One of the most iconic architecture I have seen in UK cathedrals. Amazing design both externally with epic details, and inside with grand design with high ceilings, stunning stain glass windows, art, sculptures and more. A very peaceful and well-maintained worship place to visit and a highly recommended experience. A must visit place.

I am totally shocked that you turning the Cathedral into an ale House. Lovely cathedral with tributes by candlelight.. but having licensed bar is not right this is encouraging drunken people on quiet area never heard anything so ridiculous can't anywhere have any entertainment without drinking shocked at this

I was only in Lichfield a few hours and came across the cathedral by chance. What a gem to behold! Religion aside (not for me), this is a stunning cathedral with outstanding, intricate architecture. Inside it is beautiful. Huge ceilings, statues, carved wooden pews etc. It is free admission but they recommend a donation. £5 well spent to keep this amazing piece of history maintained. I spent an hour last n here just absorbing the history and splendour, but could’ve spent two hours quite happily!

Interesting mediaeval cathedral. The only mediaeval cathedral to have 3 spires. Unique architecture and a splendid structure.

Visiting for a second time after some years the Cathedral is still a beautiful and almost magical place with great stained glass, a colourful history, and secrets yet to be uncovered. The recent contruction of a stone dais that can be raised and lowered meant a thorough examination of the deeper foundations with the exciting discovery of remains that could actually be those of St Chad. Our splendid guide, Neil, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He really brought the cathedral into a very special focus for us, especially when he pointed out some of its quirks that we may never have noticed for ourselves.
As well as doing the guided tour it is also worth going there for the daily music at 11.30am, just to sit quietly and absorb the calming atmosphere.

Interesting, friendly , but not pushy staff. Liked the fake beach outside for kids! The £2 guide book isn't much use, very short, and many areas left me wondering what was there as not much explanation/ signage. BUT- it's an awe-inspiring space. Great that it's free entry still, so you can contribute, and buy stuff from the shop as we did. Definitely worth a visit, the whole space around the cathedral is lovely. I've recently visited Norwich and Lincoln cathedrals, I think Litchfield is as beautiful and has some fantastic medieval features ( paintings as well as the architecture and really ancient relics on display) but Lichfield is quieter and a much easier, more picturesque place to visit! Parking in town very easy and cheap. If you are near here you should definitely visit the town and cathedral.
