What a fantastic place to visit, very moving and peaceful but also very much alive. Keith a member of staff there went above and beyond his duty to make our trip memorable and his knowledge was remarkable.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to this beautiful place, but were disappointed to find there is not a memorial to the fallen of the first and second world wars. We asked a guide the reason for this and were told it is because there are too many names to mention - we thoroughly appreciate this but then went on to visit the Polish memorial and they have listed the campaigns and the number of people killed in each of these, so don't understand why there isn't something similar for the fallen of the first and second world wars.

Have to phone ahead and book but otherwise very well organized. Social Distancing in place and lots of volunteers to advise where required. Restaurants both open and lovely shop. Well worth a visit or more as there's so much to see.

A wonderful day out, very moving. The memorials are varied, some very traditional and some more like modern sculpture. The setting by the river is lovely. In time when the trees grow more it will be stunning, and the main memorial is spectacular and dignified. Covid regs were easy to follow, plenty of space inside, and outside there is so much space, you can feel confident you'll be safe even if you're vulnerable. And the scrummy afternoon tea which we had as a takeout really good value.Dogs are allowed on a lead as long as you stick to the paths and they don't go on any of the memorials.
