Poignant day out remembering those that gave everything in the line of duty so we can enjoy the freedoms we take for granted.

A wonderful place to visit. So tranquil as you wonder around listening to the birds and reading the memorials. Particularly moved by the Shot at Dawn memorial. So glad those young men were pardoned and can be remembered. Excellent facilities too. Lovely cafe.

We decided to stop here on the way home. Thought we would only be an hour, three hours later we were amazed at all the different monuments commemorating all services. Unfortunately we could not stay longer, and did not see everything. The staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful, definitely worth a visit.

Visited to see the commemoration for a family war hero who was awarded a medal for his brave missions during ww2. The location has amazing facilities with a large cafe and visitor building to enjoy. The grounds themselves are well kept and the memorials a splendor to the eye, while a fitting reminder of what the few gave for the many. The site os access friendly and moat paths suitable for wheelchairs or the ambulant.

Where can you start to describe a place like this, a place to dwell on the sacrifice of so many. It's a beautiful place, very touching and can bring a lump to your throat as you walk around and read all the plagues.
Its a place you will never forget visiting, somewhere I think everyone should visit. Its a stunning setting with so much to see. but not rushed. You can always find a nice quiet spot to sit and reflect, plenty of seating as you wonder round and such lovely well kept grounds. a wonderful inspirational place to be thankful for what we have.

This is a beautiful and poignant development on an old quarry. The site has been well planned with a circular route round the memorials and the main memorial is in thr middle. In addition there is a large car park on site and a well stocked cafeteria. It is an excellent place to go and pay your respects to the fallen both military and civilian services. If you don't want or need to do that then it is a pleasant Arboretum to walk round one fine day.

I was attending a memorial service. The place is serene, peaceful and calming to amble around. Access is good, with buggies to hire which will get over the grass. Most sites have wheelchair access. The toilet in the main reception has good facilities, free and clear of obstacles. See photos.
