Got a deal from buyagift.com £12 for an adult rather than £17, so was very happy with entry price. Watched a bird show which I found very informative and interesting. Keepers were enthusiastic and helpful.noticed a few animals were missing which was a little dissapointing as wanted to see snow leopard and white tiger. However park was a decent size, not too big. Saw a few animals I hadn't seen before. Was a fun day out enjoyed it.

Had a Tiger Brunch gift for christmas. Was a fantastic day with a great guide who took us around the big cats explaining the conservation work and breeding programmes. Brunch was cold meats, cheese's, pastries, tea coffee etc. The park itself is just the right size for a day out as you leave knowing you've seen everything you want to see. Great for kids to as there's loads of activities for them to take part in.

Paradise Wildlife Park is a small zoo and breeding centre in Broxbourne Woods. The animal care is of a very good standard and the keepers do talks throughout the day which are informative and knowledgeable. Some of the enclosures are in the process of being refurbished so it doesn't look all that pretty at the moment. There are lots of options regarding special days where you can feed the animals and be a keeper for the day. Entry isn't cheap (£16 for an adult) and the experience days are quite pricey but the look on the people's faces that were doing them were priceless It's not massive but photography opportunities are good with viewing platforms at the Big Cat enclosures. They also have a new White Lion cub and being there for feeding is fascinating (if a bit gruesome). The reptile house is a bit low on exhibits and the penguin enclosure smelt stronger than I remember previously
There are also extensive play facilities for Children and you can move back and forwards between the animals and the play facilities to keep children interested.
My main gripe would be the catering facilities- there is a tree tops café which overlooks one of the enclosures but it was closed for a private function and the only kiosk with some seating closed at 3 (although the book said 4) and there was no-where to sit inside if it had been raining.
I was able to get great photos (my main purpose in going) but needs some more thought for adults

If you like big cats this is the wildlife park to vist it has allso got other animals but cats seem to be its main thing. The park has got white tigers & white lions with a cub its only a few months old born in jan13 i think so its still small & staying with its mother. The park has allso got meerkats, monkeys, zebra, camals, reptiles, otters, birds of prey 7 a few other animals. The park gives talks about the animals dueing the day. There is a play area for the children with a train & cart rides. There is a restrant plus tea & snack huts round the park plus a gift shop selling all sorts of things.

My husband and I took the lemur experience at Paradise Wildlife Park, and we were greeted warmly by staff at the Discovery Centre before being taken to the lemur enclosure. There we spent a delightful half hour with the ringtailed lemurs and their keeper, Daisy, who answered our questions and took photos for us.
After a delicious lunch in the Tiger Treetops cafe, we looked around the zoo - the snow leopards, cheetahs and white lions (especially the cub) were beautiful. We loved the otters and red pandas too. We watched an excellent flying display by owls, parrots and hawks and then paid £1 to feed nectar to lorikeets - a really enjoyable experience. It was fascinating to see the length of their tongues as they probed the cups of nectar, and the beautiful birds landed on our arms, hands and heads.
Other animals to see include zebras, camels, alpacas, meercats, reptiles, penguins, parrots, ocelots, monkeys, tapirs, various farm animals and a rabbit village!
I notice that some reviewers state that the zoo is so small that it's not worth spending all day there, but if you go to a zoo to watch the animals, you can spend a long while in front of each enclosure (especially if you are trying to photograph the animals too). I think you need several hours there if you want to enjoy everything without feeling rushed.
All the staff were friendly and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facilties.

My husband and I took my cousin here today for a bit of a change as we usually go to Colchester zoo. Lets just say firstly I am glad I did not pay the £45 that it would have cost us to get in thanks to them excepting clubcard vouchers! As you walk in there are lots of rides and amusements all of which you have to pay extra for not great when you have children I can imagine! They do have some beautiful animals such as white tiger and lions but none of the cages were that spectacular! I think lunch was prob the highlight of the day when we ate in the diner good value! Definitely would not be a full day out. Shame.

I love Groupon and I am always checking it to see if I can find something new and interesting to do.

I have never been to this kind of park since I moved to London so I jumped on the occasion when I saw the offer on Groupon. I bought two tickets so my sister and I could have a day out together.

It is very easy to get there without any car, just take the train from Liverpool station until Broxbourne. Once there, you can ask at the desk to call the park so they can send the bus to collect you.

Bad luck for us, as we choose to go there a Sunday, the desk was closed. We managed the find the park telephone number on our smartphone and after an awful wait I have got someone on the line to tell her we were at the station.

The par is fine, but I wouldn´t call it a wildlife par, more a farm with a few wild animals too.
Don´t get me wrong, we had fun and had a good day, but I don´t think this park is designed for just two adults, more for parents with kids.

In general all the animals seemed to be in god health apart for two.

First at all I think one of the zebra really could do with a hooves trim, they were awfully long and in bad shape. If they can´t pace around enough to do it naturally, the park should hire someone to keep an eye on it.

The second ones were the otters; the poor things were swimming in a very very grim green water, so thick you couldn´t see anything through it and smelt very bad. Their skins didn´t seem very healthy, with spot of angry red on their paws and faces.

The rest of the animals were in good shape, happy to be fed by the people and napping under the sun.

In general we had a good time under the lovely sun and watching a few animals. We just stayed a few hours as the park doesn´t offer much things for adults without kids.

We took the bus back to the station (every quarter to and quarter after) and back to London!

This was the most magical park/ zoo I ave ever been too. The animals were so well looked after, the zoo keeper that took us around(Arron) was so passionate about the Zoo and the care of the animals, it was a delight. My grandson of 8 & 4 ave not stopped talking about the wonderful day we had. Thank you so very much.

Just came back after spending a fantastic day at Paradise wildlife park with two young kids of 3.5 and 10 months old. It was just perfect for them loads of animals and quite a few play areas from Sand, to blocks, to train ride and soft play areas as well. Good informative shows every hour, where you can sit and get entertained. Not a huge park either which is good with little kids as you don't need to walk long to see animals. Just brilliant!

Had a fantastic day here shadowing big cat keeper Steve. I got very close to Baikal the 2 year old white tiger and got to feed Rocky the 15 year old tiger by hand!
My daughters got quite close too and they can't stop talking about it!
Steve took us down to see the lions and the cheetahs before I git involved again with feeding the ocelot, the very feisty leopard (there were a lot of very noisy school groups who turned up about then) and the beautiful snow leopard.
To top it all off Steve then took me down to meet the 2 wolves... stroking the belly and ears of a wolf was amazing but I no longer think of them as just wild versions of the German Shepherds I grew up with!
Passionate and knowledgeable staff made this a fascinating day for the whole family, I thoroughly recommend it; thank you once again Steve!

I spent the day at Paradise Wildlife Park today and shadowed a big cat keeper. This was amazing, all the team were knowledgeable and dedicated to the cats. Fantastic experience, keep up the great work. Steve, Cassi and Ricky were all clearly dedicated to the park and the animals.

We visited the park on a Sunday around 11am and there was loads of parking and no queue at the payment kiosk. We paid with Clubcard reward tokens and there were no clauses or restrictions like some places so we got a family of four in for only £15 in Clubcard points which was good value.
There was a good variety of animals to see who all seemed happy and healthy and the zookeepers all really seemed to really care about the animals which was good.
All the staff were friendly and helpful and not the usual grumpy hungover students you get at most theme parks.
There were a good range of talks and shows throughout the day, the highlight for our kids being the Camp Orange show featuring Jamie and Anna who also used to host Toonatik on ITV
After that the splash pool provided more fun for them (hint:take swimming trunks for the kids!!!)

Only negative points some of the activities were a bit expensive (£2 to find "gems" in some sand) and it was £3.50 for a hotdog that costs 59p in IKEA but if you take a picnic that shouldn't be an issue.
Normal price for a 2+2 family is £62,

Overall I would highly recommend this park.

We picked the perfect day, fine weather and the animals were out enjoying it too.

Easy close parking and short cue, Restaurant wasn't over priced, we were content, the animals seemed content - what more could we want?

After visiting this attraction yesterday I still cannot get the distressing sight of an owl desperate to fly but not having space to do so out of my head. The focus should be more on the welfare of the animals and less on amusements. I wish I'd read reviews before visiting as I would not have taken my family. Even my five year old said that the snow leopards "didn't have much room" This added to the bats in the walk through enclosure having nowhere dark to hide and again a ridiculously small space to fly in. To sum it up enclosures far too small, not a good place to teach children how animals should be cared for, at times there was an overwhelming smell of urine on what was not a hot day. If you are an animal lover avoid as it will haunt you.

We visited as a family with our daughter, son in law and two grandsons (aged one and three) and had a great day out. We arrived as the park was opening and this was a good move as the queue was small and we were able to park near the entrance. The facilities were very good with places to buy drinks, ices etc and a not expensive restaurant with plenty of outside tables. The weather coulkdn't have been better as it was sunny and warm all day. Our elder grandson had a wonderful time in the play parks and slides. The animals were really amazing with a variety that you usually only see in a much larger zoo, althought the pens were large and the animals looked perfectly contented. The range of animals was surprising with Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Camels, Penquins,Reptiles and of course Meerkats. For a family day out this takes some beating.

Paradise wildlife Park

31st May 2013, I have just returned from a very good day out at the Paradise wildlife Park, my first time there. Before I went I checked on Tip Advisor to see what people said I always read the terrible or poor comments first. There was a lot of comments about how small a cage the large Cats were being kept in, I love cats any shape any size so I was very concerned. All I can say is that these people are absolute morons. I went first to see the African white lions there are four, a male two female and a cub. You get to see their indoors cage which is the size of a bedroom, but it is attached to their enclose which is bigger than at London Zoo, but of course a lot smaller than a Safari Park like Longleaf. All I can conclude is that these people did not walk out of that building and around to see the large enclose for these animals, there is a lot of things in the enclose with a lot of different surface area going up horizontally which, give the cats a lot of things to do which is of course relaxing and sleeping. All the enclose are a appropriate size for the animal that it enclose. Although some of the cages look empty with patience and diligence you actually do see the animals that are in them. I would say that this park is set up for families with young children it definitely concentration on the children, and that they are having fun. If you are on a budget I would recommend you take a pack lunch. There are a lot of places to sit down and eat that are not restricted to only people buying food from the park. In fact I only saw one area that had a sign saying this and it was tiny. The most expensive dish I saw was £7.95 and you can get burgers and hotdogs. So yes a great day out.

We were bought a present of a monkey tour and meet the Lemurs. The park is quite small and we easily covered it from opening time at 9.30 until 12.15 when we had to meet. The children loved being able to see the animals close up and the monkey tour was great. Meeting and feeding the lemurs was a particular highlight. I think this is a great zoo particularly for younger children. Understand the problem about queuing if you already have a ticket but not impressed by the comment about not parking onsite when arriving at lunchtime. The same with any attraction if you go half way through the day it will be busy. If you want nearby parking go early!
Definitely recommended for friendly passionate staff and close up animal viewing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, we took our one year old son for the first time to a zoo. Had to queue for tickets so best really to buy online beforehand, also one pound cheaper online! Great to see some big cats, very impressive. All looked very well groomed and cared for as well as content. Nice to see some different animals such as the Red Panda and Zebra. We were really pleased to see The Panda Bear so close up, it also caused a bit of a stir, sitting eating bamboo and then when he got up we realised it was somebody dressed up as a Panda!!!
Our son really liked the white tiger and the birds of prey. Lots of nice seating areas so handy to take a picnic to avoid queues and any extra expense. Good toilet facilities, was impressed to see a built in trainer seat in the ladies toilets, very handy for small children. Signs were not that clear for getting around the Zoo, unlike at other zoos. However, on arrival at the zoo there were lots of attendants to assist with parking. There are also lots of play areas for children with slides, bouncy castles and things to do. Overall a great day and will definitely go again.

We went today 31/05/13 it was very good loved the animals but the organisation for parking needs sorting out wasn,'t impressed also the food available on site is very limited and the quality very average .Amenities for children of all ages was catered for very well in fact it was a children's paradise.

Went with my family to this place on bank holiday Monday. Because of the good weather it was mobbed with queues to get in and to get something to eat. Would recommend buying your tickets on line, as we did, as we were able to go straight through. Tickets are not cheap - £16 for adults and £13 for seniors. Would recommend taking a map when you go in and checking the times of the animals being fed as it is very interesting to watch especially the penguins and the red Pandas who are extremely cute. There are playgrounds and rides for the little ones and even a few areas where you can picnic. Had a really lovely day and would recommend a visit.

Visited for first time and really impressed with the selection of animals and use of the size of space available. Hearing about the cheetah programme and the interactions with keepers was fascinating. Our party was made up of 2 wheelchair users and access was really good except for getting in cafe as doorway entrance bit tricky! Bit more signage to ramps would have helped but actual ramp areas were brilliant once there.

Great atmosphere and highly recommended for families and lots of picnic areas. Speedway museum was an added bonus. Looking forward to going back for a friends wedding next year as will be a fab venue.

Initially we were a little put off by how small it looked when we looked at its map and thought that it was over priced. We were pleasantly surprised and found that the raised walkways gave you a great view of the animals. We walked round a couple of times and really enjoyed ourselves. There are plenty to do for little ones as there is a great play area with bouncy castle, a large slide for those over 1 metre to test their nerve and the staff were really friendly through out the park.
There are lots of big cats there including white tigers, lions and currently a white lion cub. They have plenty of shows and talks to keep occupied throughout the day.
