Had a delicious meal here with some friends during a visit in September. They were quite excited to go, as the place had gone through some changes just prior. The staff was very friendly, although they were a little slow sometimes. Our food was very tasty, and they made some modifications for my fish to make it gluten free.

Recently refurbished (it had been open only six weeks on our visit) this is modern pub associated with a microbrewery based in Bury St Edmunds called brewshed, you can expect good food and good quality beers here. We really enjoyed an evening meal and would definitely recommend The Fox.

Great meal with friends last Saturday at the newly reopened Bulmer Fox! The restaurant has been freshly refurbished and the atmosphere had a lovely ambience. We were seated in a booth which was very comfortable and private. Food was delicious and service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend booking in advance!

Recently re-opened (this week I think) The Fox in Bulmer Tye has new management, style, beers and menu.   We visited early on a Saturday evening,  they were fully booked but squeezed us in. All the staff were really welcoming and friendly,  great job.   The Brewshed Best Bitter was lovely,  as was the Scotch egg starter, brilliant.  The Pork schnitzel with fries, was a fair effort, but if compared to the schnitzel at the Hare and Hounds, Leavenheath, wasn't that good.  Oh, the complimentary bread ... was lovely. Overall, has to be 5 stars.

Nice big car park for us classic car enthusiasts, food was good and beer OK but a limited choice for the latter. Staff struggled a bit with a sudden influx of orders from club members but they were very friendly and cheerful. Overall a strong four stars, worth a try.

Lovely food, good service and nice atmosphere. Clean toilets and good bar range. Recommend the ginger icecream and the featherblade steak.

Our first visit to The Fox since reopening. We loved the food especially the big chips, the portions were generous. The staff are well trained and professional. If in Suffolk, do try the Crown at Hartest and One Bull, St Edmunds. You won’t be disappointed.

First time I have been since re-opening, I have to say thefood was well cooked, the staff friendly and polite, dinning area light and airy and appeared to be plenty of room around each of the dinning tables, I would suggest you give it a try, the menu clearly will change with the seasons for me an all round pleasant eating experience.

I came for dinner with a group of friends for a catch up and had a wonderful evening. I am vegan and there were a few enticing options and both the adapted starter and cauliflower steak main were delicious! Service was impeccable, really friendly and patient staff with any questions, checking back and splitting the bill. Love the interior - feels spacious yet cosy and great coffee and a cool bar!

I visited the pub for lunch & choose from the specials menu. 2 courses for £14. The portion sizes were just right, I didn't feel bloated. There was a few choices for pescatarians which was nice. The food was hot, tasty & arrived quickly. Nice atmosphere & the staff were very friendly.

Had dinner here for the first time under the new ownership. The staff were friendly and very helpful, made us feel very welcome and like valued customers, a rarity these days
The food was delicious. I could not fault it. I had ham hock to start with. It was a large portion for a stArter but a couple of us shared them so we could enjoy the rest of the meal. I the. Had the pork rib, I would highly recommend this dish, the accompanying red cabbage was full of flavour and a great winter vegetable. I did not have dessert but those who did had no complaintsWill definitely be going back. Intend to visit fir Sunday lunch too

First visit since having new owners. We were a party of 7 for a light lunch and dietary needs. The staff offered a vegan alternative with no trouble, they were very attentive, enthusiastic and professional. The fat chips were delicious and I enjoyed my smoked mackerel with sourdough. Missed the bread with olive oil and balsamic but had sourdough and butter instead. I for one will be returning.
