Visited for the Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) concert, FABULOUS. Greeted by the Dean with a good sense of humour and then moved onto the concert where the Cathedral choristers were outstanding. The show, as expected was brilliant but the inclusion of the organ made the hairs stand up. Awesome and well worth a trip from the depths of Lincolnshire! Loyd Grossman and Marc Almond mixed the evening up and whilst I like a bit of Tull (my husband is a huge fan) if Marc Almond had done Tainted Love I would have probably popped with excitement. All in all a good evening which could have only been improved by bathroom facilities and more appropriate bar prices, £5 for a bottle of beer or a mini bottle of wine? Like I said...a good sense of humour somewhere.

A wonderful place to escape the world for an hour or so. Regardless of your personal beliefs it is a place of peace and tranquility. The staff and volunteers are wonderful really friendly and helpful. It is a magnificent building and evidence that humankind can achieve some wonderful things.

he stunning exterior of this beautiful cathedral is breath taking as you approach from the west side.  This 700 year old cathedral contains some magnificent Stained glass windows made in Belgium in the early 16th Century and imported by a local benefactor in 1802 which were reconstructed in the Eastern section and should not be missed.
There a couple of medieval frescoes in the south choir aisle which avoided the damage done by the reformation which are  a delight to see.  The
Vestibule and Chapter house also have some interesting features.
If you are in Lichfield do not miss this wonderful Cathedral.

Visited Lichfield Cathedral to see a Jethro Tull Christmas Concert. The Cathedral is beautiful, however, when you enter the Cathedral someone looks at your tickets and tells you where to go. A lot of the chairs aren't showing the seat number and when we found our row it was difficult to get in the one side as the seats are too close to the row in front and so we went round the other aisle only to find someone sitting in our seats. We said to them that these were our seats and they moved straight away, I think they already knew that they were in the wrong seats as the two chairs which were their seats looked very uncomfortable. There were many people not wearing masks which wasn't very reassuring. Also, we were in row N and it was very difficult to see the stage, especially if you are small like I am. However, saying all that, we did really enjoy the concert.

The history and architecture of this magnificent building is truly humbling. From its origins in the 600s AD and dedication to St Chad through the ages to present day. The dedication to the remembrance of fallen soldiers and the display of regimental colours.

Welcoming and impressive to visit. A place for worship and prayer; especially in the Chapel of St. Chad.

Loved the cathedral. Having visited several cathedrals in the UK, I felt that they don't focus very much on the history of the people connected with Lichfield.
Loved the Christmas tree charity idea.

I'm not a huge fan of religious sites or architecture but Lichfield Cathedral is a bit of a Gothic masterpiece. The place also offers a spot of comparative calm in the business of the town centre (at least when I was there a month before Christmas) Helpful staff too, very Christian!
