Wonderful memorial gardens to the world's shameful past. Carpark charges but arboretum free to enter. 150 acres so worth paying for the guide train £6 each. The Christmas day and shot at dawn sculptures are so moving.

This is a deeply moving place, and one you won't regret visiting. While there is a large focus on military memorials and the losses of war, there are also memorials by groups such as SANDS. All ages will find something to see, from the imposing and awe inspiring Armed Forces Memorial to the Showmens Guild of Great Britain memorial with its friendly carousel horse. Add in cafes with good coffee and excellent food, picnic areas and playgrounds and you have a very full, moving, yet enjoyable day.

This is an absolute must visit. The grounds are peppered with memorials for all sorts of organisations whether they be army, air force, navy or civilian. The staff are incredibly helpful and will do everything in their knowledge to help you out. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.
The cafe is well stocked with sandwiches, hot food, cold drinks and coffee. The prices are higher than average but I'm more than happy to pay knowing the money is going to a good cause.
Entry is free but with a £5 recommended donation per person. They also offer walking tours as well as buggy tours and trips on the land train.
