If you haven’t been then you should. It’s a magical place. So much history and very emotional.
We went for Carol service and didn’t disappoint.

We visited the event on Thursday. It was well organised and the staff were polite and helpful. The cathedral looked beautiful and the show was amazing. Inside the cathedral felt peaceful and Christmassy with the trees and other displays. I will definitely be returning next year.

Took a chance on a day out in Lichfield, and discovered Staffordshire's jewel, the old town gives the city character, from early Tudor days through to the prosperity of its Georgian hay-day, walking ye olde streets and alleyways.

The cathedral is 3 minutes walk from the centre and provides a quiet space to escape the bustling shoppers. Grand gothic spires and buttresses conceal st. Chads spiritual home.

Take time to sit beneath the vaulting arches and think on the thousands who have worked to create and preserve this lofty tabernacle of stone and calm.

As a local, I often forget about the cathedral which sounds a little ridiculous given the size of it but it's an amazing piece of architecture and highly recommended for anyone who hasn't been.

There is a cost to look around inside but it is a meagre amount (around £10) if you're into looking at architecture and like historic locations.

A beautiful centrepiece to the place I now call home after moving here from Birmingham in the late 90s.

Visited for the illuminations. It was amazingly beautiful & felt really magical. Saw large queue at allocated time, but was so well organized and quickly went through. What we really liked was we were not rushed in any way. In fact, we were told we could watch the main show at the front if the cathedral again. Would recommend 100% to anyone and can't wait till next year

The cathedral is surrounded by a light and sound show. The cathedral is amazing in the dark with a 20 minute light show. Inside the cathedral there are more light shows a long with displays and a Christmas tree walk through. The organisation was perfect. If you have missed it this year don't miss it next year. Whether you are religious or not you will enjoy the visit. It is for all ages. There is no rush once you are in you can take your time. It does have time slots of every fifteen minutes. You can arrive at the time allotted and you will only have to wait a few minutes before you can go in.

It is an enormous pointy thing in the centre of the city. Free entry but donation encouraged. Shame that it no longer has the head of St Chad, but that is really the kill joy puritans fault not the current lot

Attended the Lichfield Cathedral Illuminations for the first time. What a spectacular event both outside and inside the Cathedral. Thankfully the weather was good so we got the full benefit of the 15 mins light show on the exterior of the building. I wasn't expecting there to be anything special inside but there was a fabulous cloud of doves of peace made by local school children and lit with changing lights. Along the outer aisles was the Christmas tree walk - dozens of decorated trees sponsored by local groups and businesses. The alter was lit with light changing patterns of stars. Awe- inspiring.

Belíssima! Imperdível, toda trabalhada com anjos esculpidos em todas a sua extensão, e uma capela toda trabalhada em alto relevo.

We booked an early ticket. Teaming rain wet us. but it was worth getting wet for.
Huge kaleidoscope projections with Nativity Story and Peace messages were seen.
Inside were more lights, a ceiling of 40000 doves with a twin walk of beautiful Christmas trees, Nativity and a stunning illuminated apse.
Everyone was helpful, warm and friendly, even in dreadful weather.
I bought a keepsake tree decoration. I’d go again.
