Very emotional but so worthwhile. Very well laid out, even if you don't know anyone remembered there. Very thought provoking.

Extremely interesting place to visit, and thought provoking for those that served our country, also RTTW normally held first weekend in October when Bikers from all over the U.K and Europe pay respects.

How long do you have? What an amazing place, it has to rank among the top memorial sites anywhere. Great facilities, and an amazingly helpful and friendly staff. The site is quite big so don't expect o get around and see everything in a couple of hours. Well worth a visit.

We went during the summer holidays and it was very busy with only just enough parking spaces. There is a charge of £4 for the day. Entry to the site is free unless you want to use the bus tour which I think is £5. There is also a charge to some of the exhibitions. The site is extremely well maintained and a pleasure to walk round on a nice day. I don't think most people will get to see all the memorials in a day. There is a good cafe on site with plenty of seating.

Only discovered this place after seeing Prince Harry on TV there last year (2016) for Armistice Day and thought it looked like an interesting place to visit.
Finally managed to get there and it is a wonderful place. There is so much to see; all the interesting memorials and plaques. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place to spend your day. You will not be disappointed.
We bought Poppy crosses and put pictures of our loved ones on there and planted them in their regiment garden. You can see the love and care taken to keep the individual gardens looking immaculate.

The cafe is a delight with a wonderful array of cakes. Would recommend the Watermelon one - Absolutely delicious as well as amazingly decorated. The food was very tasty and most importantly HOT. Only drawback I would say is the food was VERY EXPENSIVE for what it was but then we understand this is probably how the Aboretum gains its funds in order to stay open as a FREE attraction for people to visit.

The poppy crosses are also by DONATION - Suggested amount is £2 but there is a slot so you can put what you like.

Overall this is a very tranquil and beautiful place to visit. You won't be disappointed. It is an exceptional way to remember loved ones who have passed as well as all the other brave people who lost their lives in the war and served in various ways in the Army.
