Went to see Meatloaf tribute band, cathedral beautiful as always band terrible. Could not differentiate between screeching and words. Acoustics were awful and songs ruined.

A great venue for a superb tribute band. The only downside was the toilets in another venue and they were disgusting and you needed wellies to walk in.

My brother and I had a tour with Graham that was excellent. Very informative and thoroughly enjoyable. It was a Tuesday afternoon so the Cathedral was quiet, which added to experience.Visited on

Attended the Meatloaf by Candle light concert on Friday evening. Amazing and emotional experience enjoying powerful, passionate yet tender singing with superb musicians in this stunning Cathedral. Dissapointed that once the show started you couldn`t see a candle. However, it was an awesome experience. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for a great evening.

It is a fantastic building inside and out. It's free to go in, but a donation is always welcome. Guide books avadible to help you explore, and the staff are more than happy to help or just have a friendly chat. Nice little shop with a few bits in, and they have a few events on to look out for. Will be back to do a tower tour when they run again

Fantastic old English church, with over 1300 years of history. Really a gem frozen in time. The nave is architecturally beautiful with a space that just seems to go on. The organ console (where the organist plays) is actually up in the second story in the nave. Must see when you pass though town. Exterior of the cathedral is weathered sandstone having many exquisite carvings and statues. Even the much younger (relatively speaking) Wooden Close building dates back to the early 1500s.

What a beutiful church, what enormous architecture, will fall in love in just one lool, just standing infront of the church and looking at sky or time lapse illusiion such a beauty, we got lucky to see the exhibition and indoor bbc concert which we didnt had ticket but they allowed all the visitors to walk past to visit the church,i will chersih those moments of divinity and musical ambience forever, And i must say quite a curious thing for me was the Erasmus Darwin museuem just opposite to the church door.. We visited that as well such lovely place and staffg, must see...♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
