Nothing has been too much trouble even if it meant changing the drawings again before they went off for approval. They have made the whole process stress free!

Katie came out and reviewed our 'wrong' plans (another designer), then redesigned everything within a short space of time, making the most of the new space, and offered advice for when the extension was finished. We 100% recommend Binney&Sims services. We wanted to extend our 3 bed detached house and really could not get our head around how we wanted to design it. We had all the questions everyone does, such as "can we do this, can we do that" and it was quite frustrating not having the knowledge. We also did not want to pay alot of money for our initial designs in case we wanted to change them. Every Architect we looked at or considered, offered packages that were just so expensive, none were less than £1000-£3000. I was advised by a friend to consider technical drawers instead. While searching for one, I found B&S and called them immediately. I spoke to Katie who gave me advice over the phone and arranged to visit us. She arrived on time, was well presented, very friendly and easy to talk to. She is full of knowledge about the building trade and put all our ideas into order. We didnt look at anyone else after meeting Katie and hired her services. Within a week, we had recieved our 1st set of drawings. They were brilliant and exactly what we imagined our extension would look like. The drawings were very professional and easy to understand. We requested some slight amendments which Katie did with no fuss or bother and in quick time. We then instructed Katie to submit our drawings for planning permission. It went very smoothly and we were kept upto date all the way by Heather at B&S. What we loved was we knew exactly what was happening, when it was and roughly how long things were going to take.
The flex in B&S's communication was brilliant. We kept in contact mainly through their FB page - messenger, so it was nice and easy. A couple of times we would send a message at 6pm or after and would still recieve a reply in minutes. If we needed anything we just gave them a call and the phone was always answered.
Finally, the bill from B&S was absolutely spot on. I genuinely believe their fees are a fair figure and completely realistic.
The other positive non stressful factor was that we did not have to buy the whole package (1st drawings, PP submission, structural calcs, full management of the build) we could pick and choose what we wanted. This worked really well for us; because we have a friend who is a structural engineer and was helping us do the calcs. He was also very impressed with the drawings and even happier when B&S sent them via email in a format he was able to use and adjust to how he needed them to be.
If we need this type of service again the I would 100% use B&S. Its a breath of fresh air to find a professional, reliable and friendly firm that doesnt charge the earth but provides the same quality service you'd expect after paying thousands. Thanks guys

What a wonderfully relaxed, unpressured approach this Company takes when dealing with their new clients.
A fully consultative approach was taken where my views and the project environment, access etc. were all carefully considered.
My project was twofold; restorative work on my 20 year old hardwood, 50 SqMtr Orangery and a modern conservatory style extension in hardwood adjacent to it.
As my home is Grade 2 Listed the design of the new extension was sympathetic assessed with the existing structures and compliant with the wishes of the Bedfordshire Conservation team.
The restoration work including re-leading of the gables, gutter repairs and re-painting of the whole structure is beautiful and has put another 20 years of life on the Orangery.
Very professional and unpressured service all round.

Katie was prompt in visiting our home and quickly grasped the concept of what we were looking for in an extension to our home to accommodate an ageing parent. The design was prepared with due consideration to the existing Georgian style house and the extension plan submitted to the local Planners for their consideration. At short notice, the requirement called for an additional tree study and this was handle by Katie to meet a tight deadline imposed by the Planners. The plans were successful and we were most impressed with all our dealings with Binney and Sims Ltd and the excellent feed back that we received during the whole planning process. Well done.

Excellent service from Katie and the team at Binney and Sims. Katie came out to me to discuss a rear extension, where we wanted a large open plan kitchen space but had to include a cloakroom, of which we could only see one option which didn't make the most of the space. Katie came up with an ingenious and inventive layout meaning we also gained a utility room, while still having a seven metre long kitchen diner with full width bifolds! She was excellent throughout the process and kept us updated throughout the planning application. Now planning is approved, we can't wait to see her vision come to life! Highly recommend.

We as a company have used Binney and Sims Conservatories for both my company requirements and an extension to my home.

We have found the company most helpful with the design stage as we only had ideas that were talked about Katie went away and produced workable options which were tweaked and combined giving us exactly what we required.

When one of my clients was looking for planning for his conservatory and was getting nowhere Katie again stepped in and sorted the planners out within a few days verbal planning was given. Written consent did take a little longer but that was down to the planning committee.
