Fascinating building sculptures. Child friendly with activities. Reasonable priced gift shop. You can light a candle and pray.

Absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. Lots of useful information around the cathedral as well as helpful volunteers. Will be returning once St Chad's relic altar has been restored.

We arrived in time to join the tour. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the history of St Chad, the architecture and beautiful stained glass windows and three spires.

Having arrived earlier than expected on our way yo the National Arboretum we stopped off at Lichfield and visited the magnificent cathederal . We were met by the welcomer a lady with long dark hair, we had a good wander round ,my wife asked the same lady on our way out, whoever did the guilding of gold on the statues , did they overdo it on the statue of Madonna and child as the child had one brown foot and one gold foot.

Been there a few times and in this basking heatwave it offered both an artifical seaside and deck chairs for the sun worshipers and a refreshing cool break from it inside. They have good wheelchair access via a ramp and plenty of room inside to manoeuvre. An interesting old building with an opertunity to light a candle for loved ones who have passed and a prayer slip that is collected and used in service.

First time there, epic building. Spent ages just taking the stunning architecture and the statues adorning the exterior of the cathedral. Inside was just as incredible, will definitely be going back soon.
