an amazing zoo that really cares for the animals, focused on the animal conservation more than publicity which is great! would love to return - especially to see the orangutangsVisited on

Had a great day at the Zoo. Loved that the animals enclosures were large (even if that meant they were difficult to spot) so they had a lot of nature to roam in. Great to learn about the different animals and their habits. Viewing the gorillas was quite tricky as the wall is so high so this might be a challenge for children. I saw one boy climbing up on the wall before his parents pulled him back. Maybe some perspex would be good at a lower height so shorter people can see. Great food in the cafe too. Definitely recommended.

A must do visit for the mrs cos she liked the Durrells. Dont know if it was the weather, it was warm or the time but had to search for most species. Our companion needed a wheelchair but they only had push chairs and its hilly in places and bumpy. So book an electric one in advance. I pushed it round and was rather damp at the end.
4 stars might be a stretch but the Mrs insisted.

We were disappointed that such a famous zoo had so few animals to actually see. We realise that animals like to shelter and sleep, but the enclosures are so big and leafy that it is hard to spot anything unless it is indoors.Visited on

The zoo has a wide range of animals, with a couple of cafés and zoo keepers dotted around. There are a few opportunities to see zoo keepers do talks and guides on the different animals. One or two of the animals also have a food dispensary place where you can leave money and take food to give to them. There are also experiences you can have with the animals where you get to be in closer quarters with them and in some get to feed ones you otherwise don't get the chance to.

You need to time your visit as, many animals in enclosures or hiding from the sun in hot weather. Good facilities and large, well adapted enclosures, educational and many endangered species.Visited on

The jersey zoo is a must to visit with a lot of endangered species of animals the zoo specialises in breeding these animals with a view to returning them to the wild in areas around the world if habitat is viable as we have lost many areas of rainforest where these animals would have normal lives the zoo is educational and tries to give insight into environmental concerns the zoo has membership schemes that can give you cheaper access to the zoo or even free also the cost of entry to the zoo is OK as it helps support the animals in the breeding program and also the research of endangered animals around the word to benefit future generations

On another day we would have seen a lot more of the animals, due to the heat they were all keeping in the shade. Apart from that a nice zoo to walk around with plenty to see. Cafe and restrooms available.Visited on

Loved it. Enjoyed all. Only criticism is that it looks overgrown. I appreciate its rewilding and reinvigorating the environment, but some nettles and brambles were encroaching on the paths. Bad for little people. Cafe nice but it looks like a school canteen!Visited on

We had a lovely day at this zoo! Really cute little zoo, small so will only take you about 3-4hours to properly look around it. Would have been nice to see some lions or tigers. They were doing a lot of building work of new enclosures or something?

Well worth a visit, this is a well run Zoo and conservation program. Easy to reach via the local bus service, you also get a look round the island. Highly recommended.
