The park is situated a short distance from junction 25 on the M25. I was able to park in the main car park and quickly paid my entrance and was straight into the park. I spent some time with my 3 year old and 1 year old on the free play equipment, there is a large variety to suit all age groups. We took a ride on the train as well. (you pay £1 for this although I would like to see this included in the entrance fee ideally) We then went on to walk around the Zoo. There is a large selection of animals and the kids were not disappointed, they have new treetop walk ways suitable for prams that added to the experience. You can take your own food or buy on site. We took a picnic and i brought the kids a toy in the shop (quite reasonably priced). We watched the bird show, I would like to see more birds and less talking, never the less the kids sat and watched. All in all a good family day out, you could stay there all day. In bad weather they have an indoor soft play area and appear to be adding more outside play attractions that will be completed by the summer.

The park is well sign posted. When you nearer to the park (after leaving A10) just follow the brown signs because sat nav may send you via convoluted routes.

The park can be very crowded during sunny days and school holidays. So, plan to arrive very early so that you spend less time in standing in queue. I visited on a Mothers’ Day when mothers were free! Otherwise, this park is quite expensive to visit with entire family!
The park has 2 main areas – animal park and children’s entertainment park. Toddlers will probably enjoy both parts. So plan your timings accordingly. If traveling with a toddler, at least 3 hours is recommended.

You will have plenty of photo opportunities. But it may depend on your luck. Sometimes animals face away from you which won’t lead to a nice photo. If you have DSLR, definitely carry it preferably with telephoto lens (18-200 mm recommended on crop sensor DSLRs). Camera phones won’t do justice in a wildlife park!

Bring your own food if you have the option.

Toilets could have been cleaner. Signs are not good inside the park.

Recommended but look out for offers so that you don't have to pay full price.

We had a wonderful time in this park. With lions, white tigers, and cheetahs. We even watched the cheetahs being fed. I recommend you visit their web site to check the shows times in order to plan your visit. The food there is very basic like most of the parks. The only problem we encountered was finding our way inside the park as it lacks signs and directions, we spent almost 15 minutes looking for the exit. The map they provided us with was not clear. Other than this it was a beautiful park to spend the day in with the kids.

We got a great deal on a family pass through groupon and having been to a few similar places I thought it would be pretty similar here. However it is way more than just a wildlife park. There is such a huge variety of animals to see and interesting facts about all of them to read.

The catering facilities are excellent although a little expensive. Good quality food though.

The play area is huge and brilliant for the kids.

Would highly recommend.

Passed a good couple of hours here, 3 adults! The park is not too far from where our daughter lives and she fancied giving it a look. Its not cheap but has three pricing levels, so now is cheaper time to go. That is obviously because they use the low season to carry out maintenance or make new attractions. There was some inconvenience because of this but not too much.
The park in the main is very child orientated and I can quite see how you would and could spend a whole day here with a young family. There is a lot to do apart from seeing the animals for the children. That said, we were there for the animals and that we did very well. All enclosures are easily accessible for good viewing and photography. Some enclosure a little on the small side, so just hope they are not loosing sight of the fact they are a wildlife park in favour of more play sites.
Best to visit before or during feeding times as big cats a bit dopey after eating.
Café quite basic and food served in cardboard containers with plastic cutlery.
Very pleasant to walk around but may not be so in school holidays, pick you time well.

This is a great park with very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. We had the great privilege a seeing the largest cat being fed close up and it was amazing. We were here for a private function and had some time to see the rest of the animals in the park, but not enough time to see everything. From what I did see I would definitely recommend it for a day out - especially with children who I think will have a fantastic time.

Anyone keen on viewing/photographing the big cats will almost certainly enjoy Paradise Wildlife Park. There are many varied species on display and the elevated walkways mean you get an unimpeded view - which is rare. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The Park is small which means that all the animals are very accessible, but conservationists may be concerned by the small size of some of the enclosures.
I spent half a day on a Friday and for £8 (Groupon deal) thought the Park represented very good value for money - even though some of its features are rather 'tacky'. Children will have a blast, but I wouldn't dream of visiting on a weekend or school holiday - this would be far from Paradise!...

Am a fairly regular visitor to this park with my 5 year-old and we love it. Each time we're there from opening until closing time and never run out of things to see or do. Visited mostly recently on a beautiful sunny day with my daughter and her best friend and the girls were sad to leave and begged to return again soon. A great mixture of animals (with interesting talks / demonstrations), soft play, picnicking and running about in the playground. Lovely to be able to see the animals up close and staff have always been helpful when my daughter has asked questions about their care / diet / natural habitat etc. Lots of fantastic photos opportunities and each time we visit we try to listen in to a different talk or demonstration so my daughter has learnt a fair bit about care and conservation. I note a few harsh reviews about how busy its been on unusually sunny days but surely crowds are to be expected? I wouldn't head to a theme park / zoo / outdoor entertainment on a rare sunny day as high footfall is likely and queueing of some description is inevitable. I don't think its fair to criticse a venue for closing when its full to capacity as the alternative would be a very unsafe day out where everyone's experience is ruined due to there being no space to move or see / do what you've paid for. It does sound as if parking has been a problem but surely no venue has an infinite number of spaces? Better communication is a must where cars are queued down the road (I appreciate that this is dependent on staff numbers) and I understand that some people have had a frustrating wait but there's always a risk when wanting to spend a day outside in unseasonably warm weather - everyone else has had the same idea! I hope people aren't put off by the bad reviews as it really is a nice day out, particularly for familes with younger children. I see smiling faces in abundance every time I visit.

The kids (3.5yrs and 1yr) thoroughly enjoyed this attraction. March is 'low season' so slightly reduced prices but worth the cost. Under 2's are free. Good variety of animal attractions and a great playground area to expend their remaining energy. Animal feed was £1 a bag and added to the experience. Most food stalls were not open as it was off peak. In the main restaurant we did get cod and chips for £9.40 (in line with expected costs at attractions) and the kids meal deal was a reasonable £5. Both portions were good sizes.
Overall a great afternoon out.

I visited following my stay at the Marriott, I had a marriott voucher and therefore was booked in to have a tour and witness and health check with a tiger - great value. On arrival at the park we were told we were at the wrong place and we need to go to the normal entrance, but there was no one there. I had to then stop another zoo keeper who was heading across the carpark, who kindly offered her help and got us in to the park in time for our tour, which was booked to start before opening time so that we get better view fo the animals. So if it wasn't for a random member of staff that we had to approach, we would have been left outside by ourselves. Not happy. Once we were in and the tour guide came, we were very lucky to be the only one's on the tour! The health check with the beautiful white tiger was absoloutely amazing.. never have I been so close to a white tiger! The other wild cats were also amazing and one thing I did like, was since it was not a huge Zoo and with massive enclosures, you could see the animals quite close. Not my favourite zoo, without the tour and health check I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much, but that made my day and I will treasure the experience. :)

Fantastic day out. Although busy there were no queues or over crowding as feared from reviews of previous wkend. Such a wonderful selection of animals and attractions for kids and picnic areas

The animated park map looks better and exciting then the park its self! Its not a very big place to accommodate the amount people that turned up to face endless queues and overpriced entrance cost

I went to PWP today with my four children aged 5, 6, 8 n 10, my niece 12, nephew 9, mum dad nan etc n I can honestly say it was an amazing day and I strongly recommend goin for a lovely family day out.....the park is clean n tidy with lids on the bins so you don't have flies n wasps everywhere, the staff are friendly n helpfull, the animal talks were fab the toilets were always being cleaned which makes a change at these places!!! PWP is well worth the money and is even better if you can get a deal, the food although we took a picnic was resonably priced and looked yummy, there was something for each off the children to do but don't really think a 15 year old would have fun as there is a few parks which aren't designed for older children. Also because off the parks etc I don't think goin when it's raining would be fun. Overall a really really wonderful day made even more better by the weather!!!

I attended this attraction with my three year old grandson on Friday 14/3/14. This was a term time visit. As such the park was relatively quiet. Having found money off vouchers on line we paid a reduced rate from the norm which is £14 adults £9 children 2-15years. My grandson was given some food for feeding the farm animals on arrival. We went into the park and almost immediately came up on the farm animals which comprised of sheep goats and horses.
Further on I was very pleasantly surprised to find we were within a couple of feet of a multitude of big cats such as lions, tigers, Jaguars and leopards and lots of other exotic animals including the irrepressible meer cats. Although we were within a metre and a half of these animals we were obviously in no danger. It was fantastic. There was a whole host of exotic animals much the same as you wouldfind ina zoo.
There is a small cafe which overlooks the fabulous tiger enclosure. Hot and cold drinks with fresh food on sale.

There are several play areas for children to run and play. Numerous slides and bouncy castles. All in all a reasonably small park but well worth the visit.

After driving around looking for something to do on a Sunday my boyfriend suggested coming here. We was a little anxious on entering as looked a bit like a place for kids, which it is great for. But as a couple thought we might be a but too old for, and we really wasn't! For the price I can't believe the different species of animal on offer at this zoo, the cat family was vert impressive ranging from the big beasts to the smaller more nibble ones, was very impressed!

we visited paradise wildlife park on 9th March along with everyone else it seemed. we were frustrated initially sitting in a hour long que in the car on the road leading in due to the shear volume of people visiting & the odd idiot holding up the traffic. we were shouted at a few times by various people telling everyone the park was closed & therefore they had turned round to leave but we had booked an experience so persevered. As we came close to the entrance the manager of the park was out apologising to people for the delays & lack of parking which they obviously couldn't help due to the amount of people choosing to visit at once. when we finally reached the park we explained we had a experience booked & we were found a place to park straight away.
the park is small but fantastic. yes you had crowds to contend with but again not the parks fault. we actually didnt make it to see everything as our tiger tea lasted 2 hours so took up most of the afternoon but it was well worth every second. the guide Ian was amazing his knowledge & enthusiasm for his job was evident & the tour was fantastic due to this. we got really close to the lions too for fabulous pictures. I cant thank Ian enough for hosting the tour it made our day & his passion for his cats was well appriciated. he certainly has the most amazing job.
we ate in the tree tops resturaunt a lovely tea put on by the very helpful & friendly staff. great end to the day & really tasty sandwiches & cake. well worth every penny.
everyone at the zoo was friendly & were doing their best to cope with the crowds. will defiantly return & would reccomend it to anyone for an amazing experience.

Visited today, groupon offer and the highly publicised hottest day of the year cause huge crowds to descend upon PWP.

We hit our first queue half a mile from the entrance, little did we realise it would be well over an hour before we got into the park, not ideal with a hungry toddler in the car! We eventually parked up and got in to one queue, after a while we overheard someone being directed to a prepay queue, we had groupon tickets on my iPhone so asked the steward if we could join that queue too and was told yes, frustratingly we got to the front of that queue only to be told that they didn't accept phone vouchers and to join another line!!! By this time we had realised they had closed the park to anymore cars, they were at capacity by 12pm!

They were ill equipped to deal with the crowds, a few well placed stewards could have really helped things run smoother in the car park and at the entrance queues.

We spent a lot of time staring at the backs of people as we maneuvered around the park, the animals enclosures so seem small and we had to queue to get to the front to see any animals, we got around the animal park quite quickly.

It was warm and we were thirsty, we struggled to find anywhere to get a drink! The souvenir shop doesn't sell any and all the refreshment cabins were closed!? (annoying when later we saw three staff get on the stage by the train ride and dance for the crowds, surely it would have been better to spare those staff to man some refreshment kiosks!?) We finally found a vending machine and for £1.70 bought the last bottle of lemonade, in fact that was the last bottle of anything in that machine!

We went to the play park and it looked great loads to go on, but this is where we came across the biggest crowds and so our 22 month old was barged and pushed in front of by bigger kids on most things, so not enjoyable.

We went to find the woodland train, queued for the best part of an hour, the same person who sells the tickets, checks the train is full, checks the safety chains are secure, sorts any general problems is also the person who also drives the train! Just one man operating the whole thing, so it took ages to wait for a five minute lap of the woods! Annoyingly, whilst waiting, we were next and a whole bunch of kids (presumably a birthday party) got to jump the queue ahead of us! We left after the train ride.

Our son seemed to have a good day, but we were peeved at quite a few things, so it spoilt the day. We only got to sample a few things there because of the huge crowds and that really hampered our enjoyment of PWP.

Arranged a Big Cat Feeding experience for my partners 40th birthday. It was a 400 mile trip and had lots of correspondence by email and everyone was always so helpful. Was unsure what to expect when we arrived but loved the park. All the staff were so friendly and there was plenty of seats and undercover areas although it was a lovely sunny day when we visited.

We were amazed at how close you get to the animals. The cheetahs came right up to the glass while we were watching them. We stayed till 5pm to watch the lions being fed..... I'm a bit too squeamish for that!

When it came to the actual experience we were met by Steve the keeper who was so friendly and full of information about the animals. He put my partner at ease and was so kind making sure we got great angles for photos. It was an amazing experience.

We are already planning our next trip! Loved it!

Came here for a family day out in the half term holiday with three of my children, parents, brother and his family. We loved it! Its a smaller wildlife park but so well set out and lots of different elements to it. Entry to the park is very reasonable, on one side you have lots of play areas for children young and old, bouncy castles, woodland walks and even an entertainment stage in the middle. On the other side is the animals, birds, lions, tigers (all that can be viewed on platforms above so you really get to see the animals properly) zebras, reptiles, petting animals (my four year old loved the rabbits) and the cutest family of otters ever! Lots of toilets all over the park all with children and baby facilities which is always a plus. We had lunch in the restaurant, a bit of a wait but they were very busy, meals were a bit pricy but tasted really nice. Will be coming back here again in the summer and i imagine many more times in the future.

took the hole family there, would recommend it to anyone not to big plenty for the tots to do.lots of places to sit and have something to eat the staff were all very friendly and helpful .
but the main reason we liked it so much was how close we were to the animals.

Nice little park . I thought the £8.00 for our two year old grandson cheeky , especially as there were many static sit on rides for £1.00 which actually made him the most expensive in our group.
Train ride through the dinosaur park was good but short. That's another £1.00 each. .There were two different prices for tea and coffee in the two cafe's we visited. !
I will never understand price structures. £8.00 for a senior and our daughter £13.00.. We all use the same facilities. Mr. Grumpy telling us about the chetah's. Children make a noise and there is not much you can do about that.
We enjoyed our time there. It's well laid out with a free bouncy castle and other swings , slides, and the pirate ship.

Made our first ever visit today and we were not disappointed! My husband had been given a 'Feed the Meerkats' experience for his birthday and it was everything we expected and more! Eight of us went along, all adults, and on arriving we spent an hour or so looking at the big cats before checking in for the treat. When we got to the centre we were met by a park representative who welcomed us with hot chocolate, coffee and biscuits, a t/shirt and certificate for hubby before being led off for the Meerkat encounter. Our keeper took all of us to the enclosure and allowed us to watch while hubby fed, cuddled and had meerkats jumping over him! Fantastic! We took a picnic but there were places to eat and reasonable too. Plenty to see and do for adults and children. Animals were kept in clean conditions and plenty of keepers around who I have to say were very pleasant and welcoming.
We had a great day out and are looking to go again for our daughter's 30th birthday, as she would like to shadow a keeper for the day!

Now I normally have a negative when writing reviews and this is my one for Paradise - car parking!!! The spaces are very tight and in my opinion, if you have a car bigger than a Fiesta, then you would have more than filled the gap! When you have a full car park, it is difficult to get out!

Nice little park and zoo nestle north of London. Staff friendly and kind. Exhibits nicely laid out, easy to navigate around the park. Well suited for families with young children with a good sized park area. I did like the several areas they had sectioned off for picnics, and some were covered.

Have just enjoyed a good day out at Paradise Wildlife Park. While smaller than a lot of zoos, there is plenty to see and we, as a party of 4 adults found enough to occupy ourselves for about 6 hours. The enclosures are well designed and give a good view of the animals. If you are around at feeding times, the keepers give interesting and informed commentary about the animals, and answer any questions you may have. We ate at the park and found the food to be surprisingly good and reasonably priced, although getting a table wasn't easy as it was very busy and too cold to eat outdoors. There are lots of play areas and activities aimed at children up to the age of about 10, but nothing specifically to appeal to teenagers. We saw several people undertaking "zoo Experiences" and these looked great fun, particularly feeding the meerkats who were climbing all over their amateur helpers. I would definitely consider returning to do that.

Paradise Wildlife Park is excellent for kids (3 to 10 years old), it could be a bit boring for teens, and dreadful for adults if you are not interested in animals. The adventure park area is mainly for kids, there's nothing there for teens. For adults and teens the Animal Park is quite interesting and if you are into animals you might have a nice day out. Maybe the summer is the best time to visit it as in February the staff was struggling to cope with the amount of people as not all the restaurants or stands are open.
