A treat to see Thatcham RBL's tree. Really need to return as more time needed to see more memorials in detail, but the train and the guide on the train were marvellous!

A warm welcome from the first assistant at the door to everyone I met on site here. Convenient disabled parking. Good quality free to borrow wheelchair.
I can reccomend the land train. We had limited mobility and limited time. The commentary was informative.
Good standard of catering, again everyone was very helpful.
The number of memorials was almost overwhelming. We would visit again.
Currently be aware that exits onto A38 northbound are closed due to HS2 roadworks.

Restrooms: Modern clean and generous number available.
Reception keep a spare Radar key for the disabled facilities.

Last went 6 years ago.
Would suggest ore booking online for car park which will save some money.
Remains free entry.
Resturant good portions and good quality
You can book various golf buggy tours
But just give yourself time to walk around and enjoy arboretum and take in the impressive;dramatic;thought provoking memorial monuments.
The Polish memorial worth going to as has history of Polands significant involvement in WW11 etched into stone.
Shot at dawn haunting.
Replica trench fascinating.
Main memorial at centre an edifice to stand with structures in the somme and Ypres region.
The map given to you is not to scale and only has a fraction of memorials so just head of into trees and you might find a pebbled beach. A fairground ride;
There are computers you can look up family if involved in wars.
Just to note memorials are for all conflicts and sadly people lost

If you are wondering whether to visit the national memorial arboretum, just do it! Visited for the first time a few days ago and it was overwhelming. A wonderful setting in which to remember the tragedy and heroism of so, so many people.
It was impossible to take it all in with just one visit but still thinking about it days later. From a botanical point of view it is wonderful too.
Managed to find a memorial relevant to the family which was moving.
