Great venue to have with their pizza oven. Price was good too, thought it would have been more for stone bake pizza
Was about £10 for a normal one

Stayed here when attending a wedding nearby. Lovely setting. Good breakfast. Looks like a popular wedding venue at weekends so avoid if you want a bit of solitude. I found it cheaper to book through booking site than through their website. I enjoyed it.

Room a little dated but visit totally made by the exceptional levels of customer service which is sometimes lost in hotels nowadays.

Particular thanks to Kristen and the General Manager for their attention to detail and ensuring the high levels of service.

We visited the restaurant as a family for Fathers Day. The food was excellent, the beef joint was cooked how we requested, lots of veg and the creamy peas with bacon were very tasty. Plenty of food and we were given more upon request. Lots of gravy and lovely crumble for pudding. Overall impressed with the roast.

Unfortunately there are a few things that would have made the overall experience a little more rounded. Things we expected to see from a posh hotel were things like linen napkins instead of paper and nice goblet gin glasses instead of the straight standard water glasses for gin & tonics. The staff were helpful, although they could have been more friendly and a ‘hello and welcome to our restaurant’ is always nice when you walk in before going straight to just bluntly saying what’s the name.. It’s just the little things that make a big difference I guess.

Well done to all the employees for their attentiveness during our two night stay. We enjoyed our room, evening meals and breakfasts. The grounds and indoor facilities were well cared for. Out Trainee Guide Dog was made a big fuss of and we felt like royalty!

Nice hotel, lovely grounds but the drinks prices are ridiculous. Single vodka & coke & a pint of lager over £12. Thats dearer than london prices!!!

We had to cancel due to travel restrictions. The staff was very friendly and efficient cancelling the accomodation and went out of their way to help and return some PCR tests we ordered.

As a key worker have stayed at this hotel recently, great WiFi, rooms are excellent and good exercise walks on the doorstep. There is a single meal evening option with no dessert on offer that needs to be booked in advance.

The breakfast is a bag and go which has an apple, two croissants breakfast bar, orange juice and a yogurt, would be good if it offered other fresh fruit and low fat or 0% fat free yogurt as an option, staff very friendly and would stay again if working in Shropshire

This is a great experience from the start. The excitement of driving up to the hotel, seeing the moat and the black swans sitting on the embankment.First view of the marquee,(now a permanent feature)and wondering which picnic table was ours.We had a nice meet and greet,he took us to our table and gave us menus,a very good choice of pizzas and sides. Our drinks arrived and we enjoyed the scenery. The food arrives from the main house on the back of a milk float ( sort of)and then they serve it to you. The pizzas sit in there own huge box and look good ,what didn't look good was the rain heading our way .With outdoor dining there's always a race on to eat your food before it gets too cold especially two large pizzas. The doughballs were big and dry but the fries were tasty. We shared the pizzas and enjoyed them very much.Have to add my Peroni lager was very expensive, dearest in town I would think don't know why.We will go again when the weather is slightly warmer.Good experience.

We ordered a roast dinner knowing that it would be a good meal and hoped it would still be hot when we got home
Wow we were certainly not disappointed
We had a roast beef dinner, there was so much food and hot even when it took us 15 minutes to get back home.
This is a takeout that everyone should try, it was first class food highly recommend
We will certainly be having another
