I don't believe it was all that is was claimed. Sure it is important and much needed as a mark of respect but the elements that let it down was the restaurant. Flatly refused to accomodate some food at 13.33 claiming we should have been there earlier despite 9 trays of food being whisked away. Quite rude and very abrupt staff in need of professional customer service injected into them.

The paltry snacks we ended up with were more expensive than if we had gone and bought from M&S.

After a long travel to get there only to be refused a hot meal really set the tone for the day and nothing really happened that lifted it except for getting in the car and heading home, best part of the day

A beautiful open arboretum that is very peaceful to walk around that also manages to be touching and thought provoking without being over the top. So many hidden little memorials tucked away from the "show pieces". Fascinating and thought provoking in one.

Really interesting place with memorials to every regiment/ship and squadron as well as other groups and associations. I laid flowers at the bomb disposal memorial for my relative.
