually 2 or 3 times a year. This visit, however, left us disappointed. The penguin enclosure is still not open, the reindeer seemed to have disappeared to make way for the Australia experience, which unfortunately wasn't open, the wooden walkways above the big cat enclosure were closed for "essential maintenance" though there was no work going on. The one that houses the cafe & looks on to the Tigers was open. Within the animal section the wooden walkway by the wolf enclosure was taped off & I didn't see any explanation. Another area that has been marked as for redevelopment for some time showed no sign of any work. On a positive note, all of the staff are really friendly & helpful & the park is kept clean. Our Tumble Jungle experience was ruined by a number of older boys - I believe that at least two were teenagers, who, despite being asked to leave several times by staff kept returning & we're so boisterous as to be off putting for the younger children for whom it is obviously intended. I felt really sorry for the staff as they seemed unable to keep them out. In the end., we left, rather than wait for our children to be hurt or intimidated by their behaviour I think management of PWP need to look seriously at enforcing an upper age limit, but open to staff discretion if an older sibling is in effect looking after a younger one.
The.charge for parking doesn't 't sit well with me I have read PWP's responses to other comments about this & I am unclear as to what changes they have been forced to make because the main car park looked the same to me. Presumably then, the charge will no longer apply once the costs have been recovered.
The animals.that we did see looked in good condition but seeing solitary animals in smallish enclosures (I am thinking especially of the cheetah who was pacing up & down all the time!) does concern me.

The Meet The Meerkats was an absolutely brilliant experience. I bought this experience for my brother for his birthday. We were taken to a private area of the zoo and our parents were allowed to come in too. We started off by feeding them and then once the food was gone the Meerkats stood on our shoulders, cuddled up for scratches and were just totally affectionate! It lasted the full half an hour and was an incredible experience.

The rest of the zoo is clean, well looked after and the animals all seemed happy and content.

I was really impressed with the whole facility and would recommend a visit!

Visited today August so school holidays. Paid £32 entrance for myself and son which I thought was rather a lot . Had a good enjoyable day even though park was busy. Had to pay extra for train ride nd mini golf which I feel should be included in the entrance fee.
Would visit again but would makes sure had some kind of voucher.

We visited here as we had booked to feed the white lions and what an experience it was we couldnt fault anything! On arrival to the discovery centre we were met with a drink and biscuits and given certificates and t shirts as souveniers of our experience whilst we waited for the keeper to arrive. Once Shirley arrived she took us behind the scenes where the food is prepared and then took us down to the lion enclosure. I just want to say Shirley was brilliant knows everything about the lions and the history of the park, very passionate about her job!!! we weren't rushed in any way and Shirley answered any questions we had. It was an amazing experience and i would definately do it again. The park has alot going on especially if you have young children, theres a splash park/picnic area and you really do need the whole day here to see it all.
Definately worth the 2 1/2 hour car journey!!

We have been here before and love this place. Lots to see and do for the children. It's a zoo, soft play, splash zone and fantastic play area . There are inflatables, slides, woodland walks and a Wolf walk. The animals look extremely well looked after and even though on arrival it looked busy, once inside everybody had spread out and there wasn't any queuing for anything . The staff are very friendly and cheerful and a perfect school holiday day out.
