Beautiful cathedral that towers above the skyline of quaint Lichfield.
The detail on the outside is amazing and the stain glass windows on the inside are equally stunning!
A must see if in Lichfield :)

The must see building in Lichfield. On our visit volunteers were preparing for “Messy Church”. The information boards are very good and the displays in the Chapter House fantastic

Impressive and historic! I often visit the little chapel on the name of St. Chad which is 'hidden' at the very back of the church. Once a year an Orthodox Christian Liturgy takes place to honour and celebrate the nameday of the local Saint who established the Christian church in the Midlands. The first "Baptistirion" of the county can be visited, a few yardrs behind the cathedral. Very good visit overall, no matter how many times you go!

This is a working cathedral for the faithful, especially Anglicans, but also the wider community - their exhibitions and light shows attract a very wide audience and are outstanding.

The Stations of the Cross exhibition of paintings by Peter Walker was well presented with just the right amount of comment to enable reflection. The Cathedral was welcoming and sensitively run.
It is well worth a visit this Lent.
Just one warning. The Bird Street car park, which is the nearest, is busy, inexpensive and has toilets, but needs maintenance because some of the pay and display machines were faulty. I note that others have commented on this car park.

Awe inspiring gothic cathedral, soaring architecture, every surface, inside and out, intricately decorated. Built to the glory of God and a must visit for everyone else passing near Lichfield. Set in a beautiful quiet close and near to the houses of Erasmus Darwin and Samuel Johnson, great minds who changed the world!
