Amazing building. Full of really nice artefacts. Extremely photogenic. Exterior is somewhat overwhelming. You must see the tomb of the sleeping sisters. It is just so emotive, yet a beautiful piece of sculpture.

Amazing cathedral. We went to sung evensong and loved it. The music is particularly good. The small choir filled the cathedral and the intonation was excellent.

Such a lovely cathedral, not one of the largest but all the better for that. Really peaceful place and a highlight was staying for Evensong sitting in the choirstalls. Really magical, we went back again another evening! Everyone was very friendly.

Beautiful cathedral. I always come and light a candle here for people who were close to me, who have died.

Our first visit to this gem of a cathedral. It is relatively small compared with some other cathedrals but the beautifully carved ceiling and graceful pillars give the feeling of great length. The steward who greeted us was very informtive. There is no entrance fee, no restriction on taking photographs, .
A small display of treasures in the chapter house with good signage also interactive information boards at strategic places. The lady chapel is interesting as the windows are filled with reclaimed flemish mediaeval stained glass. Not my taste but interersting to see how the colours differ from what we normally see.
I had come looking for a memorial tablet to my 3xgt grandfather who was a vicar choral (chorister) here for 52 years. I found it in the south transept. why he moved here from Exeter in early19C remains a mystery but it's no mystery why he never left.

I always think these buildings look better from the outside but Lichfield interior is lovely.

One of the most iconic medieval cathedrals in the England, and which dominates the skyline to city to this day. Watched over by ‘larger than life’ depiction of St Chad, for whom the church is jointly dedicated to is a must see if you are near Lichfield. Located 0.6 miles or 11 walk NW from Lichfield City railway station, you can not miss this grand old lady… Highlights include, the 8th century Lichfield Angel. Please allow 90 mins to explore and take in the history.
