I went with grandchildren 10 and 8 years old. Plenty to do and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. Animals look well cared for and you can get up close to view them properly. Plenty of other activities for children i.e. softplay, playground etc. Cafes and picnic areas. Take plenty of £1 coins for extra activities and well worth it!

Only gripe is having to pay for car parking but I soon got over it.

What an amazing day!!

Bought big cat feeding for my partners 21st birthday present and it completely exceeded our expectations.

We started our day with lunch in the tiger tree tops cafe. Slightly over priced but was nice enough food, good selection and lovely to sit and eat whilst watching the tigers lounge about. Staff were friendly enough.

After lunch we had a quick walk round and went across to the discovery centre ready for big cat lunch time.

We were expecting to be taken through, feed a cat then left too it. We couldn't have been more wrong.

We were welcomed into the discovery centre by a very friendly lady (sorry can't remember her name) and sat down. She returned very quickly and put a dvd on for us explaining the history of the park and offered a drink ( good selection) and even given a plate of biscuits!
The lady came back over again for a chat, very friendly but she was clearly aware this was our day and didn't want to stay too long, she left us again to fill out necessary forms and then introduced us to our zoo keeper who whisked us off to feed the cats.

I think the zoo keepers name was Shirley or Sharon, ( I will call her S) she was amazing!
So passionate, so friendly and immediately put us at ease. Obviously we were counting fingers before she came!

S was so knowledgeable about he park and its history, and clearly lived and breathed her work. We were taken on a tour of the behind the scenes areas; the animal kitchen, the meat fridge (an eye opener) and the meat prep room. In the prep room the procedure was explained and we were made to feel 110% comfortable and confident before continuing.

My partner was then given the meat to carry and we were taken to the white tiger. I want to make it clear at this point we weren't hurried along at all, we thoroughly enjoyed every single part of the experience, S genuinely wanted to make it an experience to remember and wanted to make my partner feel like he was doing now every part of the process, she was really lovely.

The experience was bought for my partner only but I was still allowed to go into the enclosure to take pictures, and S kept checking with me to make sure I was getting photos for him and really made me feel included in the experience.

The feeding was incredible! S explained about the breed, how they live in the wild, how they eat, the Tigers temperament, his personality it really was fantastic. TIP: don't wear white, you will get tiger dribble on you! :) which is gross and amazing at the same time!

After the feeding had finished S couldn't thank me enough for buying the experience, she explained how the money from these experiences help the animals, the park and the projects they have around the world. It made it even more worth while.

We were given a tee shirt and a certificate, which was lovely and S gave us tips on what to see next and when other cats were being fed.

I can't thank paradise wildlife park enough for such a fantastic day! It's been almost a week since we visited and my partner is still telling everyone he sees about his tiger feeding! He is still smiling ear to ear!
Coming from a very customer service driven background I honestly believe it was the staff who made the day so special so a HUGE thank you!!

We will be visiting again.

Thank you from Trevor and Emma.

My husband and I visited here today. Nice range of animals just very confusing when walking around as no set route to follow. Sadly some of the enclosures were closed for refurbishment. Very disappointed with £3 car parking charge as most zoos are free parking. Although the lions and tigers were very close up and the high bridge lookouts were great for getting a closer look. Park was very clean and tidy. Toilets were clean. Loads for children to do.

Paying £32 for 2 adults we do think it was slightly expensive for the size of the park but no more so than any other attraction in the area. You can also get good deals with voucher websites and newspaper offers, we just happened to miss out on these!

Start of the day we thought we would be disappointed as hardly any of the animals were out to look at but as the day went on they woke up and we got to see everything. Loved the woodland walk area. So peaceful and a nice change from all the rowdy school groups!

Miniature golf was excellent. Simple but loads of fun and only £2 each!

Loads of space for picnics but also lots of kiosks to buy food (probably expensive like most attractions). Although ice cream prices were very reasonable.

Would be a great day out for kids with animal food available (£1), demonstrations and talks and big play areas including sand pit, paddling pool, bouncy castles, slides and a traditional playground area.

Didn't end up going in the speedway museum as we forgot about it but did see it on the way in.

Overall we had a great day the staff were friendly and the sun was shining!

The zoo is well laid out so you get to see lots of animals but the downside is the enclosures are quite small so it doesn't seem so nice for the animals.
It's a very child friendly place and definitely geared more for young families.
Ample parking and eating areas with a large play area for kids.
A great place to take children.

My wife and I received the Walk on the Wildside VIP tour for Christmas 2015. Being honest we were not sure what to expect what we got was an amazing experience.
The Park is small and in contrast to other zoos that we have experienced they have not jammed too many animals into their enclosures. And there enclosures, although small are excellently put together giving the animals plenty of activities to do, as well as places to strut, hide and snore! The enclosures also use vertical space to add to the amount of area the animals have. All the animals appeared calm and at ease even with the numerous school groups screaming around.
The whole site is amazingly disabled friendly where even the ramp to the Big Cat is long and gentle, easy for carers pushing wheelchairs. In fact throughout the entire park I only found two areas of concern for wheelchairs, the entrance to the Tiger house and the entrance to the bat house, both have a slight step up that can turn the front wheels.
As for the Walk on the Wildside experience, being able to get up close to a barn owl and several smaller reptiles and animals is so awesome. Ellie, our guide was incredible throughout, she knew her stuff and certainly opened my eyes to the issues of reptile pet ownership.
Food is no more expensive than a large MacDonalds meal however the drinks are very expensive which was a big issue as the sun was beating down.

Enjoyed the animals but your architect obviously had no kids. The toddler play areas seemed to have either concrete or tarmac surfaces which are now way out of date.Toddlers fall down a lot and in your play areas would come home with scrapes and cuts. Most public play areas are now rubberised or bark chip. Time you caught up

First Impressions of the park was that I had jumped into a kids theme park, the music, paddling pool and playground right at the entrance really are not a welcoming sight to grown ups coming for the zoo without kids.

I took my animal lover girlfriend here as a treat because the park offers some amazing creatures that you cant see in many places such as the White Tiger and European Wolf and these animals do not disappoint, the enclosures seem large enough and the animals seem happy, the keepers are knowledgeable and the displays/talks are interesting.

The only real downside the the zoo experience was the tech. In the wolf talk the speakers kept crackling and this made it hard to tell what the zoo keeper was sayings. Also in the Bird display the mic was continuously cutting out which also made it difficult to hear what was being said.

The biggest let down of the trip was the food and service. We had a meal in the restaurant before leaving and both me and my girlfriend ordered a burger and chips. The food came barely warm and the chips were a little soggy. Noticeably at the restaurant and all the kiosks around the park the staff are teenagers who seem to be very relaxed in there roles are not to concerned with providing a smile and a thank you. I found myself on occasion feeling like a I was a bother to them but having to be served.

Additionally we enjoyed a brief walk around the motocross museum which had some really interesting pieces although the member of staff in the museum looked very bored and didn't seem keen to discuss the sport with me.

My advice for any visitors is this, skip the playgrounds and kids entertainment, don't go in the restaurant, just head straight to the zoo because that's where Paradise Wildlife park gets all its top marks from.

We visited on the above experience just to get a taster of the park. We were in a group of just over 20 - perhaps a little on the large side! But the experience was lovely - learning about the park itself and getting a little insight to the animals over an hour before other people were in was really nice. Breakfast was good too.

Overall the zoo was wonderful for being in such a small site! SO much packed in, great enclosures, lots of information.

We came here as a young couple on a day trip.

First things first, I do worry that the enclosures are very small. Seeing a big proud tiger in what looked to be a rather small area really did tug on the heart strings.

I feel paradise wildlife park is ok. It's a nice trip out for kids but it's definitely not the best experience ever.

All of the enclosures just seem cramped although the animals appeared well cared for, being in small places for large creatures may have a effect on their mental health?

The birds of paradise left a lot to the imagination, in one of the enclosures was a crow... And I'm not even sure if it was alive. It doesn't look like the owls have space to really stretch their wings and hunt like they would in the wild.

I do not think that we would return here.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the park and we had a fantastic time. The staff were very very helpful and passionate about what they do, the animals were incredible and looked very happy with their life at the park, the facilities were great and the zebra apartment was wonderful.
To all staff.....keep up the great work

My wife and I have just got home after having one of the most special and memorable weekends. On our first day we did the "shadow a keeper experience" which was a once in a lifetime thing to do. We spent the whole day with different keepers from different areas of the park, roughly an hour with each in each section. We started in the paddocks, then reptiles, then birds or paradise, then small mammals and finally in the primates section. We had an hour for lunch which was included and also was involved in and was able to watch the "Animal Antics" and the "Wings of Paradise" show, both about 30 minuets long.
I can not speak more highly of the keepers, each and everyone of them was friendly, passionate, helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
All of the animals were very healthy and their enclosures were clean and well looked after.
To make the weekend ever more special we stayed the night in one of their apartments, which again was clean, lovely and fully equipped with everything that you would expect from a hotel room.
Having stayed the night this gave us access into the park an hour before the public so we could see and hear all of the different animals waking up. And to top it all off we had breakfast in the "Tiger Treetops" cafe, where we ate a delicious breakfast overlooking the tiger enclosure. We then spent the rest of the day strolling around the park seeing the animals that we did not get a chance to see the day before.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!

What a great wildlife park! Small, but with a good array of animals, all obviously in excellent condition. Lots of things to do, both for "free" (i.e. as part of the overall admission--such as keeper talks about various animals--we saw a stunning disply of birds in action as one example)) or as extras. We had a big cat experience, which meant that we got to hand-feed a lion (through a fence, of course, and with a keeper in attendance). Absolute highlight not just of the day but of my life. Lots of things to do with kids to keep them entertained when/if the animals get boring--if you can imagine that. Feeding zoo too! Not to be missed.

We got the big cat experience and it was amazing! We got to feed the lions by hand - through a fence and under a keeper's supervision for safety. The exercise is also a training exercise for the animals so it is a win/win! Our keeper was Ian and he was fantastic. He spent a lot of time with us, answering all the questions that we had. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly - and patient! He also clearly cared about both the animals under his direct care and the welfare of the big cats generally. In addition, we spent a very happy day wandering the entire park. The exhibits are spotlessly clean and the animals were all clearly extremely contented and in perfect condition. Ian gave us loads of insight into their careful management programs. This is well worth at least a day's visit. If I were local (ie from the UK!) I would buy a year's pass with no hesitation. Loads to do here and in a wonderful area. We will definitely visit again! This is a fantastic day out for kids!

I have been visiting this small zoo for around 20 years. It has always been a lovely day out with a great selection of animals and good activities for children. Today I took my partner for a birthday treat Tiger Tea. A great value big cat experience. Our guide Shirley knew all about the animals and clearly loved her job. The guided tour of all the big cats was very informative. It was followed by afternoon tea at Tiger Treetops cafe. I would highly recommend Paradise Park for the excellent conservation work they do and for a wonderful Big Cat Experience at an affordable price.

Went with hubby using a voucher bought for me as a Christmas present.

We were lucky with the weather nice sunny day which helps of course. Got to the park around 11:30am and went to see some of the animals of which there is plenty. They have overhead walk ways so you can look into the enclosures to, as some of the tigers and cheetahs enclosures have lots of bushes and you wouldn't necessarily see them from the ground.

At 12:45 we joined the others on our tour of the gardens within the park. Head gardener Gordon was our guide. He was a really nice chap full of information on not only the plants but why they planted them some specifically for food for the animals and the history of the park itself. The tour lasted around 2.5 hours then we went for our afternoon tea in the tree top tea room where we sat and looked out over the tiger enclosure.

After this we had another stroll around the park looking at animals we didn't get a chance to see before and went on the woodland walk.

There is plenty for the children there to, a paddling pool, bouncy slide, they put on shows for them and also a genuine train and fire engine for them to play on.

All in all a lovely day in very pleasant surroundings. We would go again.

The Wildlife Park itself (animals) is great good views of the animals and they all look happy and well looked after. However £60 for a family ticket is a lot considering that it's quite small. Also the play areas are covered in kids rides machines that cost a £1 each, there is one everywhere you turn (probably 40 at a guess) two I put money into and that did not work. Also you have to pay for parking separately £3. Why? The park is semi rural and you have almost no choice but to drive, just another excuse to take more money off you.

I imagine that it is expensive to run a park like this but I'd like to feel that the real earner is not kids machines and parking.

This is a great place to spend a day. There a lots of animals to see including some rare ones, such as the a White Lion. The location is very convenient and easy to get to and there are plenty of facilities on site. There are also lots of activities for kids too outside of seeing the animals.

We went on a Sunday very easy to find well sign posted staff even guide you to the parking spaces. My 3 1/2 year old niece never got bored once, there is an abundance of real wild life on show inc cheetah and spectacular white tigers, zebra that come upto the fence and are inches from you. Also the park have shows to educate on the farm animals which you can feed and touch, also otters and the really up close meerkats which were so funny to watch it's like the visitors hypnotise them then they fall over on their backs, amazing value to watch not to mention the snakes insects bats and array of birds, we watched a display too. You can also pay to sit in and feed some of the various animals which was pricey but for a special occasion would be worth a return visit. We did the face painting for £5 and my niece picked her own design !! We all loved the day and makes a cheaper and more fun visit than other zoos. There are many swings parks and fun things to do and kids could eat and drink also near the bouncy castles area as well. We enjoyed it as much as the kids.

A very well kept animal park. Lots of large and small creatures to enjoy, including lions, camel, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, meerkats, reptiles, birds etc. A great play park with slides, swings and adventure equipment. Train ride, soft play, paddling pool and lots more. Beware that there are lots of school trips!

For my wife's Birthday I booked a " Tickle a Tapir" experience at Paradise Park Wildlife Park.
We arrived at about 12.00 for a 2.00pm experience, the entry to the park was inclusive.
The first impression was of a well run venue, well paved car park short walk across road to the Park.
If you arrived early you would be able to get in the inside car park.
Note: there is a very reasonable £3 fee for car parking.
Inside the Park we were very impressed with the multiple play areas for young children and the large clean paddling pool.
The whole park was well kept and clean with plenty of staff around to give help or directions.
At 2.00pm we went to the discovery centre and the Tapir keeper took us to their enclosure, there was just the 2 of us and the keeper.
We were able to tickle and stroke these lovely animals.
The experience lasted a full half an hour during which the keeper told us all about Tapirs, very enjoyable.
We then walked round the park to view the other animals seeing the White Lions, Tigers etc all were very active as it was near feed time.
We couldn't fault the Park in any way and really had a very nice time.
Young children would have a fantastic time with tractor rides and a short train ride to go on as well.
There are plenty of picnic tables and seats to sit on which is very important if you are getting on a bit, there is also an undercover picnic are if it should rain and good toilet and catering facilities
We would highly recommend Paradise Park.
