Fab place to visit. Animals always look happy and well looked after. Only negative is the cost of refreshments. Which may be a result of the amount of visitors currently using discount vouchers of some kind or other.

The park has come on leaps and bounds over the years but they have found more ways to fleece you of money along the way. The food is extremely over priced and poor quality so bring a packed lunch. The price goes up by over 50% at weekends but they make no effort to ensure the rides and indoor areas are open, £13 instead of £8 for 5 year old children!. Attractions such as the train ride incur an additional charge and the Santa visit is not worth the money! At least the car parking is free but I wonder how long it will be before they see that as yet another revenue generation scheme.

Went here with a Groupon deal and wasn't disappointed. It is a not the biggest zoo, but there are some nice animals to see and you can get very close to them, and enough to spend an afternoon. Seeing a Snow Leopard up close was amazing. Very nice for children, and I would certainly take little ones here. The raised walkways give a good perspective for the bigger animals. People have commented about the enclosure sizes, and some do seem small, others look ok, but then I am no expert on exotic animal husbandry. The rabbits should however be pair bonded (spayed of course) and not alone in their runs, which was noted by my partner seeing them. Having tea and cakes looking at the Tigers is a nice touch. I did wonder if the larger owls couldn't have used some more room. I would visit again, perhaps in summer to see things on a hot day and if the animals behave differently.

We went on a Tea with the Tigers experience as a birthday treat. The park was fairly quiet (a dull day in November!) so it was easy to get a good view of the animals. The park is laid out so that you can get pretty close to all of the animals. The experience itself was very good, with great views of the big cats, from viewing platforms which allow you to take photos avoiding the mesh of the cages. The best bit was the hour and a half tour by Ian the head keeper. We could have listened to him for another couple of hours - so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Tea in the cafe overlooking the tiger enclosure was very pleasant, with a grandstand view of the tigers. We we were well looked after by Kirsty and Sheila - thanks girls!!

Bear in mind that this park is big on conservation, so what you are paying for is not immediately obvious, it is an investment in the future for the animals and us humans.

Paradise Wildlife Park is a good local attraction and has some interesting animals and enclosures. There's a train and soft play ball park so it works best for children of 7 and under I'd say.

Can be expensive but there's regularly Groupons and Facebook discounts so do some research!

We went here on the groupon deal with the marriott hotel.
The guide, Ian, was absolutely fantastic and so knowledgeable. Someone who truly devotes their life to their work! Will answer any question you throw at him and always interesting. Breakfast was nice buffet style. The park itself is clean and well presented with lots to look at and things for small children. Really unique and a great day out

The animals are in tastefully laid out enclosures with, for the most part, plenty of room to run about. They all have detailed descriptions of the animals, there feeding and reproduction habits as well as where they can be found in the wild and their endangered rating. All of the creatures needing shelter from the Great British Weather have bolt holes which are heated, where necessary, and can be viewed from inside - nice if it's a chilly day! The meerkats, for instance, were mostly inside and more active than I've seen them in UK animal collections - those that weren't worshipping the heat-lamp that is :) There isn't a logical route that takes in all of the animals so you need to keep an eye on where you've been and where you want to go.
Aside from the animals, there are any number of play areas for children, including a soft play area (take socks for this) and a splash pool with slide. When we go back with our granddaughters we will have a tough time getting them past all the 'things to do' to get to the animals!
The food in the Tumble Jungle is very good, although a bit pricey so you might want to take a picnic with you - you can get out to your car to collect it if you get your wrist stamped before leaving.
And finally, there is the National Speedway Museum on site - which we didn't see as it was closed for refurbishment, much to my husband's disappointment.

We were lucky enough to be treated to a day at the park which included a session feeding the Red Pandas. We arrived at 10:00am and were given coffee and biscuits and made very welcome by the young lady in the discovery centre. Then the keeper/guide took us to where the food is prepared and explained the dietary requirements of each individual Panda as each had their own feeding bowl, we were then informed of the basic do's and don'ts when entering the enclosure. So off we went into the enclosure to experience a bit of cupboard love as while we had food the Pandas were quite happy to tolerate us, as soon as the food was gone we were of no interest to them and ignored us, still what else do you expect from what are still essentially wild animals. However this did not detract from the experience of a very close encounter with a very beautiful creature whose existence in the wild is not assured. They were very comfortable around us and were very gentle when taking the food from your hand, this would be a really great experience for anyone who loves wildlife.
After leaving the Pandas we wandered around the rest of the park and it has to be said that the variety of exotic species and the ability to see them without bars due to the raised walkways is an experience in itself and makes it well worth a visit. The staff and the animals combined well to make this an experience to remember, our thanks to them all.

My boyfriend and I went with the Groupon half price entry. (I don't think we would've gone if it was full price, bit expensive). Obviously we understand zoos are expensive to run though!

The whole layout was pretty good, lots to see but as someone over the age of 10 or without kids, it can get a bit boring.

The talks and feeds were very interesting and was great to see how well they had trained the white tiger for targeting. huge beautiful creature! Not stressed out or depressed at all, she was even chuffing!

Overall a brilliant day out for families with small children, lots of play parks etc even one specially adapted for disabled guests!

This zoo is not huge but the space is used really well to provide interest and entertainment for all the family.

We do not have kids but i know they have an indoor play area, miniature train and plenty of games and rides for people who do.

Catering is basic fast food type dining but it is quick reasonably and fairly tasty.

Being a zoo though you go for the animals! Other than big animals and great apes they have a little of something for everyone. the collection of big cats is one of the best in the uk and they have a cute tropical house which houses and is surrounded by a variety of small primates amongst other tropical animals.

The gibbons, red pandas, otters, tapir and zebra are also nice to see and you can get fairly close to everything without too much in your way.

For those interested and willing to part with extra cash they also have amongst the most animal experiences in any zoos i have been to.

Certainly worth checking out, if a little pricey.

This is by far the best small zoo i have been to in England. The variety of animals, The condition of the animals and there habitation is wonderful. They have got platforms around almost all the enclosures, so that you can get a good view. All of the enclosures are clean and smell nice There are plenty of eating establishments and picnic areas. Lots of free rides and play areas for the children. Very good toilets. The staff are very helpful. All of the animales you can think of are there. We hade a wonderful time, you will too

We stopped here one weekend several months ago. I think the Park has a lot to offer, but for the younger family. Our children were aged around 13 years and did not find it that appealing. Also as it was heading towards winter, the weather was against us.

My husband and I had booked a big cat breakfast worth £89 per person. This was a bacon roll in the cafe and a 45 minute tour an talk of the big cats. Seriously NOT worth £180 per couple!!

This place is a hidden treasure that most of my friends and family had never heard of! (Should promote themselves more often) It is set In a great location that really does cater to a great extent for children. I did visit without any children, just with my fiancé, but I really enjoyed it. We got there early and were able to walk round the majority of the park without bumping in to many people.
Great selection of animals to get up close and personal with, their enclosures are well maintained too.

My 3 year old loved it and there is loads to look at and everything just about is included in the price.

Great viewing areas and animals look well looked after!

Food good and fresh and not over priced

Will definitely be going back

First of all, the good stuff. The diversity of animals and the manner in which they are kept seemed to be exemplary - really amazing for children to see animals so close up - especially the big cats. It's quite a walk around the whole park, but this didn't seem to bother the children who were constantly spotting interesting things - and as my daughter said, it was much better than London Zoo.

Not sure if I totally agree, but for a good day out at a zoo, this does seem to be one of the better places we've been to.

Now for the bad. The staff in the (single) restaurant. We arrived at around 10.50am, I asked for a bacon sarnie (there's a sign saying they serve breakfast until 11.00am), only to be told that they have stopped serving and were clearing up. Not only were they not prepared to serve me what I wanted........but around 15 mins later, some staff turned up and they were served full breakfasts. Then at around 11.30......same again. Sloppy, rude and disappointing.

One of the girls behind the counter spotted that I had seen this and looked really embarrassed.

Lunchtime was a complete disaster.......the queue for food orders takes around 45 minutes to move through, so be warned.......you'd be far better off bringing your own stuff to eat. It's also really expensive. To say the service is slow would be a gross understatement, although admittedly, the staff all seemed to be kids doing weekend work, except for the manageress, but she moved at the pace of a red footed tortoise.

There are some play areas for kids, including a rather tired 18 hole crazy golf course (which needed a major overhaul) and a play area with a pirate ship to climb on, etc.

Overall value for money is acceptable and the animals are wonderful.

Some people might read this and wonder why I am complaining about sloppy restaurant service at a zoo - simple - when one has just spent approximately £ 65.00 on tickets, around £ 30 on crap food and around £ 30 in the gift shop, I have the right to do so.

Will we be going back ? - not for a long time to come as we'd prefer to go to all the other zoos again first.

We only visited due to the wowcher offer of family ticket and hotel room as we are not local (lancs). Long journey but well worth it to visit this fantastic little place. Feel like you really get really close to the animals and the play areas for the kids were fantastic who had a ball. Really really good day out shame it's such a long way away from us!

We all had a really great time, so many animals and birds all looked very happy and healthy. We pet many animals like the alpacas, zebras, reindeer, emu and the farm animals. Such a variety of big cats all were very close and we got lovely pictures. I like how they had walkways at a height so you can view the animals up close. The Snow leopards were my favourite including the Red panda. The keepers obviously love the animals and are happy to engage with the visitors. I would recommend a whole days visit here. We finished about 5 pm when the park closed. We went home tired but so pleased to have visited this park.

My husband and I went to this zoo last week. It was a with a gift voucher from one of our children. On arrival we thought it was going to be a child's zoo, with lots of sit and ride attractions as well. We realise that all the slot machine rides etc were ways of creating money to cope with the amazing selection of wild animals.

We went principally to see the big cats. Ian our guide was brilliant and had such passion about his job and knew so much, we were shown white tigers, white lions and snow leopards (hardly ever seen in the wild) Amur and Sumatran tigers plus over 400 other animals are kept here. There is also a good breeding programme especially for the species that are now in danger. We ate brunch in the restaurant overlooking the tigers and felt privileged to be there.

This zoo is small but oh so user friendly we loved our day out and would definitely recommend for all ages, thank you Ian our guide you made our day.

Such a cool place to visit, something for the big kid in us all, we had a real fun day out. As a non zoo lover this was a great experience, the animals seem to be very well looked after and the interaction lots of fun. Will defiantly return.

We have been to Paradise Wildlife park 3 times over the summer and each time was fantastic. My grandaughter aged 2.5 loved it. We used Tesco vouchers which made it good value and took a picnic. Plenty of parking. Animals all looked happy. Great play park for the children. Refreshment kiosks at certain points. Viewing windows so that you can get up close to the animals. All in all a great day out and one that I thoroughly recommend. Can't wait to go again in the spring!
