Beautiful and stunning ! We always have a lovely time when attending events here and I would recommend Christmas time to all. It can get extremely busy during events so I would suggest selecting time slots from 9pm onwards if you prefer a more leisurely experience. Litchfield itself is a fantastic city ..lovely and clean with lots of great shops and history! There are a few car parks near but the one that's closest has limited spaces. All local council car parks are just £1 all day on Sunday. Short stays during the week are from £2.10 to £4.30 for all day. One thing I would say about this catherdral is that the events are for all not just the religious.

Again. Only walked past the Cathedral - as we do every day - on our way to Stowe pool for a bit of wildlife feeding....

Always takes my breath away when I see the cathedral. Fabulous architecture inside and out. Wheelchair accessible. Brilliant day out. You can't help but feel uplifted or moved at the atmosphere inside the cathedral.

Attended the Lichfield Cathedral Illuminations for the first time. What a spectacular event both outside and inside the Cathedral. Thankfully the weather was good so we got the full benefit of the 15 mins light show on the exterior of the building. I wasn't expecting there to be anything special inside but there was a fabulous cloud of doves of peace made by local school children and lit with changing lights. Along the outer aisles was the Christmas tree walk - dozens of decorated trees sponsored by local groups and businesses. The alter was lit with light changing patterns of stars. Awe- inspiring.

Beautiful church and helpful guide.
Ongoing repair work meant lots of scaffolding in places, plus noise which played havoc with my hearing aids.
The large computer screens scattered around where very informative.

Beautiful architecture, dedicated to saint Chad. Medieval in construction however the cathedral was decimated during the English civil war due to its highly defensible location in the close. It's the only cathedral in England to have 3 remaining spires and can be seen from all over the city. Is well worth a visit and is a wonderful day out! Nearby is the pool which is overlooked by the cathedral and makes a great place for a picnic. Definitely worth a visit and full of history! There are a few pieces collected from the Staffordshire hoard on display which was an interesting surprise also.

I love Lichfield in general but this cathedral is such a beautiful place. My fiancé and I took our son in to look around and to light a candle. The staff are helpful and there are plenty of leaflets about the local area and things to do.

History of the cathedral well-presented inside it and in the area just outside that saw the battling between Royalists and Parliamentarians.

If you go to the service you don't have to pay. You get to hear the mass and see the church inside.. beautiful place for sure not just the church but the town festival. Go and see it for yourself.
