First time there, epic building. Spent ages just taking the stunning architecture and the statues adorning the exterior of the cathedral. Inside was just as incredible, will definitely be going back soon.

What a fascinating cathedral! Much to see in terms of ancient architecture and history. Friendly staff and volunteers. A display of contemporary glass painting was most interesting and I would have bought some if I'd had £000s spare! The city itself is picturesque with lots of old buildings, museums, parks, pubs and restaurants. I had come with a visiting choir (Erleigh Cantors) to sing services that weekend. I would hsppily return to explore in more depth.

Well worth a visit and the external architecture is incredible.
We were asked to make a donation as we entered. Maybe there would be a better way to approach people in an historic place of worship.

Great to hear the Welsh orchestra playing. Never heard of Litchfield gospel before, not sure about this, but a lovely place for a visit

Great tour, knowledgable guides, beautiful views. We went up beautiful spiral staircases, through narrow hidden openings into the roof space of the cathedral . We saw hidden windows and views over Lichfield and learnt a lot about the history. Good tour, would recommend to most people as long as you are ok with heights and not too big to fit through the openings which I think are fine for most, even if you have a few extra stone. Tour wasn’t religious at all and anyone can book through their website. Cafe opposite was a bit slow so would avoid that so you don’t miss the tour. Cost £10 and was well worth the money. prices may change by the time you read this.

This was a brilliant tour, got to climb up a normally locked staircase and go up into the rafters and then outside to see views of the city. John and Graham were great guides. Good value too for the length of the tour

Loved my time at Lichfield Cathedral its even free to get in which was very surprising. The outside looks magnificent even with the restoration going on but the inside is even better. There are volunteers inside who will take you round if you want and talk about the Cathedral but I just went round on my own. It's easily accessible to all people so well worth a visit.
