Booked two experiences at the Park - Meet the Meerkats and Breakfast with the Big Cats, We arrived at the park at 11.30am - collected our VIP wrist bands and proceeded to wander around the grounds. We were staying at the park in one of their apartments and so we had access to the grounds until 6pm. It was quite busy with packs of children all of them were very well behaved, and it was lovely to see their expressions when they saw the different animals. The animals were all in good condition and their pens were spacious. The staff were very knowledgeable in fact there was nothing I could criticize.

Enjoyed a wonderful day at the Paradise Wildlife Park, starting off with a Red Panda Experience.

After signing a Health & Safety disclaimer, we commenced our experience being taken into the kitchens to see the animal food being prepared. Picking up some pots of diced pear and fresh bamboo we then headed over to the red panda enclosure.

Upon our arrival, Teajmunn, the male red panda, wandered up to his feeding post where we hand fed him his pear. A wonderfully gentle creature. Tilly, the female, opted to stay at the top of the tree so we didn't get an opportunity to meet her. Connor and Sam, our zoo keeper hosts, were knowledgable about the red pandas and kindly took some photos for us of our time in the enclosure.

Half an hour or so later, we left the red pandas and spent the day wandering around watching the big cats, zebras, monkeys and their other animal attractions.

A great day out, and a big thank you to Connor and Sam for helping to make it a wonderful day.

Had a great day out despite rainy and fairly cold weather.
We got for the experience of Feeding Meerkats and enjoyed not just that but the whole park.
It’s absolutely astonishing that people can run such huge place with so many animals just from donations and money people spend in the park and it’s outrageous that government not just doesn’t support them but also taxes them.

As for the park itself, there’s quite a big “playground” for kids right at the entrance so most children that actually get pass this to the park itself don’t have enough energy to be too loud or nosy to disturb the animals.
All the animals in the park are saved from various places and sometimes horrible mistreatment so it’s nice to see they have a comfortable asylum here.
All the carers we met were very friendly and fond of their “nurse-animals”; they were well educated and answered all our questions. The enclosures were all clean and despite them being sometimes a bit small the animals had all they needed in them, the carers even tried to emulate the environment each animal lives in.
None of the animals looked stressed, as a matter of fact all we could see was either a lazy relax (despite all the visitors around) or a healthy curiousness. I loved that you can buy bits of carrots and parsnips around the park to feed some of the animals which was making the day more interesting for both the inhabitants and the people visiting them.

The Meet the Meerkats experience was fabulous! We were taken to a private enclosure where meerkats can hide when they don’t want to be bothered by people. The carers first gave us all the information we needed to enter and then we just got a bowl of meerkats’ favourite treats each and off we went.
We were inside for more than half hour, the whole time being observed, “investigated” and cuddled by the meerkats – first they focused on the bowls and once these were empty they took interest in us looking for a warm place to snuggle in.
The carer was taking pictures on our phones the whole time and he was also telling us about them – he knew all their names and personalities, was telling us interesting things about the species to educate us as well as funny stories about this particular group. He genuinely cared for them and that just made the experience even better.
All the meerkats were healthily curious and active, very nosy and brave – they were clearly not stressed by the presence of “strangers”, on the contrary – it felt like it’s a nice variegation of their daily programme.
All in all, we really enjoyed the day and were happy we can contribute at least a little bit to the money pot the park needs to take care of all the animals. We’re looking forward to come again!

I love this place, staff are always friendly and accommodating. Worth the money much better value, never cramped, lots of room for you all to see the animals. Big area for little kids to play. Great talks and feeding times. Staff know their animals. Looking forward to renewing my membership.

We went here for the day and although some of the negative comments did concern us a bit we always like to make our own minds up. The day we visited was during the week and was not during the school holiday so it was quiet. The Park is not huge which is good as you can get around to see everything without having to walk miles. There are play areas for younger children and yes they are at the start of the park after entrance but what is nice is that as soon as you walk over h very sensible safe crossing point you are in the Wildlife Park. The animals are well carried for and all are out of there sleeping quarters which are clean. There are accessible walk ways that give you a great view of the wild cats. Lots of talks and the keeper who appeared to do most of the talks was very informative and knew his stuff as well as being very passionate about what he does. It was a pity that the Penguins were not on show as the enclosure was being modernized and if the pictures of the new enclose are anything to go by we will be back to see it. We spent a good 4 hours leisurely walking around.

We had a excellent day out here yesterday, it was for my daughters 9th birthday, I had previously looked online and found a 20% off voucher which brought the price down to £48. I think the £48 is a reasonable price for this zoo, originally would have been £60 which is £6 less than London zoo of you pre book. I think £60 is a bit high but was very happy paying £48 for the day we had. the animals were great, lovely variety to see and definitely well looked after, the penguins are currently no there as their home is being refurbished so will return to see them as they were what my son really wanted to see. everywhere was clean and tidy although lots of signs for washing hands after handling animals but not many sinks to be seen but if you looked could find sanitiser gel to use. I was impressed that the feed bags where vegetable chunks a nice change to pellets and some places. The park side is a lovely size with lots of choice for the children, we got there early so wasn't to busy with the children which id definitely recommend doing. My youngest loved the train ride and the giant sand pit and Lego blocks. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and will return in the future

This an ideal zoo for those with young children. There are not only animals on view: several large playgrounds with large and colourful equipment, it was heaving with children when we went and they have the usual food outlets but I think you could take a picnic, there are tables with seating and the usual facilities.

The animals are easily viewed - we saw a snow leopard with its lovely thick tail, a white tiger (extremely majestic), many monkeys, lemurs, birds, reptiles and larger mammals. The experience which stands out in my mind is the interaction between the wolf and its handler. Make sure you don't miss it (I don't want to spoil it for you): it may change the way you regard wolves! There is a good mix of large and small animals, a crocodile and an interesting talk on British wildlife by a very expert presenter - she injected enormous enthusiasm into the talk - at the end we had a close-up view of a python, tortoise and a hissing beetle.

We have been here 3 times this year, we love it. Just this weekend gone I purchased 1 item and used contactless to pay for it. The lady gave me my transaction receipt. I only realised that they charged me twice for the same item the next day when I checked my internet banking. Money had already been taken out of my direct debit. The bank advised me to speak with them first before opening up a dispute. When I called they seemed to know that this was happening. No refund was suggested. Sounds fishy to me. Had to go through the bank which took a lot of time just to get my money back. Watch your payment method I would not advice anyone to use their contactless there. Happened to me the 1st time and I use the card a lot.

Had Breakfast with the Big Cats given as a present by my wife. Absolutely recommend it if you like big cats. You get really close to them too especially in the Treetops Cafe as you look across the tiger enclosure. Great guided tour which lasted over an hour of the BIg Cat Territory. Very informative. Nice staff & great animals

I have been visiting this park since I was a kid, my last visit was when I was around 9/10, I am now 20. I treated my mum as a day out for her birthday with the rest of the family and my boyfriend. I have always loved paradise park and all the animals in it (the red pandas are my favourite) The food is very expensive, £5.60 for a kids meal (which wasn't all that) so take your own food. There are stinging nettles everywhere! I managed to get stung a few times.
We got the train from London to Broxbourne so we had to use the Paradise Park cab service which was great, they pick you up anytime and return you back to the station at anytime just for £3 return each (adult) and the driver was very nice and friendly, all the staff were!
I would return here, most certainly, I will just be more careful around the nettles next time!

I recently visited Paradise Wildlife Park with my boyfriend and we had a fantastic day. The animals are so much closer to you than other zoos that I have visited. The animals all looked healthy and all the staff that we spoke to were very friendly. Can't wait for our next visit!!

Had a Reasonably fun day here at Paradise Wildlife Park.
Travelled from north West Norfolk for our day out here. Weather wasn't the best so couldn't take full advantage of a lot of facilities provided.
Loads of play equipment & various areas to offer the kids a fun time amongst the animals. Train ride was cute & kids enjoyed the set up of animals & dinosaurs.
There's also a splash park which looked really good, but again, couldn't use due to good ol' British summertime...!
Animal park was interesting & there really was a good variation of animals, from tigers, cheetahs & leopards to camels, zebras, reptiles, monkeys, deer, wolves & birds plus lots more.
The weather just brought a dampener to our day.
We paid for tickets with Tesco clubcard vouchers, £15 in vouchers got us £60 in day out reward tokens and we didn't have to put a penny to it!
There was just something, I can't put my finger on, but I felt I wasn't fully enjoying it at the time... Just my own daft perception though, I'm sure!
Had the weather been better, we could've stayed longer & enjoyed more.
Great for parents of young children.

Went for breakfast with the tigers experience which included tour of big and small cats out of hours, breakfast in cafe over looking tigers and whole day in park. Nothing but amazing. Staff were really nice and very knowledgeable.
Only thing wrong was only 2 food outlets open in heaving half term. Would certainly return.

My birthday present was a Meerkat experience at this park. That was well done with good attentive staff and even better with meekats up and close and personal. Overall we felt the place was not sure whether it wanted to be a children's theme park or a wildlife park? The minimal animal exhibits were good but at every turn there seemed to be a child's ride or similar. A great day out for a young family but limited for animal lovers. Some of the enclosures are well designed to observe the animals ie Otters and Meerkats but some not so good. Worth a visit for a young family.

I can here on a Monday so it wasn't very busy which was nice.
The farm animals are amazing, loved feeding them! This was the best part.
All the animals looked well looked after and there is a very large variety.
Not sure if I'd bother to go again though. There are definitely better parks to go to.

We went to sit and eat at a place onsite. The burgers we got were very expensive and vile.
We paid £22 for two cokes. A cheeseburger and chips each. The chips had been cooked a couple times to stay hot and the burgers must of been sitting there for the whole day. They were like dry bricks.

Disgusting.

Second visit within the last 2 years, this time taking our friends and their two children aged 2 & 4.

Positives. Lots of entertainment for the kids, they had a brilliant day and came away shattered. Staff are very attentive and helpful.
All the enclosures for the animals are close together so not too much walking around to find things. You can get very close up to the big cats which has it's plus side and negatives (See later in the review)
Food was OK, your usual burgers and chips etc. Although the restaurant was very busy service was quick with minimal waiting.

Negatives. Small enclosures for the animals which results in your being to get very close to them but also seemed to lead to lots of the big cats pacing around and looking more than bored. Something I never like to see.
Some of the park needs some TLC, the crazy golf is virtually a jungle and difficult to get around, along with the astro turf being very worn. Certainly needs addressing.

A good day out which represents good value. Especially for the kids.

I made a trip to this area of the country in order to visit a number of zoos and wildlife parks, including this one. Over the year I am visiting more than 40 so inevitably I compare them. One recent visit was the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which costs £15 and has polar bears, tigers, lions and much, much more. Paradise Wildlide Park costs £17 and is nowhere near as good.

It is always interesting to see the big cats, and effort is made to offer enrichment to the animals in their enclosures. That is, once you can find them amid the childrens' play things - ride ons, climbing things, bouncing things, a stage for singing things, crazy golf and so on. Clearly appreciated by local kids, but it felt rather seedy to me and I was glad to find the animals. There isn't a particularly large collection here, and the enclosures are not huge. It is pleasing to see the efforts that have been made to improve the interiors. I very much liked the woodland walk area where there are wolves and some hoofstock but did not like the garish plastic dinosaurs and the train which goes through, cheapening what should be a beautiful, natural area.

We ate in Safari Sam's Diner, which is actually good value for money. The toppings on jacket potatoes are very generous!

Overall this is not somewhere I would return. I feel it is very expensive for what it offers. I would prefer to see a separation between the animals and the "play facilities". There are better and cheaper wildlife parks around.

Took my young children 4 and 2 to paradise park recently. It was a good experience - they enjoyed seeing the good range of animals. Entry was reasonable with a voucher and we spent about 4 hours there which was plenty for them. The kids outside area is also very good. Having to pay a £1 for the train ride was a bit unnecessary as it's not the most entertaining but not the end of the world as the kids seemed to enjoy it so that's the most important thing

My husband bought me a meerkat experience for Christmas. It was brilliant and the keeper was really chatty and informative. Got really close to the meerkats and one sat on my shoulder. There is so much to do at the park like crazy golf, adventure park as well as all the animals. Definitely would visit again.

Although we did enjoy our day out at Paradise Wildlife park, it was disappointing to see that since we were here last, a couple of years ago. The place looked very run down & shabby, enclosures were over grown, bushes not cut back making it hard to view some animals / birds. But worst of all it was disheartening to see that many of the animals looked sad, unkept & were pacing around seemingly bored especially the big cats. Some animals looked thin or as though they hadn't had any attention paid to them in some time, it was upsetting to see. Other areas could do with attention too for example the train ride - train took several minutes to get going as just couldn't get momentum to pull the weight of carriages. Then when it did get going half of what we were supposed to be seeing was hidden by overgrown plats - dinosaurs also covered in moss & cobwebs.
Basically the whole place needed much TLC.
It is good to see that some areas are being done up so hopefully this is the start of a good overhaul which is much need to make it the great place it can be.
