Writers’ Centre Norwich is a literature development agency based in Norwich. We are interested in both the artistic and social impact of creative writing, and work with writers, readers and diverse communities on a wide range of projects and events.
Writers' Centre Norwich led the bid which resulted in Norwich becoming the first UNESCO City of Literature in England.
We run literature events, projects, creative writing prizes and competitions including: a reading programme, Summer Reads; our literary festival, Worlds; Refugee Week events; readings and a talent development scheme, Escalator Literature.
We also provide creative writing workshops and courses covering poetry, (live literature, performance, and form), prose fiction and non-fiction and run schools workshops and library events.
